    Thank you so much sir,I decided to plot my graph with the slope provided,m against d inverse,and i determine my reading different from urs,but at the end of all the calculations i got 21cm,urs was 20cm, don't know if am wrong or not

      The slope of the graph is moment and moment is a vector quantity

      When you divide your graph into 3 section it must cover 2 section out of the 3 that's what is meant by 2/3
