omgwhyamitalkinglikeacrackhead... now you know why I usually prepare before I turn on the camera lol. Basically all the PRS SE guitars are 15% off right now, so if anything catches your eye as a last-minute Holiday "treat yo-self" - Sweetwater (US) sweetwater.sjv.io/Kj94LA - Thomann (EU) thmn.to/thoprod/577937?offid=1&affid=203
PRS needs to make their models with hardtails or TOM. I hate the trems they use, but if they made a custom 22/24 with a hardtail? That shit would sell like hot cakes
Their trem is still better at staying in tune than Fender’s. I can dive bomb my SE Custom 24 and it stays in tune beautifully. Left for 2 weeks, come back and still in tune. So not sure what issues you’re referring to, as I can just simply look at my Les Paul (ABR1 bridge) and it’s out of tune.
@DavidPerry-ui2qz i agree they're better than others. I'm heavy-handed when I palm mute the low E makes this weird ass noise I can't describe. I hear it on every prs that has a trem. Even if it's blocked, it does it.
LOVE PRS! I got an S2 24-08 due to the addition of the core electronics. The pricetag was high (which sux now) but it has upped my play so much. It is worth every penny.
I have a PRS SVN, and I had a 277. Those have a Hipshot-style hardtail. This is 2024, soon to be 2025. Hipshot or Hipshot-style hardtail needs to be standard-issue across the board.
The 24-08 has TCI pickups (same ones as the SE Paul’s Guitar) instead of the 85/15s, they do sound different. When their USA Reverb shop opened I picked up the Harley Benton CST-24 P90 (because PRS SE hasn’t made a Soapbar model in years) and then first mod was putting on a spare set of black speed knobs because the metal dome knobs looked wrong.)
The PRS SEs look awesome! My Custom 24-08 SE from a couple years ago came in an outrageously good looking translucent dark blue gloss finish with TCI pickups. It plays great and made me want to grab one of the PRS CEs once some new colors came out. I actually prefer the CE SE heal joint to the one on the U.S. models with its more ergonomic carve. Epiphone has once again not missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity by upping the price on the Prophecy line, removing all the good color options, and then de-featuring them with cheaper satin finishes that don’t look as premium-smh🤦♂️
There's no reason why a veneer top can't have the same depth, movement and chatoyance as a drop top. It's an effect created at the surface, so the physical depth of the top makes no difference above a few microns. In fact, you're more likely to get crazy holographic movement on a veneer because the sawmill can cut so many more from a top grade tree. Awesome veneers have been a staple of awesome furniture for centuries; for some reason we look down on veneers on solid body guitars. EDIT: Practical considerations aside, obvs. Flat tops are far easier to veneer.
I'd love to get one of the SE Floyds, but it's hard to justify one of those over a Wolfgang standard which is half the price and has some of the best pickups ever made
You said PRS-y, as if to say PRS-esque, or, in the style of PRS. Unfortunately, for me an anyone who reads this comment, what I heard was PRuSsy, and I simply could not suffer alone.
as a raiders fan I don't know why sometimes...😢 that prs satin silver for 499 is awesome lookin I bought the sand blasted white and black and it plays great... love to have that one as well same guitar differentcolors
Idk but coincidentally i just backordered an epiphone les paul. Its on sale so locked in that sale price but it'll be over a month. GC only has 1 but it's a floor model.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
I don't know if any manufacturer can rival PRS when it comes to gorgeous guitars with an import price tag. And when the quality is that high as well, win win.
You need to take a look at Dean Zelinsky guitars, he's the founding luthier of Dean guitars he's direct to consumer now making some really sick stuff with a reasonable price tag, not sponsored just a fan lol
I have a Prs se Hollowbody 2 with the Piezo and it is a chunky beast that is prob one of the most comfortable guitars to play but definitely not worth the msrp price…def try to look for one on the used market (like me)
grabbing a charcoal cherry burst se custom 24-08 asap... been eyeing it for months now and not even $900?! id rather have the mini toggles than a push pull... i have a push pull for my coil split invader on my epiphone SG so... this will be a cool change.. I disagree about it not fitting with the vibe.. it looks amazing on the charcoal cherry burst with the mini toggles. I like the blood orange one too!
