It was epic in Buffalo.

Everyone should go to an Iron Maiden Concert at least once. It's a life changing event. I seen them in Manchester; best night ever.

Bruce Dickinson, the 'youngster' of the group turned 61 this last August and from videos I've seen of the current tour is still jumping around the stage like a 20 year old. Still an unbelievable live band.
That was the song I introduced Iron Maiden to me 5 year-old son... and everytime he listens to it he sings along to the guitars...Then I took him to see them live last month in Porto Alegre (Brazil)... by the time we got to the Arena, he was unbelievably struck, so amazed by the crowd and I was so proud of seeing him enjoying it all! He waited so eagerly for this song to be played but ended up sleeping in my husband’s arms two songs before they performed it... once we got home he sadly said “They didn’t play the song, mon!” that was lovely anyways 😍😍😍
Luckly we video recorded him sleeping while they were playing it and he was able to watch it the next day... He loved it!!!
This was the song that made me fall in love with Iron Maiden.

Fear of the Dark is one of the best songs. Always fantastic to hear it at concerts for the Atmosphere it causes. At Download Festival 2007 was truly brilliant. (Also not to forget when seen at Birmingham NEC and NIA twice for the latter)
Rock in Rio aired on Much More Music here in Canada in 2002. It turned me into an Iron Maiden fan ever since
I was at this show. 2001. Only time I've seen them out of the US. ✌
saw it twice, august 2000. Mansfield Mass and Portland Maine.... my favorite setlist of all their concerts.... have seen every one with Bruce live at least once
@@WrathchildNH did you go to thia years tour? I did a double Sept. Friday the 13th in Las Vegas and then again on the 14th in Los Angeles. Man they still don't disappoint. ✌
yeah I made the 5 hour drive up to Montreal for the show at the Bell Center again, every show since 2010 I think.... I hate going to NYC so Quebec and Montreal are the options.... great show as always... except someone stole my concert shirt off my chair at a strip club after the show...

I was at this show too. I am brazilian, but live just a couple km north of Porto Alegre...
Went by BUS to Rio... 1200km, about 24 hours. Only metalheads on the bus. 24 hours listening to loud metal, almost impossible to sleep lol.
then I got lost in Rio, without money to reach even the airport by bus!! LMAO (i had left all my money, cell phone, etc, inside the bus, while on the show)

The documentary they did with this concert video, they said they were terrified playing to 250,000 people at one gig. They got up there and killed it

You were showing Jannick Geers(?!) slingshoting the guitar around the neck. First time i saw it was Yngwie Malmsteen Live from Leningrad '89. Nowadays you see them more in fail-videos where somebody tries to do the same With a bad strap and you just see it propel over his shoulder and behind the stage ;)
A couple of weeks ago it finally happened to Jan, he was swinging his guitar around by the strap during the end of Iron Maiden, and it came loose and went flying into the crowd. There’s videos of it.

I was there. Rio isn't a very Rock'n'roll city, but it seems most of those 250,000 people were from all over Brazil, most probably traveled at least a few hours by bus or car, singing quite well considering how far Portuguese is from English. I don't think the last musicians on the other days kept those 250,000 up until 3am if I remember correctly, glued to the main stage, singing, clapping, jumping, etc. after some insanely hot and dry days (2001 was the 2nd year or so of a big drought it seems so no clouds to or rain to diminish the scorching sun).
Not sure RiR is still worthy, as it seems to have degraded even more into POP things, besides violence worsening a lot after 2002! Hopefully, things get better there!

Fear of the dark was the first Maiden single i bought, a limited edition picture disc, and i still have it!
