The professionals use subwoofers to mix the low end in their music, but should every music producer get a subwoofer for their home studio? Or are subwoofers completely unnecessary? We are using the Kali Audio WS-6.2 Dual 6.5-inch Powered Subwoofer in this video.

The magic in mixing is in the mid range…. The truth is you can’t mix what you can’t hear. So you need to hear the low end especially if you are doing club music. I would suggest mixing low end last. Again, mixing the magic is in the mid range, so worry about that first. You need a proper treated room because the reflections in your room will affect how you are hearing the low end, so adding a correction for your speakers is important for a poorly treated room.
Exhausting presentation. Too loud, too fast, too hectic, too much…. Just my opinion.
