Nice review! How is the sitting comfort? When the leg cut is so far forward on the body, does it feel back-heavy, like you have to push down on it with your right arm? (think a heavier Les Paul).
Thanks! It doesn’t feel back heavy at all to me. It’s pretty well balanced. I can let go of it completely in the playing position (sitting on my right leg) and it doesn’t really move at all. This particular guitar is about 8.5 lbs. Hope that helps!
@@dmanguitar That sounds great! I really like the compactness (is that a word?) of the guitar. I guess that and the rather light weight helps with the comfort. I just saw the guitar in an online shop. There's no physical store around here where I can try it out, so your info is much appreciated! This one will be on my short list :) Cheers!
Nice playing and guitar but I wish they went with a different finished on the body. I think a satin or thinner finish would look alot better than the high gloss for the swamp ash.
They are two very different guitars. I guess I picked the PRS because I already have guitars that fill my LP needs. Having said that, those Epiphone 59’s seem pretty sick. I think they come kind of upgraded already too. (CTS pots, etc…) I don’t think you can go wrong with either. Just comes down to your preference.
Thank you for the nice clean examples!
Awesome tone! Beautiful git! Liked and Subbed
Nice review, especially your attention to clean tone variations. Thanks!
Nice review!.Just could not resist and ordered one (same colour). It will have ti go through import customs...so 15 days of biting my nails.😂

Hey man great video. Subbed. Keep it up! 😎🤙
Great demo video. Love the swamp ash special. Waiting for mine to come in. Just curious about the backing track you used.
Thanks! The jam track that I’m playing to was just something I made up. The other background music was from the UA-cam library. I think it’s by JHS.
@@dmanguitar do you by chance have that track available for a download?
@@chasbeck1No I don’t currently. Sorry. I may try to work on something like that in the future.
@@dmanguitar Thank you for your reply. What chord progression is the track?
@@chasbeck1 The clean part at the beginning just goes back and forth between Em and D. Then to C. The distorted part is D-Em-C.
Sweet looking for sure

I agree. I think more of an open grain finish would be really nice. Basically, what they did with the finish on the SE CE 24 Standard Satin.
That’s actually got nice tones. If it was you… this PRS or the Epiphone LP standard 59
