That fugio is so sweet
The 8R is awesome.
Yes!!
The Isabella and the 15 Panama Pacific are really nice. I looked up the 1915 and turns out Barber did the obverse and Morgan did the reverse. The eagle on the back looked like Morgan. Barber did a great job on the observe often criticized by his other series as being mundane, but this coin is truly a classic beauty. Great holdings
I love the draped bust design. That, flowing hair and seated are my three favorite silver designs.
They are beautiful!
I almost bought a details fugio cent, but decided to pass since the holidays are around the corner and I’ll be bleeding money left and right. So cool! Thanks for sharing.
Isabella is magnificent! That's one that needs to be passed down as a family heirloom. Nice selection!
I love shipwreck coins. Just such a piece of history. Great collection!
Speg, you should send that 17-D Merc to CAC. May get a gold sticker on it.
Great collection, they do give full band on mercs not being MS. Look in the price guide.
Thanks for sharing your collection.
Also I would resubmit the merc
This info is from their website (PCGS). Other grading services may do it different.
Such a great selection of RARE beauties !!!!
I really enjoyed your favorites for the history and broad diversity. Best part is the Pledge of Allegiance you did. I'm 51 years old, a 40 plus year collector, and a 23-year US Army retired veteran. I work as a corrections officer at a prison in Colorado. During 0645 rollcall the subject of the pledge of allegiance came up. I plan to recite it when I get promoted to Sergeant soon!
Your coins are Always of the best quality and even if Graders are Blind!!!!!!
Great collection!
I want a Pillar dollar so bad.....such a beautiful coin...especially the one you have in your possession. Arguably, they could be the most beautiful Silver coin ever created.
Show us some more Speg! All are really super cool. Shipwreck coins are mysterious!
Agreed!
More to come!
Not usually a fan of random collections but you have a lovely grouping of meaningful coins there. Congratulations !
When the silver dollars went to banks back when I was young they went to the banks loose in "Bank Bags" for circulation.
Love the Pan Pacific Commem!
If the US Mint redoes the draped bust dollar after the flowing hair dollar in gold WOW!
Beautiful Collins, my friend!
OUTSTANDING line-up! I'm jealous! You have great taste. Definitely impressive!!!😎🇺🇸🦅💪
That Isabella quarter is amazing..😍
I bought an AMAZING Isabella…not cleaned just recently and she is absolutely stellar. I can’t wait to go ahead and get her graded. I’ll let you know what I get on it.
Cool coins thanks for shareing !!!
I appreciate your collection and how many areas you cover. Would be nice if you added a coin from the Central America shipwreck 😊
My top 5:
Oregon Trail
Texas
Gettysburg
Antietam
Pan Pacific
For modern coins love the Statue of Liberty half with the immigrant family looking at the NYC skyline
Great selection of awesome coins Speg...and those "treasure" coins.....WOW! Love to see even more of your collection! Take care, be safe and God bless!
amazing collection Spegy! wow the colors on that merc! all those possible shipwreck coins! I love it all! Thanks for sharing brother!!
You are so welcome
Absolutely beautiful collection. To be proud of for sure. My favorite is your Isabella quarter, oh my, the luster and toning are just stunning. That's one of the coins I've never owned, I want one for sure. One day, one day. I can be patient.
I'd like to see some of the elements from our early coins brought forward too. I like any coin that features the flying eagle. Bring them back.
Great coins, thanks for showing them to us..
Speg , "fugio" means "I flee" , as in flee Britain. "Tempus fugit" means "time flies". The Fugio and the 1742 8 Reales... 😍😍😍
The pillar design is on the reverse on the spanish doubloon gold bullion. Love my 2023 gold Spanish doubloon
you know i have a soft spot for SLQs but some of my other favorites are the barber, all the capped bust coins, and i got a thing for benjis and mercs too! LOL I JUST LOVE IT ALL!!!
Those are SICK coins SpegTacular! You really got to get that Iseballa CAC'd!!!
That Isabella is in my top 5 coins I love, and as always I love it when you show off some off the stuff you have as it inspires me to look for things I don’t have or didn’t know about. Love ya man
Good choice!
FUGIOs are awesome. The French Ship forced to sail with the Spanish plate fleet was the one that escaped and made it back. I detect many of the sites after storms. Beach only Water requies oermit from Fischers. 🐥
Nice Saint…I love the Eagle Saint Gaudens used. It’s definitely a cool eagle.
My two favorite coins in my collection are my 1795 flowing hair half dollar and 1793 wreath cent.
Sweet coins. Nothing like a blazing Morgan in a slab.
Beautiful collection!!!
Thank you for sharing, and what a fun surprise to share with my morning coffee. Think about it, 1783 which has "Salt Water Damage", as you stated, was more than likely "sunken treasure", like a pebble, and after decades of storms, that coin made its way to the shore where that boy found it.
The 1917D Merc., crack it, and re-submit it to NGC. The Isabella, it's one of my favorites, wow, in MS66, what a gorgeous coin!! Have a great day!
The us mint would hit a home run by producing proofs of these iconic designs
Awesome video. Beautiful coins. The dime I love almost looks proof. Love mercs.
Very beautiful Speg. I enjoy the history.
