Even though you are in a van~~in hurricane weather~~you still make your time spent with us so special, comforting and being at home in cold weather. You are special and I so appreciate your warmth. Just love being a part of your life. Thanks
I recently found your channel and I'm not sure how. I've never sought out this type of content. But I'm so happy that I did. The videography is top notch and the images you capture are absolutely breathtaking. My husband and I had planned to sell our home and hit the road once we retired. But, God had other plans and called him home in August 2022. Cancer sucks! We were together for 37 years and married for 31. I've been trying to navigate life without him and it's difficult. I still work, but I don't need to. I think I know why I found your channel. I think I see retirement coming sooner than I thought. Thank you for taking me along on your journey, which is now the beginning of my journey.

Wow, this is such an amazing and inspiring video! You are truly a brave and adventurous soul, living in a van in such extreme conditions. I admire your courage, resilience, and positive attitude. We grow our own spinach, hamburgers today with green chili. No one’s a fan of coastal hurricanes. Irrational storm chasers/broadcasters. You’re so courages yet sensible to evacuate per the warnings. Thank you again!
👋Hey there Norwegian Xplorer, This is another brilliant video created & shared. You're the video making star🌟! lol The weather's so often wild & wet but nonetheless, you deal with it all so positively & you make it all look so easy, yet it's not. I never tire of your videos & apart from seeing all of the jaw dropping scenery, I also enjoy watching you prepare your meals. You seem to enjoy what you do. Speaking of freezing/wild weather, I recall our 2 hour delay for our trains arrival in Bergen, as there'd been much ice abound on the tracks near Oslo & beyond & for safety reasons, we had to wait. Also, I love all of your music within your videos. The music really adds a special feel, energy, atmosphere & ambiance to your videos. Once again, tusen takk for sharing & here's wishing you well. Another collection of absolutely stunning images and footage often filmed in extremely testing conditions. I have to give a show of respect for your van, I don’t know if it’s been modified, other than you restricting the air flow to the radiator , so that it doesn’t freeze, but it appears to serve you incredibly well in the most challenging conditions. I recall in the eighties , FIAT was an acronym for Fix It Again Tomorrow, yet here it’s being used in conditions that would appear to challenge pretty much anything. Also the beautiful drone footage must have been taken in very cold conditions and the footage speaks for itself. The manufacturers must be thrilled with the films you’re creating with it, I hope they’re sponsoring you ?
Hey Lee, no I am not sponsored by anyone, which gives me the freedom to say and do as I please. I have actual tears of joy watching this video, thank you for this, very therapeutic for me. Absolutely stunning scenery, truly God's country Side note: now that's a proper 🍔 burger Sir #RESPECT (Well done Chef)(Outstanding meal preparation and presentation) we indeed eat with our eyes
Man, I can fall asleep to that kind of weather right there, nice fire, good food, maybe a good brandy, what!!! I also live on the East coast here in the US ( Ga ) and whenever we get hurricanes and all, everyone freaks out and loses their minds, whereas I'm sitting here laughing when it passes
There is a jetty in Crescent City in Northern California that warns people of rogue waves. People have been swept out to sea by these waves. I'm glad your were able to shelter in place next to a large building further inland. Probably a good idea to go further north to avoid the next round of hurricanes.
You are very wise in the precautions you take. Bad weather is something that shouldn't be toyed with. It always astounds me that some people here in the U.S. don't evacuate when severe hurricanes hit. I remember back in 1980 a horrible accident that occurred on the Sunshine Highway bridge during bad weather. I think 35 people died. That was the bridge in Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida. It wasn't even a hurricane. My mother lived in Florida and that bridge scared the heck out of me in good weather. The deck the cars drove on was 200 feet (almost 61 meters) above the water. The weather was bad and a freighter hit a support pier. Part of the bridge collapsed and 35 people lost their lives. One of the vehicles on the bridge was a Greyhound travel bus and all the people on that bus lost their lives. Also people in private cars lost their lives. If I remember 1 man in a truck survived the fall into the bay. Please just continue to be your wise self. I love your channel and would hate for you to endanger yourself. Your photography and trips are just too wonderful. Continue to follow your gut instincts. Safe and wonderful travels to you. Kindest regards. Mary
It's really amazing to think that you have been able to develop such a cinematographic eye without going to film school. Each shot looks like it belongs in a movie or professional documentary! I really think you should submit your work in a film competition! I hope you will at least consider it.

