I was at this concert. Fresh from seeing wings and Frampton at wembley empire pool and Freddie with queen free at Hyde park. I was a rookie in London but having a great time!!!
I like that the concerts back then didn't have to have 10 million backup dancers and flashing lights and all kinds of distracting things. Just your singer his band and that great voice. I miss it.
This isn't the full concert, this is just what was shown on TV, I was at the concert which ended up with Rod in his classic 'leopard skin look' kicking footballs into the crowd and spraying champagne around!
What a great concert vintage rod ,saw him on the worth leaving home for tour many years ago ,he kicked soccer balls into the audience all night, a true performer, and what a great band !!!
Sometimes you forget how heavy the talent in Rod's 70s band was. Jim Cergan, Gary Grainger, and Billy Peek all have some great guitar chops, the sax is screaming, and the rhythm section is pile driving
New music and old music... timeless anything musical you grow up with and progress with is a treasure with the talent all musicians give us to re leave us with our stress in our daily lives
fantastic band and Rod is the inspirational performer front man, gets the band rocking due to his excessive vocal drive, luckily for cocaine abuse as well, but Rod never forgot his roots...!!!
I love his music! And I think his dodgy loud outfits and all the make-up is deadly! It made him who he was! It was a great image, certainly unique! He wasn't one bit shy anyway, beaming with confidence! Fair play to ya Rod, good on ya man. Great concert! Keep on rockin' bro! From Davey (Ireland)
This was one of the best backing bands Rod ever had. That version of I Know I'm Losing You is ruddy epic
Top notch. Before Rod went downhill with disco yawn
I remember watching this live on BBC 2 just before Xmas 1976. Only seems like yesterday.
Carmine Appice on drums, omg he is killing it

Remember Rock n Roll? Living in a post-Rock world is driving me crazy. Thankfully we have Rod n Co on youtube, a real shot in the arm.
I saw them in Birmingham on this tour.

He's an amazing performer and has a brilliant voice. I had him on my bucket list and saw him last March, absolutely the best show I've EVER seen.
Best classic concert