Im really smitten with my sandblasted ce24 (red) but that new ice blue version has my attention. And im thinking about trading my 594 in for a new nf3.
congrats on finally getting your pastel colored signature Harley Benton single cut released. You should have started by releasing that guitar first and not that awful fake wood grain one. You should do a video on it.
I don't think PRS is putting their lines on sale because they want to burn through the old stock at all. They did this last year too. I think PRS knows when to time deals like this so people buy guitars for Christmas.
PRS needs to offer better pickups for SE line. I agree that some of them are below $600 and can do with the factory pickups but the ones that are near $1000, C'mon. Getting a new pickup is another $100 and a set is $200 so we need to add that to the SE's price. And around that price, Indonesian made LTDs, Schecters and Jacksons all offer better value. We are no longer in the era where SEs could be considered cheap. They are the only affordable model that PRS put out and the pickups are sh**. The American made guitars are almost unaffordable now.
I’m sorry but to me the SE series is over rated for a couple of reasons. IMO, the S pickups suck for the most part and the tuners are crap. I can understand it on a $500 guitar but not a $1K guitar. There are other budget boutique company’s that make guitars with great sounding pickups. I have owned 5 SE models thinking they would get better but either sold or returned all but 1 and that is the Swamp Ash Special. I just recently purchased an SE McCarty 594 and it was terrible. The fret work was horrendous. I’ve played $399 Epiphones that were better. That guitar went back after a couple of weeks. The guitar itself was beautiful but I refuse to pay my guy to fix frets on a brand new guitar. I’ve bought 4 Michael Kelly’s that have blown the SE’s away. Everyone wants to rave about the SE line but just brush over the fact the S pickups sound dead and the tuners feel like something off a toy guitar. I know these are my opinions but that’s what all the videos are about, opinions.
Wow I can’t believe the disrespect you are piling on President Donald Trump. He makes sure every one of those guitars is setup to quality himself and made even better than a Gibson! I guarantee it; MAGA = make awesome guitars again!!!!
My first two guitars were SE's but I hardly ever pick them up now as they leave me cold compared to my American Strat and Gibsons - strange because they are very nicely made guitars but somehow just a bit souless
"the mini-toggles make it look cheap DYI"...... well, theres only really one size/look/shape for mini toggles, reason why the Core lines have them exactly the same too. Big toggles will make it un-practical and "too much", the mini switches makes it more discrete. That is how the Core line decided to tackle the individual coil tap, and thats the reason why the SE line does it too, to replicate the core line, so I dont get why they look bad in your eyes and "not intentional"..... Yes, the Core line have recessed holes for it, because the Core line has a full rounded carved top, so there is no other way to put knobs and switches as there is no flat surface for these to be able to have a tread nut to screw into it, so they need to carve a cavity out of the top to create a flat surface area for these.... the why the SE line doesnt have it?, because they body shape is more "flat" on the top carve of the guitar, so there is no need for it as the top itself is already flat enough for them. Plus having a veneer it will mean they will have to cut a round hole around the mini switches and knobs divet, which then will ruiin the overall look of the guitar and make it more "cheap" finished having a break in the top The way you describing it, make it seem like its a bad feature of the guitar, when in fact is the most authentic way to replicate their Core models
i think they look sick and cannot wait to get my charcoal cherry burst.. been looking hard to find the right one bc some look really bad. I like the ones that look more white than gray because red and white are my Sooners colors lol
Sure. But when the COA they provide each guitar with says "each instrument is masterfully crafted to the highest standards to ensure unparalleled sound, maximum playability and exquisite beauty" it becomes fair game to discuss the quality of them.

