That PSU and the cabling is a work of art.
Thank you! :))
Truly masterful work.
Tempting to say.. what cables.. Magic.
Yeah
i came when i watched it
I almost never saw a build that's so simple, yet so well planned. Everything fits nicely, nothing overengineered. The modded PSU, the sliding internals, the simplicty and the nice look. Just awesome!
Thank you! I did try hard to keep it very minimalist, glad you appreciate it as well :))
Absolutely amazing build!
Was a pleasure working with you :)
Thanks again for providing the GPU! It fits in the case like a glove :D
awesome seeing you guys working with smaller content creators! I truly enjoyed this piece and the GPU looked awesome in the case! :D
a black mesh could be a good addition to the look and dust prevention
have a tnd
Then the PC would become like a speaker system)
In fact, this is a matter of taste, dust can be easily removed with compressed air without disassembling the entire PC.
open case is easier to clean plus he design it to where if he has to blow dust out, its holding only 4 screws
And yes, it'll ruin the look of it
I would prefer glass.
Man this are the builds that the world needs! This is simply beautiful, I don't own those build pc's for the reason that there are not cases like that. I don't have much experience building pc but I would definitely love to build one like that when I do! Thank you for this video.
Thanks for your comment. Greatly appreciated :))
Even Fractal North can't compare to this, I love their design but this custom made case and modding the PSU is another level, very great job bro. 😁
Thanks very much for your comment! Glad you liked it :))
but it prob cost like 10x more
fantastic attention to detail, really well done!
Thank you very much
Don't encourage him - others will start doing this shit - its going to be pandemic of stupid wooden cases. Its stupid ! Period !
People might not realize how hard it is to replicate this, amazing work!
Thanks for the recognition!
Beautiful case... It definitely provides some inspiration. I would to figure out a cross between this and a copper steampunk aesthetic for an ITX water cooled build. The imagination is running wild. 👍
Have you checked out my previous build where I added some custom copper accents?
Pro tip when doing a groove with your router use the rounded part to run against your fence since it's the same distance away from the middle of the router.
The reason for this is if you use flat part one wrong movement would get you a crooked groove but if you use the rounded part you have some wiggle room before the groove goes crooked.
Other than that nice project! Good job!
That's a great tip! I will definitely try that the next time. Can't believe I never thought about it before. Thank you very much ❤️
What an awesome build! I love the custom work with the PSU. it's usually one of the things causing the biggest headache in a clean build and even if I have swapped out fans and such, I have never had the guts to shorten the cables. :)
This design, with the removable partition, is a great idea for mini ITX builds. Removes all tight space issues when installing components and cable management.
Thank you! I think it would have been impossible to do this build without that feature
This looks incredible. The CPU temps were surprisingly high considering its practically open air, still not alarming though. I love how the 6600 xt fits so perfect on the back half of the pc.
Thank you! I agree with the temps, that's why I was abit disappointed. I'm positive it's due to the orientation of the heatsink fins. The air flow through them is now restricted by the ram sticks and the IO shield on the other side. And I assume what little air is able to pass through that is immediately sucked back into the fan...
Yeah, those CPU temps are a bit high. I'm not sure if it's going to be any better after a few months of dust build-up 🤔?
@@mxcbuilds6633 Você pode abrir algumas aletas, formando uma grade para que o ar quente saia pelas laterais igual fez na fonte, para que o ar não seja sugado novamente pelo CPU fan.
Beautiful result, and great job on the custom cables. I was very curious about thermals so I'm glad you showed them at the end too. I'm not surprised the cooling wasn't perfect but not a terrible sacrifice for that aesthetic.
Thanks for watching! Yes I agree it's far from the best, but for the looks it's worth it
So cool. I know very little about 3D printing, would love to see how you design components from concept to finish in the next video. Subscribed!
Hmm I was thinking of doing such a video but it would be so long and I'm not sure if many people would be interested in the full process. I will consider it, thank you
so clean! the slot design seems very satisfying.
Thank you! I love it when all the parts slide into the case haha
Your work is impeccable. This build is astounding. Well done! 👏🏻 ❤
Thank you! Glad you liked it
This is a really incredible project, it looks fantastic and it's very well engineered. I especially enjoyed the clever use of 3D printed parts, brass inserts and painted detail. Very well done.
Thanks for your comment! Greatly appreciated. Consider subscribing to support this channel :))
Such a clean build ❤
Thank you sir
This is a complete work or art. My only worry is about the ground on the parts. 0 issues?
Tip: Try to unvolt the CPU, you will have better temps with same performance. Directly on the bios, do not use apps or intel app.
Thank you, yes no issues with the functionality so far. So far the noise has not been an issue during normal usage.
I like the slot design ! I wonder if it could be integrated into a composite base, like carbon fibre, or flax fibre, for a small production run !
