    Very very cool! Good to know! I have a 2.9 whipple non crusher. Not sure the version, but this is great to see that there’s more power to be made out of the newer technology w less displacement

      That 2.9 crusher was so impressive when it came out the thought of a gen 5 3.0 making more power at the time probably sounded like a fairytale. That's exactly what the guys at whipple are capable of

    Gen3r can make similar power and more torque and more average power with even less displacement at only 2.65. Its amazing what theyre doing over there at vmp (sorry whipple)
    Lol.
    But on a serious note the blowers have def came a long ways. No need for those huge oversized crank snout killers anymore lol.

    I assume head studs. Did you do anything fancy with you head gaskets? O-ring, copper? What cams if you don’t mind me asking?

    Impressive, just about finished with my Gen 5 3.0 install on my 03 Cobra. But in all fairness I think the 3.4 should have been a Crusher for a true comparison. That standard inlet chokes the life out of the 3.4, honestly should have never been an option for it lol. Still might have been beat by the 3.0 but I feel it would have been much closer. Great vid nonetheless.

    That 3.4 is making it's rounds! I got it from you, ran it for a bit and then switched to a 3.0. The guy I sold it to hasn't even installed it and he's already wanting to sell it for a 3.0 lol. Poor 3.4... haha

    So is the crusher throttle body bigger than say an accufab throttle body and inlet. What is considered "standard inlet". Just anything none crusher?

      precisely my friend. If you don't have to remove your TPS to change a spark plug you do not have a crusher inlet lol

    I just bought a 2.9 gen 3 crusher brand new hoping to make good power with it what do you recommend to run for the TB ? It came with the one from whipple but just wondering if it’s a good TB

      The TB from whipple is the best option on the market by far. A good rule of thumb is nobody can craft a better mating piece to any product than the original manufacturer, if that manufacturer is decent

      @@vertminator6267 People were having all sorts of idle issues with the 150mm Whipple throttle body. Mine wouldn't idle under 1400 rpm with the blade buried full shut! A 132mm fixed the idle issue for me.

    What was the boost level of the 3.4? Mines got a stock lower and 3.5 upper and I made 700 on 17lbs with 2.5 inch exhaust. Put 3 inch on it and made roughly 50 hp more on 93/110 mix. Stock motor no head studs or anything. I’ve been debating on doing the gen5 swap. This was just the video I was looking for to probably push me over the edge to do it lol

      My 3.4 was making 25 psi during this video as is the 3.0. Those are unreal numbers! have you taken it to the track yet?

      @@vertminator6267 yeah we go a good bit. It’s got a strange cut out between shifts where it wants to die out but it’s only went 10.6 at 133. Only seems to do it at the track tho it’s strange

    I have an 03 Cobra with 90K. Just got the 3.0L Whipple on. I have no fuel system, but I do have 60 LB injectors and a BAP. Exhaust as well. What kind of number should I expect? I just want a safe tune.

      Stock fuel system and 60lbs injectors, and stock MAF? If you hit 600rwhp shit will break. You need a return style fuel system and a bigger MAF. That is the minimum. Do that and you’re at mid 600s add long tubes and gain 20rwhp and drop 2lbs of boost. Full bolt on no cams, 20lbs of boost and you’re getting close to 700rwhp on pump gas.

    thats pretty sweet. and its a vert . Im running a gen1 tvs that ca sqeak out a 10 but its not a serious racer. i am looking for a Gen4 standard inlet to switch too give my cobra some more go
