Saw him in 1970. You could tell he was going to be a big star. He had that (and still has) charisma. You couldn't take your eyes off of him.

Rod is one of the best ever, so much emotion and truth in his music , he’s 77 years young and still performing to sold out crowds, enough said .
His concerts now aren't much, he sits down through most of it let's the crowd sing alot and the backup singers. I've seen him 3 times once in the 70's and twice in the 80's and he was awsome back then.
Every time Rod has done a show here in LA, at the Hollywood Bowl I go to it, I've been listening to him since the 60s. I personally met Rod, and I can tell you he is genuine. Not stuck up. No Hi ego, he's just Rod, His daughter Ruby helps him a lot on Tours. And he takes the time to listen when you meet him.
One of the most valuable artists that ever walked the earth. I have always loved his music.

There is nothing to say. You recognisable raspy voice, you lifted up my spirits when I was feeling a bit down with your incredible song. You sang to me back in mid 80s' in Toronto. You hand signaled to me to stand where I was a the wing of the stage. Something I will never forget and bagpipe players marching up and down the sides of the stadiun.

Rod begins to show all that he knew❤ his confidence as he was constantly evolving and changing, thus pushing himself to as high as his talent would take him 🎉It was at this point that Rod knew he was heading towards real fame😮 I don't think he kbew how becoming famous waa going ro change his personal life forever. He was in the prison with the in visible bars all around himr. He pursued a dream but I don't Irhink he realized what that word famous Was going to have such a major impact on his personal life. Today Rod can't go anywhere without paparazzi being there.

When I was a high School kid, people used to say I looked a lot like Rod. I viewed it as a raz, but there was a group of guys from another area of my town who just kept carrying it too far and, after a year or so I got in my first fight about it. then do Ya Think I'm Sexy came out and things went downhill...more fights,suspensions for an 'A' student...AHH those were the Days.... Oh I sang & played guitar as well....All True.

Oh I thought Rod Stewart was the best thing ever when I was a young girl. His music can still take me back to that time when I felt young and free and full of life. I never got to go to a concert of his. One of the biggest disappointments in my life. I did think he was one of the sexiest things alive. I bet they were even guys that thought he was sexy in an odd kind of way. Love you Rod Stewart I hope you and family are well and happy.

I used to love him in the 70 and 80 I saved all my money for 8 months just to go see him i sun city live I iced show an he next day I saw walking around late at night I su city and ran back to my hotel room to get his album to sign and ran up to him for his autograph and to my surprise he was so rude and looked at me like I was nothing and without saying a thing scribbled his name and shoved the album back to me, since that day I never liked him and never Will I had sacrificed so much just to get to see him and that was that, he's an old man now I ten years younger than him but I've changed, he's had that same hairstyle for fifty years😜

Guy was never the same after the faces, the music was never the same, and its a real tragedy that one mans ego broke up one of the greatest bands ive ever heard, Ronnie lanes faces.
Rubbish, he gets better and better. He could sing the yellow pages and make it sound fantastic
Back in the day, just for a short period in Rock n' Roll history The FACES were untouchable the greatest live.. Rock and Blues band in the world....nobody including the Stones got close ( Stewart could sing the pants off Jagger) and the FACES had what others didn't, a big sense of fun and humility ...they always looked like they were enjoying themselves....oh, and they liked a drink or three!. Loved 'em then and still do.
As for blaming Stewart for the Bands demise, yes he played his part, but he wasn't the only reason, the start of the end for me was Ronnie Lanes exit, and then Ronnie Wood playing with the Stones after Mick Taylor left.
Stewart for me swopped music integrity for pop and glitter and finished up in cabaret.
Old FACES fans like me often ponder as to what might have been had the band stayed together....but it wasn't to be. Thankfully we still have PAUL RODGERS out there, still cutting it.
