Can you use it without the display? I have a piece of land without electricity, and I can't connect the display. I don't know if it can still gather weather information?
How long have you had your weather station in operation? We currently have an AcuRite station which was an upgrade to our original AcuRite but not pleased as much as the original. Does your station have an option for a remote power source to the sensor?
We have had this in operation for about a week and so far so good. The manufacturer’s instructions states that “the battery life of the outdoor weather sensor lasts about 2 years. And will run even longer with the built in solar panel.” There is a panel on the unit but it does need 3 AAs as well. We will see how long the batteries last.
Wonder how good they will handle the hail in the Midwest.

I believe it needs to be hooked up to the display to gather information.

You just have to put the numbers in without the negative and then select west that makes it negative. Hope it helps