Do you mean the groove? Would be interesting to see
DUDE holy shit I've been waiting for someone to make something neat like that
Every other wood case I see on youtube doesn't look good compared to this
Amazing work! I really like the detail and planning you take for each build :)
Thank you very much :D
Very cool! I'm so glad you didn't oil the wood! Looks much better this way
Be cool to see a water cool build like this where you could recess the flat reservoirs into the timber and have a dozen different ways to have pipework accent the build.
Have you checked out my previous water cooled build where I used an AIO? Maybe that could be adapted to hardline cooling in future.
This is a great work. I would also love to see the sides covered with a white mesh and the central mobo mounting wood to be perforated for cross ventilation. Then maybe a minimal front IO too.
Great suggestions, thank you for watching!
A true work art!! Beautiful PC.
protip from a woodworker - use a plastic straw cut at an angle to scoop up the glue squeeze out from the inside corners once you clamp it up, then dab with a moist brush and wipe it away. no more residue, and a super clean look. James Krenov approved technique (my teacher was a student of his) :)
you can also gently burnish the outside edges to get an even cleaner miter. and sometimes, you can even cut at 44.5 degrees to make sure the outer angle is perfect, though it's difficult to cut a perfect cut there without a tablesaw.
Those are great tips! Will try them out next time :)
Wonderfully done once again, both the project and the video. Have you ever considered working with glass panels btw?
Thank you! Check out my first 2 builds, they have stained glass on both sides.
Ohh man, that would be sick!
craftsmanship at its finest.
Thanks for watching! :D
Very nice build, the random tips you gave throughout the video were really helpful - lots of simple useful things about woodworking that don’t get mentioned in other videos.
Glad you found it helpful! :)
Love it. 8:07 so satisfying to see you slide the tray into place. Snug fit. Beautiful work. Keep up the good energy!
Thank you!
Love the video! I'm more of a metalworker than a woodworker, so the little tips you give out throughout the video are super helpful.
Thanks for the positive feedback :))
the PSU alone is a feat excellent job!
Looks great and importantly looks practical to work on. Miter joints are harrrd, any tiny flaws at all are easily visible. Nice job.
Thank you!
🥰🥰 best upload yet
this is amazing! I love how the components look with the wood
Thanks!
😍😍😍 yay another upload
*Kind of addicted to watching these builds, I want to go itx just don't wanna invest in all the itx parts*
Thank you! Yeah ITX parts are pricey unfortunately
Very good! But I would add perforated glass on the sides because the cat will get into the cooling system... =)
Looks great, reminds me of vintage reel to reel machines
One of the best, i've seen 'til now. Thank You!
Wow, thanks!
Well crap, there it is, wood envy!! You sir have a beautifully blessed talent.
Thank you very much!
the psu modification alone was spectacular.
Thank you!
Great idea for a niche tech oriented channel, good production value (aside of some sound artifacts between voice-over clips), really nice and clean build.
Yeah really weird audio spikes in the clip, I think I had it on my previous video as well. Might be from the background music...
i gotta luv how 3 printing has made costume pc making more of a thing
Nice one, bro. Keep it up. 👍🏼
This is solid, I probably would have done the same thing with the PSU
such a great craftmanship here!
Thank you!
@@mxcbuilds6633 hi bro, may I know what model is that 80mm fan?
some really good tips and tricks that are just dropped in there incidentally - impressive
Wanted to make the videos more informative as well. Glad you picked it up ☺️
Fantastic work to detail! Really well done heater!
crazy work for cabling management and the most important is the layout design! You said in the end about the airflow issue, I was thought same while watching the video from start and I was thinking, putting blower fan in the back might help haha, just an idea.
Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately I think blower fans are quite loud as well
While it is decent, the biggest issue will be when it contracts and expands based on humidity, which can pull on the motherboard as the screw positions change from expansion and contraction of the wood. The moisture in wood could also potentially cause a problem with electronics. This is why wood isn't really used for PC cases. Metal doesn't absorb moisture and it's not an insulator. It does expand with temperature, but not by much, and since everything else is metal it expands pretty much the same too. Temperature shifts will also cause this moisture change, since the heat from the components will dry out the wood, making it contract.
All valid points. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but all of the cases I've built have not had issues with expansion and contraction. Sealing the wood with wax, varnish really helps reduce the changes in moisture.
With wood and hot dry heat, you also get the benefit of the SUANA experience :))
This is one of the most beautiful builds I have ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
that's really nice, well done sir 🙂
Most any Box Store will sell aluminum panels that would close up both sides will still allowing massive airflow or you could buy the panels online too... Excellent project, very well done...
Do you mean mesh panels?
@@mxcbuilds6633 Yes, exactly, was sort of tired when I wrote this and what they were called just slipped my mind and I was too tired to Google it... LOL... But yes, Mesh Panels. They vary in size of hole and what not and many have awesome designs for such a project...
Now this is a piece of art.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T430 laptop with a broken screen and I am planning to put it inside a Sony PS4 Fat Housing.
You deserve a subscribe bud
Thanks for your support! Let me know how the laptop project goes :)
I'd try to make one that incorporates a Noctua NH-D15 (preferably chromax blaxk) into it for way better temperatures and whisper silent running.
