  • Camera died part way through filming. So i didn't try much with the edit. Was machining stock sodastream bottle fitting to accept 1/8" npt

You definitely need a new battery...
Looking forward to see the results but why not buy one of those sodastream adaptors and skip the heavy work?

DoNotPushHere battery is actually pretty decent, I just often forget to recharge it. This time battery had almost a full charge, but it was like 15°f in the garage. Killed the battery pretty quickly. And I could get an adapter, but it just adds weight and more length. Also, the stock pin valve is extremely restrictive to flow. Usually I drill and tap them for 1/4 npt, but as this was going on something with a 1/4 inch barrel (which has the smallest i.d. / is the most restrictive to flow) I taped this for 1/8 npt

Also I have the lathe, might as well use it : p

Swan Donovan but I don't get it... I am used to work in metrics but isn't 1/4 bigger than 1/8? If I understood you correctly, you are going to restrict the flow through a 1/8 tap before letting it expand to a 1/4 barrel? I think I missed something.
Anyway if I had a lathe I'd do the same as you. I'm too used to not having one and thinking of alternatives. I think I heard of some airsoft guys having special adaptors but...you have a lathe :)
15f battery dies? I thought they work better on cold... Again, I usually work in C, but 15f sounds darn cold!

DoNotPushHere haha yeah it's pretty cold here. And pipe thread is kind of confusing. 1/8 inch npt has an outside diameter of roughly .405 inches. So the hole through it / inside diameter is larger than .250" or 1/4 inch. And the quarter inch barrel is quarter inch outside diameter and probably less than .200 inches ID. So no point in intentionally making any port larger than the most restrictive

Swan Donovan understood now! Btw I looked for the 15f to ye olde Celsius I am used to, and it is not as for a battery to die AFAIK Electronics shouldn't withstand at least -20C aka -4F? Meh...whatever
      Nice work as always
