Thank you again. got it! Cant wait to get started. My Grandson saw your blanket and wanted one just like the cable twist. Now I can send him off to college with a cozy blanket. thanks again..
Oh my goodness you’re the best in explaining how to knit cables. Your voice is so calm. Thank you. I will be looking for all of your tutorials on different stitches. Than you again.
Thanks so much for all your tutorials, I’ve been watching and learning so much. Up until a few months ago all I could do was knit scarves with basic knit and purl stitches. I’ve just finished my first newborn cardigan with your 3 part tutorial. I’m so happy. And I always thought cable would be too difficult for me but you have made it seem so easy and I can’t wait to try now. Thanks again for your calming manner, you teach so well.
Thank you. I have done some cabling, but this tutorial really helps me improve my technique! I tend to have lumpy cables. I like the idea of the bobby pin!
Thank you for making this appear so easy. I'm a beginner knitter and wished I had seen this video before my first knitted project of cable knit gift card holder. I did figure it out after many frustrating froggings. I don't really know anyone who Knits to go to in person with questions. You are an awesome teacher. May God Bless you and keep you.
I’m looking forward to follow this one. All your others I had success, doing the wave one right now and should of used smaller needles but that’s ok. I tried to do cables with other UA-camrs and undid my work 5 times and gave up. So happy to see this notification. Will try it will let you know. I love your tutorials.
Honestly I have never seen such a clear explanation of how to knit before. It’s half the fact that you can see up close and at a good pace and, importantly, Carolina’s reassuring voice and manner that it IS possible and often easy. She really inspires confidence which is a great thing. Go ‘So Woolly’.
Hello Carolina! Haven't progressed to doing cables yet but definately going to give it a go using a bobby pin (or as we call it in Glasgow, a Kirby Grip!) now that I have watched your wonderful tutorial and techniques for this stitch. As always, your calming voice, clear instructions, colour contrasts and zoom are extremely helpful to me. Thank you for all that you so kindly share with us, your it is always truly appreciated ❤ 🌟
I enjoy your instructions so much. You are so easy to listen to which is so relaxing and calm. For me, as a beginner, I definitely do not get my needles in a twist because your instructions are so easy to follow. Thank you so much.
7:25 - Here is where the action starts! (row 5) -- this is a great introduction to cable stitching, I might just try it. Usually I avoid anything to do with cable stitching, but you make it look so easy! x
Oh, I’m sorry! You need to cast on multiples of 16 + 2 + 2 (edge stitches). For example: 16 * 3 = 48 + 2 = 50 + 2 (edge st) = 52. Those extra 2 are needed! Take a look at the written instructions, in the description box 😉
Hello! It’s an 8 row repeat pattern. Once you finished the eight row, you start from row 1 again. What I did in this video was after completing 8 rows, I knitted rows 1-4 off camera, to get to show you row 5 again 😉
Yes, that would be great (don’t forget to add a nice edge on each side of the blanket). To calculate how many stitches, the measurements, and how much yarn, you need to see this tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/rv21nHjdq-E/v-deo.html

I learned a lot from tutorials .
You come up with clever alternatives. I would have never even thought of using a bobby pin that way. Smart woman with amazing skill you are.

P.S. it’s the first time i attempted to make a cable, i was always afraid to even try, not anymore thank you.
I’m happy to hear it! Thanks again for your comments 🤗
it was so clear and easy, i was panicking with the idea, but it was fine with this video.
Thank you for letting me know! Happy knitting 🤗
Thank you
Very much for replying so soon. I wasn't too sure what 16+2+2, what the extra 2 was for

It's a beautiful stitch I like it 🙂
Thank you 😊
Thank you so very much. Great video
Thank you 😊!
HI, love your videos.... with this pattern the multiples are 16x do I keep adding multiples of 16 then add 2 stitches for the selvage edges? thank you
Thank you! Yes, that’s how it works. Happy knitting 🤗
One question, do you repeat row 5 after you have completed 8 rows then return to row 1 through 8 😊
Hello! It’s an 8 row repeat pattern. Once you finished the eight row, you start from row 1 again. What I did in this video was after completing 8 rows, I knitted rows 1-4 off camera, to get to show you row 5 again 😉
@@sowoolly Thank you very much for answering my question. I am a huge fan of So Woolly. I enjoy the tutorials. Happy knitting
Thank you Connie, and happy knitting 🤗
thx
You’re welcome ☺️

Could I use this pattern for a blanket? How many stitches would I cast on?
Yes, that would be great (don’t forget to add a nice edge on each side of the blanket). To calculate how many stitches, the measurements, and how much yarn, you need to see this tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/rv21nHjdq-E/v-deo.html
Thanks
Give me the stitch holder rather than the crooked needle.
