A better way to determine the spring constant is by applying Hooke's law. Load the spring with different masses and in each case, record the extension. Plot a graph of mass against extension. The slope of the graph is the spring constant. Yeah, this method will take a little time. But it is more accurate than that method you used.
This is great Sir. You have helped us as physics teachers. However, I think the oscillation part should be faster than you have counter. One complete oscillation is when the spring moves to and fro.
@@maths-physicshub Good morning sir....Pls can I get those questions you have on your paper...I mean copy of that question which include the set up thanks
Amazing one. Thanks a lot. Can you please show those formulas in your next video? Kudos foe the manipulation trick. Worked perfectly. Lookup forward to the video on light and electricity and if there is manipulation too. Please help touch it. I appreciate the work you do
Good Afternoon Please I like to know what you notice about WAEC practical question for no 3, 2023 electricity. After the connection I notice I can't achieve all the I readings using the 2v. Please I like to know your view on this? Thanks
Its of note here that your oscillation counting is wrong. Again, I know that the spring constant can also be calculated using k = f/e. I think WAEC may want us to measure the extension of the helical spring as more weights are added and then determine the spring constant from the values of F and e. A graph of F against e will be plotted to produce a straight line graph from the origin.
You are right about the counting I started it in the video so I don't know maybe you are just too in a hurry to talk about the mistake... secondly, the spring constant can be derived in many ways but it is good if you use oscillation than using extension since the experiment is in that direction...the graph of T^2 against mass M will give you a straight line as well with an intercept, if the examiner will ask you for extension then you will be as to produce 2-meter rules but they mentioned one. Though everything is an assumption and it can be wrong or right...I never give you 100% assurance that the question is the real question... NB: is always good to show gratitude no matter what you have gained a little direction from the video at least appreciate and drop your contribution not contributing like you are challenging we are all human and I started all of that from the beginning of my lecture... All I said is for us to be better am not picking offense but we must learn to be grateful no matter what...
🎉 kudos sir. God bless you.please sir i used phone stopwatch to count with you but your values are not corresponding with mine. Is it not good to use phone stopwatch?
My counting is not well done but even if it does you can't have the same result as mine...except you are carrying it out over there...nothing is wrong in using stop watch on phone...
Hello sir I have been trying to join the channel but I'm unable to pay ans i have tried different cards but non of them worked, is there any other payment method i can go through to join the channel?
Thanks for all you do for us here. You are such a spectacular teacher. Pls sir, I need the questions for electricity and mechanics. I don't know your watsap number
Your this year lecture was not really cleared compared to the other year. Maybe cos you did it on paper. It was not really really good. Still the same. You are great and it's a nice video.
Your explanation will be cleared better on board than on paper sir
Thanks sir I really understand your explaination

Hooke's law experiment is less accurate
Hello tutor, could you please show us those calculations on a board. I hardly understand those solutions. Thank you.
I think we can as well get spring constant using the hookes equation F= ke
Yes, if you know the value of extension
Hooke's law's experiment is easier to perform but less accurate
Well done sir 🙏🙏🙏
Great video!

Great job Sir, please can we get the diagrams and the calculations for better understanding. Thank you.
You are doing well sir
Your explanation is clear sir💯💯
Is it the mass p and q we used to determine the mass of meter rule
Thank you so much sir. You are actually a teacher sir
Great stuff how did you determine the spring constant
Thank you very much
Great tutorial. Though audio quality is terrible, it can be better.
Please why are the vertical oscillations short instead of being long
Sir, can you do potentiometer
In this experiment, what are the vertical and horizontal components or axis we are to plot?
Well done 👍👍 Sir

Any tips for the advice for Ghana physics practical
Kudos to you sir.

Well-done Sir. But White board would have been used instead of white paper for better explanation and clarity
I hope this is what will come out
Thank you Sir
