Gotta say that I love the fact that there is not 2000 $ machine inside. Not every PC mod needs to have multi thousand dollar amount of components. Really looks fantastic!

Congratulations friend, your video was beautiful, the care, attention and affection you had to record it was clear in the final result. I wouldn't call it a Casemod as it just painted and trimmed the side cover. Bring us part two, eliminate the support and the DVD bay and change the place of the power supply, make room for cooling the power supply on the bottom of the case, I'm sure this will raise the level of your case and with the work beautiful look that you do, it will be one of the best casemod videos on UA-cam. A big hug from Brazil!
Just upgraded the PC of my nieces and now I have their old ones laying around, thinking of modding them so I found your video, really interesting! I'd add the media dashboards to the 5.25 bays, would be cool.

Nice work. I'm still have my first custom case from 2007ish, though it's missing the acrylic side panel. I plan to do something just like this with it in the future- I'll make a new side panel that's just one big window. It's a Raidmax Aztec case (orange accented version). The front panel still works just as it should but it's old- it has 4 CD slots and nothing but old HDD mountings since SSD's weren't a thing back then so I'll cut all that out and work that into a spot for a AIO and probably cut some holes for extra fans. Cases were a lot different back then but I've kept it since it was my first real case. It has some neat features where the back doesn't actually come off, but folds out making it easier (for the time) to work on your rig. It's majorly obsolete now but if I did something like this I can give it some new life. I'm going to do it up in all White with black accents- Black and white is my go-to when using RGB, the white turns into whatever color my rgb is setup to display. I may even get crazy with it and mount mirrors an every internal surface that I can without messing up functionality- that's one thing I've always wanted to do with a custom PC.
My next idea with custom cases I want to do (I'll probably do this first/soonish)- I want to make an all wood case using my laser engraver, which I'd sell as a kit so others will be able to buy the kit and maybe even the files so others with a CNC or laser cutter can also make their own.
One little tip- get some very fine grit sandpaper (2000-4000 grit) and maybe sand down the acrylic with a bit of water and it'll look like glass when you're done. I used to do this on the old cases I had when acrylic windows were still more common than glass, they'd get fogged/faded over time and a quick sanding would get rid of all the imperfections (obviously not deep gouges but you probably get what I'm saying).
Anyway, very impressive! I think it's pretty neat that it's still using what looks to be older hardware instead of going top tier on everything! Thanks for the vid! Sub earned ;)

great job, son. the 3D printing, the computer work, the design, the construction of the LED strips, the mechanics, the plexiglass, the sanding, were all outstanding. I'm sorry, but you did get a 5 point penalty assed because of the black primer. not sure why you would make a rookie mistake like that. was it because of a deadline at midnight with no ride to the store, 10 feet of snow on the ground, blizzard, hurricane, tornado, wife having a baby, date with a super model, zombie apocalypse, tsunami, a rip in the time/space continuum, Godzilla attack, to get some gray primer? still, a 95 though. 😀

How is this DIY (Do it yourself). Nobody has a 3d printing machine at home.
Million of people have 3D printers. I have 7 of them
@@AlexanderSmith600 You also have tools, working table, space for paint things, cutting machine. Extra PC to programme printing machine and money to buy stuff for printing machines. I suggest everyone buy a Better cabinet. People can buy many cabinets instead of 3D printing machine.

I don't like the idea of you calling something made after 1999 old, my Current PC is almost 10 years old, but I have machines made in the 1990's, I wouldn't dare mod any of them though. To each his own.
