8:53 NOT all weather icons are displayed. You will never see windy, thunderstorms, rain (without sun in between). The forecast comes from Openweather, the worst provider I have ever seen. Visibility only goes up to 10km. Otherwise the station is very good. You can also add air quality and lightning sensors to the station. The lightning sensor detected over 280 lightning strikes during a strong thunderstorm called MCS
Watched this as my Climemet 2000 has died. Will get this station to replace it. Is it me, or all us HAMs also weather geeks? Thanks for the video. 73 de M7LGC.
@@PeterHomer-nn1ouSure? In the manual it says:"4.3.12 AIR QUALITY Air quality section shows the visibility distance according to the device location input in PWL. If you have optional PM2.5/10 sensor(s), you can also view the corresponding data in this section."
Dear Peter. Thank you for your video very clear and useful. I might have missed it in your presentation, but do you know how many days of data the equipment can store in the internal memory (or external cloud) and what is the possibility to download raw data on a computer and the related time frequency for downloading the data? Thank you for your answer
Thanks for your video. It helped me choose this particular weather station. I've had a Davis before. I have now set up this new weather station. but it shows completely wrong wind direction. I thought somewhere I could choose whether the sensor was facing north or south. but now I can't find that place to see if I've chosen the wrong direction. Can you remember where it is and explain how I get there. Hope you understand my text, I use google. Greetings Esben, from Denmark
Hello Esben. It did take me a few minutes searching through the manual, but found the information on page 33. section 6.3. You will find it in the settings setup at the very bottom. You'll see outdoor sensor direction. I hope this helps and thank you for watching the video.
Thank you Mr Homer ! (l’m french, sorry for the mistakes) Do you think that the height of the station can prevent the connection with my WIFI? Because my station is connected to my console, but my console can't connect to my WIFI, and have no idea where the problem is. If you (or anybody else) have an idea, it is welcome.
@peterhomer How is your weather station now? My PWS has a sensor issue not recording temperature. I saw this video and was quite impressed what you get and a 5 year warranty. Is this unit still performing well?
Yes, I am very pleased with the performance of this weather station. I have had a few in the past and I must admit this is one of the best that I have had and used. It is performing faultlessly. I did buy there lightning detector as an add on and found this to be very disappointing. As regards to the weather station 100 percent love it and I would recommend it. Thanks for watching.
@@PeterHomer-nn1ou This is very encouraging. I was thinking of a Davis unit but I'm not too keen to spend so much. I've had a cheap unit before which actually lasted a couple of years, so if this unit has a 5 year warranty maybe I should go for this. Can any other sensors be added?
@@PeterHomer-nn1ou I've followed the link to Bresser. Can I ask the price of the unit you got? I've seen another thats similar, a 4 day not a 6 day. The Bresser range all look similar but the prices vary quite a bit from £150ish up to £450 so I'm not too sure which is which!!

well some sensor might get fried under the sun... i lost OUTSIDE TEMP and i got reply from Bresser which they would send me a REPLACEMENT under the 5 years warranty... so i'm waiting now!!!

when I connect my laptop to the bresser console wifi PWS-E68518, I loose connection and I can not go ahead to install the weather station. what do you advise?
You should have the sensor near the laptop and the monitor... only after the wifi setup you should place the sensor on the proper location (nevertheless you should test the new location as wifi friendly...)
Great video, very clear useful explanations. Bresser should thank you for this :)
We greatly appreciate it. The Bresser Team.
Great review!!! the Bresser is the best... with 5 years warranty that come to handy if one of the sensor come to be fried by the sun...
Thank you! Very clear explanation.

Hello, can you tell me the diameter of the tube where you place the external sensors, perhaps it is 5 cm in diameter?
Minute 10:44 thanks
Hi. The tube that I used is 1 1/2 inch (38mm) in diameter
Do you need an extra sensor to display air quality data?
No it is all built in to the main unit outside.