Love the wood design!
I expected to see a video about building a wooden pc. I saw art by the hands of gods instead. Good Job Bro!
Haha thank you for the great compliment!
Love it! Wood's warm, clean, provided by nature.
Yes! Thank you!
Love seeing the CAT PSU getting some love, as well as mods! I did a fan mod to mine as well, I added a separate internal fan controller for the noctua fan and made it to very slow. Not loud and also not hot!
Great work
Круто, жалко в Москве таких энтузиастов нет!
You're very skilled individual. Great build!
You are so awesome you made such a beautiful work of art I just happened to stumble upon your channel And I'm amazed
Thank you so much, I hope you enjoy my other builds as well
Pretty cool. You just need some Mid Century Speaker Grill Cloth to finish the look.
Nicely fabricated, but you need a Grounded metal sheet to provide a RF Ground return.
With out an RF Ground the system will be unstable and could fail, that's why PC cases are made of metal and not wood!
Cheers!
Thanks for the feedback!
Amazing build! Thanks for showing the process!
Thanks for watching!
Nice! Great craftsmanship
It's on a level of an art. Respect.
Thank you!
something i would've added to protect it from dust, is a fly screen on both sides.
it probably would involve some trial and error because of the fans distorting it
adding steel-wire to the fly screen could do the trick
Thanks for the suggestion!
That power supply cable management 👌🏽.
Thank you! I spent so much time on it, especially that 24 pin!
totally underrated build, this is excellent. keep it up.
Thanks for the support!
Now that is custom build! Hats off to you friend 👏!
Thank you for watching! :))
Absolutely different level bro
Thanks for your support! :)
watching you build this was the perfect way to start my day with some solid inspiration, what a great build
Thank you very much!
Loving the simplicity of this build , but I would like to make a suggestion, if you was to replace the central piece of wood, that is slotted inside the case for a piece of clear Perspex , and this with you, and then illusion that everything is floating inside the box
That is a cool suggestion! I will consider it. My concern with that will be all the cables will be less easy to hide haha
You have a kick-ass lumber yard. Wow! 👍🏼👍🏼
Yes very fortunate to have good access to quality wood
that slide was sick
RECOMMENDATION: when soldering two cable ends together, it is better to pre-tin each end, then solder them side by side to create an edge joint. NASA utilizes this method. Stranding and twisting the wires together can create air pockets which may increase the resistance value of the joint.
Thank you for that recommendation! Will try it out next :)
If this is not called art, I do not understand the life.
Greetings from Argentina.
Thank you!
Nice and clean. A few drilled holes in the middle component bard would have helped air flow and temps. Good job.
Thanks for the tip
nice build from IBM member.
Thanks!
This is super amazing!!! If I were doing this I might also try to add a simple mesh cover to the sides! Great job!
Beautiful. Have you considered splines to dress up your miter joints? Or experimenting with other forms of fancy joinery? I do like the clean minimalist look this has though.
I have so far liked the look of the clean mitred joints, but I've made a few of them already and am starting to slowly thinking about trying something different. I've never done hand cut joinery before so that might be interesting...
a wood case will also act as an insulator, so your temps are probably being affected by that
Bro you are amazing ❤
Thank you for making me enjoying with this art
From algeria🇩🇿
Thanks for watching!
Didn't know Giovanni Giorgio also built PCs. Well done.
Haha thanks!
Amazing and so inspiring!
You should make the middle wood with lots of small halls so the air flows through it. Looks amazing
That's a great suggestion!
Beautifull build, and yeah having the cpu cooler fins being vertical is a world of difference as most of the air is blown to the RAM with like a mil or two of clereance.
Thank you! My thought exactly. Too bad I can't rotate it with this motherboard
I decided a long time ago that pc cases were a stupid idea because you need so many fans to get the heat out there is hardly any case left so this seems a good compromise and looks vastly better for my tastes. I took things to the next logical step and just mounted all my components to a board with a slide out under my desk, great cooling, low noise, free and invisible.
When you guys mod the psu for the noctua instead of plugging it into psu board plug it into the motherboard and set the curve in the bios to optimize it for the noise!
you are genius , good job ❤❤
Thank you!
The layout and PSU mods are great. From your prints, it looks like you're very comfortable in CAD. You should invest in a 4040 CNC machine.
I would love to have a laser cutter and CNC but space is a constraint in my apartment
Great build, I might try similar stuff myself for the next build. A little tip for the B-rolls, please shoot with higher frame rates and then slow it down, it won't feel as jittery.
Thanks for the tip!
You get better with each built!
Thank you for following my progress :)
0:15 It's a great stock of wood. I wish there was a store like this near my house.
Excellent work man, i was always looking out for some wooden pc case build and you totally nailed it
Thank you, glad you liked it 😊
That mobo power cable 🤩🤩
Thanks for noticing! It's a small part of the build that most would not. But it took soooo much time to get it that compact ❤️
