Hallo liebe Julian!
I think you're doing an awesome job Julianne! I am finishing up my A1 course and starting A2 in the new year, and I am still struggling through Nominative, Accusative, and Dative. (Love your tea cup by the way!)
Please, feel never be embarrassed because of learning something new. We all started one day at the same point. The people with the same opportunities that don't like to use them. Maybe, they should feel embarrassed. Music is by the way a good opportunity to learn something new like a language. The German Christmas songs for example. The are not so hard to learn and a good opportunity to improve your skills and get comfortable with. Important is the opportunity to speak it, speak whenever it's possible for you, and sometimes you have to force yourself to do it, getting out of the comfort zone is important. Nobody is perfect and some things need their times. And sometimes before it's getting better and can be a little bit more worst. But don't put to much pressure on your shoulders. What you are about to do is fantastic, really cool and that should also be in your mind. Wonderful video.
If/when you are in Germany make sure to always claim you don't speak english :-) ...or at least you don't want to speak english. Listen to german talk radio. A german news channel will repeat itself every 30 minutes.
I have been learning since 2021 German. I love german. Last month I made it and im certificated B2 Spracher. But i can't talk fluently... I mean I'm not ready... It was really helpful your advice "its a marathon... etc" oof...
Embarrassing yourself: Never even think about that! Just talk and do not mind any errors. Hopefully you will have people that correct you, when it gets to bad. But everything you do not say does not lead you towards your goal. I once had a boss who talked a terrible English but he was a very good salesman and always tried to talk customers into buying. And he was successful! I just have been working with a physio therapist from Belgium. Her mother tongue was French. I asked and she told me she would appreciate being corrected. And with every correction she tried to include it in one of the next sentences. Same method I used when learning English. BTW: When I tried to learn French I was also disappointed about my knowledge after 18 months. But I was not surprised. Just remember how long a kid needs to learn its mother tongue and a decent vocabulary. And even then it will only know some of the muscles you are studying now!
In German Foundations Laura takes all the guesswork out of Noun Gender, Declensions and Plurals. I am not connected to her in any way other than being a very grateful student.😀
Go outside and speak German by the Bakery, the Butcher, teh Gracery Strore in the Cafee and with freinds. Sitting into your room and look into Books is not your Way. The last three years where did you learn German?
Hi Julianne, these aubildung vids you make are very helpful! Danke schön!
Thank you!!

That’s so cool! I’m now studying German to make my career valid there and work as a doctor. Similar path, good job!🎉

Thanks! I still struggle with that grammar, but it slowly gets easier ☺️ good luck with A2!
I'm starting A2 too in January
Even germans struggle with the cases. Especially the genitiv, which is going to extinct.

That method works for children because they are neuroplastic. She's not a child.
