I love the combo of Wheelock 7002s, a 7002T, and a 34T with mostly Autocall 4050-001Ts. The Simplex 2903 led plate looks cool too.

Imagine accidentally leaving it in continuous mode. Then the next morning you accidentally burn your toast, setting the alarm off and BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
and thats why there is no smoke detectors in the kitchen on this system.

The way the horn a stobe are wired causes horn skipping.

Why you only have 2 detectors in the basement and not through out the house
That would require a lot of extra wiring, and my system just isn't optimized for that yet. Despite being 23 videos into this series, I don't really consider the system "finished", there's still a lot of work to do.

These are cool but LOUD alarms. I’ve seen these in a few office buildings in my area that have 7002T’s and ESL dual action pull stations and even one with a 7002 relabeled as Spectronics in the P2 parking floor enclosed elevator lobby that’s on an old 1980’s Gamewell conventional system and has those old gamewell pull stations that are silver and not red.

The wheelock alarms are weird. Especially the horns. When the horns sound, the strobe messes it up.
To fix the problem of your neighbours hating you, Why not just put tape over the sound/horn grill’s xD
This is why I STAY AWAY FROM THEM

11:35 either the horn is cracked, so that’s what’s making the noise, or it somehow set the volume its self to 10%
It’s either the screws on the back being in the wrong adjustment which makes that noise, or the horn parts making the sound are busted

FrostedStrobes I wonder if you can reposition the wires to the 7002 strobes to where they don't result in the stutter? I've heard that they stutter every time it flashes because the strobe just yanks the current "away" from the horn. Could you either just move it to its own terminals, or put the strobe on the non-silencable stobe NAC to get rid of this stuttering? Just an idea. Also, 9:25, I can see that screw stripping out!
I am not at all qualified to make this assumption, *but* I *think* the strobe is also wired to the transformer on the back, they can't be separated.

I believe wheelock made a variant that has them separated, but it's very rare.

I also saw in one of NewAgeServerAlarm's (RIP) videos he had a 7002 or something with a bulb instead of a strobe, I wonder if that's another rare variant or if that's a custom modification. You know, I wonder why Cooper Wheelock ever even let something with a sound issue like that get released. Any other alarm stuttered like that and it'd be considered a defect lmao
SYGMAH custom mod because wheelock never had incandescent lights in the strobes like that, it would most likely be a dual bulb possibly from a 2903-9006 or some other alarm that had a dual bulb, had wheelock done that, then i wouldnt know if many would be sold as again, non ada strobes are considered "not up to code" already, and even though simplex made this same design, it had more transparency ( i think) to the lens, where as the 7002/T series had a visibly less transparent lens (again, probably not correct), that is, as far as i know right now

I have have a Gamewell 70401 and it looks identical to that Honeywell. Apparently there were a few different names that design was sold under as well as some different design revisions and variations.
Yup, "Rebranding" is indeed a very prevalent thing in the fire alarm world. It's pretty interesting, like the Faraday 6120 being the same horn as the 9838 and such.
Fun fact: I had a school that had only 7001Ts and 34Ts, the 7001Ts that were rebranded by “Spectronics” (the two ceiling-mounted ones being rebranded by Gamewell), and the 34Ts being rebranded by Honeywell
Hi,I would like to know how did you replace the light plate's bulb to a LED bulb
It was first a strobe plate, so I took that out (that's the strobe that is now in the 2904 I think), and then I put an E10 light base inside the light plate (other bases might work better since the E10 isn't too common). Since E10 is universal, I can put all sorts of different types and colors of lights in it.

How do you replace the incandescent bulb in the light plate with an LED?
All of the 2903 plates that have been in my videos started out as strobe plates, but I removed the strobe and installed a 24v incandescent light on an E10 base. Really, all it took at that point was finding an LED E10 light.

I have a Simplex vibratone type horn that's like this. In most cases, they either have the sound plate get deformed, or the striker arm gets worn out. That's the one issue I have with older horns: moving parts.
