Helllooo everybody and come along for the ride as I take on the task of rebuilding the Colorado Rockies here on MLB The Show 24.
In this episode, we'll dive into some full game action in the Game of the Week as our NL West-leading Colorado Rockies visit the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Peter Lambert takes the bump for Colorado as he's desperate for a good start to keep him afloat in the Rockies rotation. On the other side, Jose Urquidy needs a good start as he's struggled mightily during his second season in Atlanta.
The Rockies start the game with a boom as Brendan Rodgers hits a leadoff homerun. Pete Alonso and Nolan Jones would join him with solo shots of their own as Colorado went yard three times in the 1st inning. Atlanta would soon respond as Matt Olson would answer with a three-run blast of his own.
In a matchup that proved to live up to the Game of the Week tag, which side would pull away in this exciting affair between two of the top teams in the National League?
In the next episode, we'll simulate through the rest of June and into July as we set up the succeeding episode which will be the 2026 MLB Draft. We'll discuss the Year 3 Draft strategy, review some prospects that we're targeting, and set the stage for what to expect.
