People nowadays use terms like Psychedelic, Trip and Nirvana; but I am afraid if they even know what's the real meaning of them. Michael Cretu most of the songs take you to different dimensions of emotions. The Aesthetics in his song and videos are at level par from what people can achieve today. There is little bit of love, happiness, sadness, spirituality, God, Satan, hope, jealousy, mystery and fear of unknown, in his songs, all perfectly balanced. Listening to his songs only makes me to devour and experience more of emotions.

I think there is a very deep William Blake influence to this song. First off, we have the overall sensual tone of the song which can be attributed to an unabashed attitude about affection and intimacy. Between those two there is a relation of vulnerability which is exemplified by 'the experience of survival' - to love and let love in, you have to take a chance, a risk and place yourself in a plate for your lover to metaphorically prey on you. Thus, the 'gravity' of love, as in solemn 'gravitas' means, I think, that to love properly, you must be vulnerable. The excess that leads to wisdom reminds me of 'A Marriage of Heaven and Hell' written by William Blake where the verse 'those who repress desire do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained' features somewhat in this song. Considering that Enigma looks into the meaning and context of the texts and music they draw inspiration from (If they did from Blake in this case), the excess does not refer to taking obscene liberties or hedonism, but rather a feeding of the spirit, which safe to say, is sexual, though not vulgar and devoid of commitment. The religious imagery in the musical video also do kind of drive my interpretation on, the yoking together of the dark and the light serves to undo or blur the distinctions and make indeed 'a marriage of Heaven and Hell' with a lot of delightful fucking across the ages.

I was 9 years when I listened this, now 19 years old. Still has the same effect on me. But the video, is totally a different thing. I can't understand it, I mean their real purpose. Is a video with many questions marks, deeply thinking. No just the song but the video it's self is another issue. This is what makes them great.
Enigma made some absolutely beautiful music, i cant think of anything like their music, samples from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. The beat in the song originally came from Led Zeppelin's rendition of "When the Levee Breaks", which was also used in the song "Return to Innocence". to integrate music from opera and then rock into a piece of music just blows my mind, absolute genius
After literally 12 years I have found this song... I listened to it in 2009 when I was 6 or 7 years, in a Shadow of the Colossus AMV (that AMV was deleted many years ago so y'know... the music was only in my memory) From that time, 2009, this song was stuck on my head, always trying to find it, and I finally did it, 29/10/2021, after 12 years... I thought I'd die first before finding it, but here I am :') Now, I can die in peace, for real... if I die tomorrow, I'll be satisfied that I finally found this... my longest search and journey became to an end.
