The trim looks so great! You totally rock! To think you started these renovations having zero tools and no experience. You’re an inspiration that you can do anything you put your mind to. Looking forward to seeing more updates!😊
I love your trim detail. E we did butt corners for our floor trim rather than miter, it’s so much easier and no one sees those inside corners either. Enjoying this series so much.
So cool! One tip I would give you is to get roller blade type wheels for your sewing chair. Way less issue with threads getting wrapped around their wheels and they are rubber so less damage to wood floors. They move so smoothly even on low pile carpet.
I love the window trim! We bought our house from a "flipper" and he had taken out all the window trim. I think this style would look so nice here. Thank you so much for the beautiful idea!
Congratulations on getting your dining area all spiffed up again! It’s so hard living in a construction zone sometimes! So nice when a job is finished well.
Technically "Palais" would be pronounced pal-lay, but I don't think it matters--especially because it translates to palace, anyway! It all looks gorgeous and makes the room so bright! I've been loving following these updates and seeing everything come together. It helps me feel motivated to do all the things on our punch list, too! ETA: For filling your nail holes, strongly recommend using wood filler rather than spackle--you should be able to find plastiwood or similar in white, but just be sure to get one that's paintable. Filler will look better in the long term and if/when you need to paint again, future you will thank you. Also strongly recommend caulking (flush) around the trim in areas where there are gaps between the trim and the wall. For one thing, it'll help with air leaks and your overall insulation, but it also closes off areas where dust and grime collect and bugs like spiders and other pests like to make their homes. It's one of those tiny things that you won't actively notice but makes your life easier and improves the space overall. Can't wait to see how it all turns out!
Isn’t it so satisfying when things get done? I love the trim. It’s so simple and not all garish and over the top. It will be all beautiful for Christmas ❤❤
I remember living in a house as a child with the window trim made the same way except the corners to the 1 by 2's were rounded at the bottom. I'm not sure about the top as I was a child. They could have been.
From my house remodel with stained trim/windows like those, we had to use Kilz as primer over stained piece. The stain was ‘bleeding’ thru regular primer.
Yes, we have been updating the outlets room by room. But I have delegated that to my husband because I loathe doing it, I've discovered! 😅 So those still need to be switched out :)
Hi, The room looks so much lighter. Not as in more daylight, but as nor weighing down as much. This might be a difference in culture, so no disparagement intended (funny how you can remember some large words, but for the ordinary smaller synonyme escapes you. You just witnessed one of those. English isn't my first language). Around my nook of the geography, there is a not doing any freshen up walls without painting the ceiling too. All the manky paint, the staining from sun damage, the yellowing from years being lived in, and dead carcases of mosquitos passed, would show against the sparkling new everything else in the room. We would only paint the ceiling white, unless there is a tenager in that room. Keep the tenager happy and repaint when they have moved out, or outgrows the purple or black ceiling themself and they can pay for the paint. I know you did paint the ceiling in the kitchen, but you don't mention it here. Do you have the same cultural pressure on painting ceilings too? (Well, I think I might know how to spell ceiling now, say's the slightly dyslexic here Yours, Ann

You are an inspiration to all of us to give things a try, thanks. The house is looking more and more loved every day.
Thanks!! We really love this place and it's been fun to watch it transform.

Great choice with the chunkier trim! And that's such a pretty warm white...what a difference! It's really looking cozy and cared for. 😊
It is so much fun watching you use those power tools, especially your saws. The window trim and baseboards look great!!
I love your trim detail. E we did butt corners for our floor trim rather than miter, it’s so much easier and no one sees those inside corners either. Enjoying this series so much.
You're amazing! Your confidence is inspiring and your work, envy producing. You and your husband appear to be making great progress. Congrats!
I like your “supervisor “ that shows up to check your progress 😂
Sometimes he whips out a flashlight to inspect, too 😏🤣

I have done this on my chairs and the roller blade wheels are great. Very smooth
Job well done with the trim. Nice to know you’ll have a critter-free holiday with the extra foam sealant you added.
Wider trim , looks so much better !

It has been a challenge! haha. Whenever we look back over the old footage, we can hardly believe how much it has evolved!

You're amazing, Casey! The house is shaping up to be truly fabulous 👌
Great job! I'm living vicariously through your hard work. Phew, I'm exhausted! As others have said, you're truly an inspiration!
Looks so good 👍🏻👏🏻
It looks soo good! Amazing how trim can make a room.
Great job Casey! What a difference in the room by lightning the color and adding the trim. This house is going to be great when you are done!

It really is!

The trim is looking fantastic! I think you made great choices in the wider boards, love the color too.
Thank you! The wider trim boards make it feel like a totally different house!
It´s amazing what you are creating.
Great transformation!
I really like your bay windows. 🙂
From my house remodel with stained trim/windows like those, we had to use Kilz as primer over stained piece. The stain was ‘bleeding’ thru regular primer.
Oh yeah, we have run into that too! Unfortunately, Kilz didn't help much in our case 😫
Great job!
Lookin' good!!!!
It's so pretty!
Looks like your new nail gun was 👍
Everything looks great! It looks like your electrical sockets are beige? If so, I would recommend changing them to white. It's easy. 😊
Thanks! We've been replacing all the outlets, we just ran out :)
Looks like pros did it!
Haha thanks! :)
Love your hair!!
It’s looking really beautiful!!
You're making such great progress. You must be tired at the end of each day. Looks Great!
Oh, it's definitely tiring but rewarding! Thanks!
Great progress! The light color REALLY brightens up that room and trim looks great! Are you going to switch out the plugs too?
Yes, we have been updating the outlets room by room. But I have delegated that to my husband because I loathe doing it, I've discovered! 😅 So those still need to be switched out :)
Ear protection while using the nail gun, but only if you value your hearing.

🤯❤❤❤😍👏
Face mask so you don't inhale the spray.
Awesome job Casey. You are going to have an awesome house. Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks so much!