@NorwegianXplorer absolutely. I have 6 kids all grown but every chance I had I would take the whole family camping and with the family gone I'd like to do what your doing but here in the states.
Im not sure if I have ever seen your videos before. What a beautiful coastal drive that is. Can only imagine how it is on a calm sunny day. I have never heard of Arctic Hurricanes. Great video!
Thanks John, yes the weather is being really bad these days, but the weather is in general really bad in Norway, but the storms have gotten worse lately
This reminds me of where I live in St John’s,Nl Ca. We, here on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland in the middle of the ocean with the Arctic Ocean ( Labrador Current )on one side and the warmer gulf waters sort of mediating the water on the other side and the result is often brutal weather with winds of 110 and 120 km an hour either Rain r snow. Back in 2020 we were totally buried with 9 feet of snow and it took two weeks before everyone got dug out and they had to call the army in for help. snow drift were 15 feet high. I have pictures you wouldn’t believe .The weather is unpredictable too. you could have the most gorgeous winter no rain no snow quite warm or you could have hell on earth. Used to it though makes life exciting.I work for 30 years and many winter I spent days snowbound in the hospital where I worked.
Happy to see you relocate to what was hopefully a safer location. I love your videos, but would prefer that you miss posting one for a week or two so that you remain safe and well. Take care. 🚐☔️
Hey Kathleen, this was about a month ago. I plan ahead so I am always prepared for what is gonna happen, that is why I had a full day to leave the area.
Another Amazing Video on your channel! Thanks for sharing! Oh ... and those people near the edge of the sea are Obviously a "Survive a storm in Artic Norway" youtuber's Convention 😀😀 ...
Thank you Jarl for a really nice video, you know 3 hurricanes is pretty rough, I have to deal with it myself I'm in Daytona Beach, Fl. I believe irregardless of the cause there are changes in the weather as had been recorded in years previous. and living on one of the worlds seacoast I have seen it. thanks for a great video.😉👍
Yes, weather has indeed gotten worse with the warming, some people think that hurricanes means that it is not getting warmer🤡, I have a comment from one of those right around this comment somewhere😂
I was looking forward to your next chapter and it didn't disappoint. Absolutely extraordinary. I was so relieved to once again witness your good common sense in those unbelievable storms you were in. Those burgers you cooked looked fabulous. Once again, your video was first class. Can hardly wait for the next one. I hope it is lengthy.
Hey Janet, Thanks for the kind comments! I am still going into unknow territories lol! I am in Arctic Finland right now, around 60 miles from the Russian border:-)
Great vid Jarl. Hopefully once in a lifetime for the people's sake. Really good footage. A bit stir crazy hanging in a parking lot for a couple nights. I do a lot of photography. Made a living at it for a few years. But those people are crazy. About to be a statistic. Trouble with being on an island, hardly anywhere to hide. Now a pouring down of intense snow. Hilleberg weather. Next time.
Thanks Sam, yes, i got a little bit worn out by that stuff in the end, you never get proper rest because you are always checking to see if conditions are changing, but a good spot to shelter. Yeah, I do not know the nationality of that photo group, but a couple of European countries stand for most of the statistics for being swiped to see and falling off mountains in Lofoten, they do not speak french or english, they make good cars and the other where once a great sea power without speaking spanish or portuguese😂
@@NorwegianXplorer I never like making light of nature's fury especially when people's lives can be so dramatically affected, however, those pesky mosquitos were held at bay.
I'm #240 to "Like" this video, Jarl. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for taking your time, effort, & equipment to share this weather with me. I finished reading "Cross Antarctica", written by Will Steger - the story of 6 men, 3 dog teams crossing 3,741 miles back in 1990 - the International Trans Antarctica Team. Fascinating story. I've started to re-read Aaron Linsdau's "Antarctic Tears "who skied across "unsupported/Solo" - once you begin reading you won't be able to put the book down until you read the very last page. Aaron resides in nearby Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Warm Regards from far away Reno, Nevada, U.S.A.
Oh wow, sounds interesting. Jackson Hole, awesome place, I was up there a few years ago when I did the backpacking trip to the headwaters of the Yellowstone river. I really enjoy that area, not so much the Teton side as the Washakie and Shoshone side of the Snake River