And also with locking tuners

I hate when people tell my to deck my strats, i really want more hardtail strats.
But I love my blocked prs bridge. Feels great when palm muting

My PRS is a Mark Holcomb 7s and the fixed bridge is why I picked it up 😋
@ thats the nuts fault

LOVE PRS! I got an S2 24-08 due to the addition of the core electronics. The pricetag was high (which sux now) but it has upped my play so much. It is worth every penny.
I bought a Gibson les Paul studio and feel basically the same way. If you can afford it and it makes you play more then go for it is my advice lol
@ Yeah. I LOVE my 24-08!!
Great vid! Love the off the cuff long form. Also, the chugs on the cool swears is still (chug) funny!
Literally just got my new Prophecy SG!!! It’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!!
I need more Schechter updates! The value is crazy lately
The SEs need to come with the prs se locking tuners. They are fantastic.
I really wish the cherry charcoal burst on the 24-08 quilt always looked like the one on the PRS website… all the ones online are just weird tbh.
I have gone onto Sweetwater and I look at the different tops... what the hell it is like expectation Amazon, but Temu results!

What's the tonal difference between 85/15 s and TCI s?
i just wish the locking tuners came standard on the higher end se models 800 to 900 range should come with it.
What’s your thoughts on the new Bang Dream Ave Mujica Schecter guitars?
@18:59 the TWSmith custom on the far right is actually mine, i literally had to do a double take but it's sitting in my bedroom as i watch this lmao
That’s a sick guitar! Love the pale moon ebony fretboard and that really cool stained top
PRS did drop the 2024 semi hollow earlier this year, but if you’re interested in the piezo thing, you should be able to get the hollow for
Who's going to tell Hunter the stars and bars, even in Evel Knievel form, is literally the opposite of "proudly American"?
Love my SE Tremonti with upgraded pickups. One of my favorite guitars.

And here I am with impulse buy of ESP E2 sws(left to eat dust from the walls till next month 😅, worth it)
Love to get a PRS SE model in the future. Deciding on the Mc Carty 594 LP body style or the 24-08... Do you have any opinions???
It’s Hunter, I can probably guarantee he would recommend the single cut lol
@MilesOlsenMusic for which one?
whoa hey hi
I have a DGT Core Wood Library - Beautiful looking, fantastic feel, ebony board, great pickups, best PRS imho
Id love a lefty S2. And the prophecy is cool. But the SG is quite heavy. Which beats the point of getting an SG.
Actually most of the Slash last record was done on 1963 335 and thats why gibson made it. He was using reissue on tour a lot
MORE "Lefty SE Models" PLEASE for 2025!!!
You said PRS-y, as if to say PRS-esque, or, in the style of PRS. Unfortunately, for me an anyone who reads this comment, what I heard was PRuSsy, and I simply could not suffer alone.
The PRS Dragon has many editions. Look into it. Very rare guitars
as a raiders fan I don't know why sometimes...😢 that prs satin silver for 499 is awesome lookin I bought the sand blasted white and black and it plays great... love to have that one as well same guitar differentcolors

Still waiting for the PRS SE Vela

I respect PRS as a brand and the aesthetics and innovations. BUT JESUS CHRIST I HATE THEIR PICKUPS
A couple guys got their trump guitars in, and uploaded their unboxings.
Yeah. Cheap overseas junk. No surprise lol.
The new prophecy line sucks. The 2nd generation was absolutely mind blowing. What a sad sick downturn the newest two generations are.
The tops on the charcoal are booty butt compared to their site. It's so misleading
"What do you think of the new PRS lineup?".
The same thing I thought about the previous ones. I don't.

First
Prs guitars are so damn boring looking and the pickups are Meh sounding
No Singlecuts. Cool, I'm out.
Correct answer 🤘
The Trump guitars aren't really for players....
True. People who are smart enough to play guitar wouldn't buy something like that.
Sure.
But when the COA they provide each guitar with says "each instrument is masterfully crafted to the highest standards to ensure unparalleled sound, maximum playability and exquisite beauty" it becomes fair game to discuss the quality of them.
You rattle and talk way to much... your all over the place in descriptions etc.
Chill the heck out goovester.
