    According to the theory of the experiment as the length of the cable decreases the balance point increases. Maybe you need to check your connection.

    Sir should we cut off the remaining part of the wire that's not needed after tying? I asked because I wonder if it would affect the results of the experiment also I'm not sure if we'd have enough wire on the D day

      Yes just measure 100cm and work with it.

      After measuring 80, 70 don’t cut it. It won’t affect the reading

    What is the Amp and ohm of the rheostat that should be used for the experiment sir?

      It was not specified by the exam body. But, I am suspecting that they may tell us to adjust the the rheostat to a certain value using ammeter. That is why they said and other necessary materials. That is my opinion

      You may not get exactly this one. But, just ask of a small wires. Red and black

      Yes. Just measure only 100cm and use it for the rest of the experiment

      Good one. Does the constantan wire on one metre bridge affect the determination of the balance point compared to another metre bridge. I purchased a new metre bridge for my school, its thickness of the constantan wire differs from the old metre bridge and their readings are so far apart.

      Yes because different wires have different resistance so different balance points

    Good job, but the values of LX are too high, I think they should not go beyond 47cm for any length of resistance wire

    Why aren't you using the wire on top of the metre rule on the metre bridge

      That wire is rusty. So the conductivity is poor

    my galvanometer deflects only in one direction on all position of the metre bridge

      It must not be this kind I am using. Any laboratory wire can do a good job.

    Video is good. But the rheostat has not been resolved, you only guessed a point on the rheostat to have a reading on the Galvanometer.

      You have to try again. Check if all your apparatus are working well. Or just adjust your rheostat. Or check if the rheostat is connected wwll

      Sunday your comment is unfair. I have reconsidered the experiment. The principle is well followed. Resistance is directly proportional to the length of the wire.