🙏
I have actual tears of joy watching this video, thank you for this, very therapeutic for me. Absolutely stunning scenery, truly God's country
Side note: now that's a proper 🍔 burger Sir #RESPECT (Well done Chef)(Outstanding meal preparation and presentation) we indeed eat with our eyes
Thank you so much my friend!
Lol, I get where you are coming from with that!
Thank you … powerful beautiful images… much appreciated by us in our warm home in the uk 🤗
Thank you too!
STAY SAFE!! Loved the video
Thank you so much dear friend🫶
Thank you for capturing such spectacular and beautiful scenery along the way! Also, make sure to stay SAFE on the road!!
Thank you, I will
I'm late seeing this but it's breath taking. Even the sounds of the storm is so healing some how. Thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Right there with you as I live the dream through you. Every night I fall asleep thinking of your travels.
Awesome, thank you so much Laurie!
Your choice of music is amazing.
I actually make it myself under the name Melantopia
There is a jetty in Crescent City in Northern California that warns people of rogue waves. People have been swept out to sea by these waves. I'm glad your were able to shelter in place next to a large building further inland. Probably a good idea to go further north to avoid the next round of hurricanes.
Yeah, we do have people dying in Norwegian nature every year, funny enough, it is always tourists🤷♂️
Mary
Thanks Mary!
It's really amazing to think that you have been able to develop such a cinematographic eye without going to film school. Each shot looks like it belongs in a movie or professional documentary! I really think you should submit your work in a film competition! I hope you will at least consider it.
Thank you!!
New Subscriber! Wow, I was on the edge of my seat. Beautiful landscapes and views. You video popped up in my feed. I’ve watched both of your last videos, couldn’t stop watching, it’s now 4am. I’m in awe, you are a brave and smart man. Stay safe.

😮 WOW that's awesome. You went from hurricane and rain and hail and a snowstorm. That's crazy weather. It's in the 70's during the day here to 30-40's at night. It's nice seeing Snow cause ours is probably done for this winter. I'm glad u put the mph up there cause here we don't measure winds like y'all do. Stay safe and warm. My granddaughter loves the snow and water, 😂❤💚💙
Thanks Pat, where are you located? Winter usually goes on until May here, June in the mountains
Hi, every time I watch your videos I always say a prayer for you. Please be safe in the hurricane and 🥶 blizzards. Sincerely Tricee from AMERICA in Virginia Beach ⛱️⛱️⛱️ Virginia.

@NorwegianXplorer absolutely. I have 6 kids all grown but every chance I had I would take the whole family camping and with the family gone I'd like to do what your doing but here in the states.
So many beautiful places to be out in a van in the states!
@NorwegianXplorer once you get out west or down south you need a van or some hard shell because animals will eat you. Lol
Top stuff my friend.
Thanks!
I’m so looking forward to watching this thank you 🤗
Hope you like it!
Some superb footage in this weeks video, thanks for making the effort to get it too!
Thanks for watching!
4:43 Arguably the best scenery in all your footage.
Thank you so much!
Im not sure if I have ever seen your videos before. What a beautiful coastal drive that is. Can only imagine how it is on a calm sunny day. I have never heard of Arctic Hurricanes. Great video!
Thank you, I have a few videos on here from Lofoten in summer when I climb the highest mountain out here
@@NorwegianXplorer I will start working my way thru them. Thank you
@@pkelso05 Cool! Enjoy!
Lofoten is becoming one of my favourite places
It is quite cool, but too many tourists now
Jarl it seems like bad weather is your companion on this trip , I hope February is better for you . Stay safe my friend .😊😊
Thanks John, yes the weather is being really bad these days, but the weather is in general really bad in Norway, but the storms have gotten worse lately
Very impressive video! I loved it.
Thanks a lot!
Used to it though makes life exciting.I work for 30 years and many winter I spent days snowbound in the hospital where I worked.
thanks for sharing the story
mind blowing woww
Thanks Jack!
Wow! Looks like 1st Class Dining!
Lol!

Haha, I think they where clearly hobby photographers on a photo tour in those 2 rental vans
Awesome weather conditions and a great video. 👍
Thanks 👍
Thank you Jarl for a really nice video, you know 3 hurricanes is pretty rough, I have to deal with it myself I'm in Daytona Beach, Fl. I believe irregardless of the cause there are changes in the weather as had been recorded in years previous. and living on one of the worlds seacoast I have seen it. thanks for a great video.😉👍
Yes, weather has indeed gotten worse with the warming, some people think that hurricanes means that it is not getting warmer🤡, I have a comment from one of those right around this comment somewhere😂
Damn... Now thats some serious vanlife.
It has been crazy this winter
Hahaha, the mosquitos where not bad at all😂
Hi Boston loves your videos. You need to post more often.
Once a week not enough?
@@NorwegianXplorer
Nope
Skremmende og fascinerende. 😮❤vær forsiktig❤
Alltid!
As always, beautiful scenery, awesome weather video's, keep safe.
Thanks Clint, will do!
i joined your basic group today. keep up the great vid's.
Awesome, thank you and welcome!! Appreciate it!
Thanks for sharing your amazing adventure x