Thanks for showing some coins that I have never seen. Very cool.
Glad you enjoyed
Gorgeous collection! Keep up the Great Work!
He finds some pretty amazing coins!
Thank you! Will do!
Lots of fun and beautiful coins there. I have a number of Morgan dollars that I love to pieces. I also have a 1929 MS64 SLQ with a full head that I bought raw, I have more valuable coins for sure but I love that one. Thanks for sharing your gems with us!
...drool. Very nice, thank for sharing...good stuff.
The Plate Fleet Wreck coins are very popular locally where I live. There are still salvage boats that go on seadonal fives from Ft. Pierce to Vero where finds are still occurring.
You have given me new ideas to add to my collection
DOPE!Love them.
Wow youve got a great collection. Wish i had some amazing pieces like these.
Thanks for the video Speg
Totally out of my price range, but I love looking at them, Keep Stackin bro
All the shipwreck coins are my Favs!
Send that 17-D merc to CAC and get a sticker. May even get a gold. That's a beautiful dime!
Excellent coins , very very cool 👍
GM speg thanks for showing us ur favorite coin treasures for the year🥈 😊
Beautiful coins and great dates
I love my Newfoundland gold, no matter what the grade. I'm still missing 2 and hope to get them in the near future.
2 I recently sold that I regret was 1880 cc Carson city Morgan silver dollar I think it was graded a ms63 or 64 it was a vam with the dash under the 8 and it was in an old pcgs rattler holder the old green holder. And a 2020 w silver Eagle dollar the v75 75 year anniversary of ww2 I think graded pcgs in pr70 first strike early release I believe only 75,000 made hated to sell them but need money for upcoming dental work 😢 guess that’s part of the trade though
Awww hopefully down the road you can get them back!
Nice stuff, now I have to go shopping!
😆 let us know ow what you get!
Go for it!
I grabbed a pillar dollar (actually 2: one AU repaired and one XF shipwreck), and an Isabella AU58. Already had a Fugio (VF corrosion). I really want a 1715 Plate fleet, but wow are they pricey!
Love all of them
That fugio cent is really nice and I don't get into copper but the details on that coin are amazing also I think the 1917D merc deserved a 60 with full split bands, you got kinda robbed on that on I would probably crack that one out and resubmit it but then it would come back as artificial/questionable toning LOL sometimes you just can't win! Awesome coins!
Very nice collection. I love your Pan Pac coins! Living close to S.F. Bay area, I/m a big fan and collector of the 1915 Pan Pacific Fair! I own the same two coins in Mint state, along with the one dollar and $2.1/2 dollar gold coins.
You mentioned our favorite coins in our collections? Mine would have to be my 1916 Standing Liberty 25c, my 1857-S S.S. Central America shipwreck $20.00 and my 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar. Keep up the great work, I love your videos with the "Coin Guy"!
1795 flowing hair? Wonderful!!
SPEGS! HEY IF I MISS YOU AND MRS.SPEGS MAY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING SIR THANKS GOOD VID
I love that pan pac
Bro I can’t find any of these coins for less than 2 grand. God you got an amazing collection brother. Love the shipwreck collection. Dude you’re amazing, keep up the channel please.
The coin I really like is the 2019 Korean Tiger gold 1 oz. I am trying to get one. Let me know if you come across it
Love the pillar dollar
Some of my favorite coins are some old casino strikes my grandfather gave me. I miss him.
That Isabella should have gotten a star from NGC.
That’s a nice looking Fugio
So that's where you got the idea for one of your channel rounds designs. I've never seen that coin before
Great video Spegs
Killer collection
I also have a 1927 in plastic me63 but I feel the same as you do about it looking like a 2023 eagle look
Awesome collection. I like how mind your business doesn’t mean the same thing as it did in the 1700s.
Your 1783 eight real is possibly from the shipwreck of El Cazador.
Fugio means to Flee. Time Flies / is fleating is Tempus Fuget. Long time lurker First time commenter, but met Guy when he was up in St. Augustine. Great collection and thanks for the inspo to find a Fugio cent for myself
It’s one of those words that when translated from our language doesn’t mean one single pinpointed thing. Although fleeing is a meaning that can’t be used, “I fly” is appropriate and proper translation. Lord of the rings being one of my favorite movies, Gandalf says to his party “fly you fools” but not intending for the party to grow wings and flap them to safety, but as a way to tell them to run or flee!
So while flee is appropriate, so are several other words like fly, avoid, evade, etc. the intended translation however from Latin was Fly. Thanks for the comment!
Do you have an video of the process of sending off coins to be graded?
I've thought about sending some off but it's confusing
it looks terrifying but once you get in there, it's not that bad. I've discussed it a few times but I can certainly add a more in depth video soon.
I’d suggest NGC for those
My graded 1783 8 real says it is El Cazador ship wreck .Many thousands were on her don't know how many have been found.
Cool man.
Nice collection
Wow! Beutiful!
Might be worth it to do a crackout on that merc maybe a different person grading it will do you better but for me I really don't even care about the slab I like my coins in their natural habitat. But then again I mostly buy coins under 200 dollars if they cost more then that I would want them authenticated.
Wow, your coins are awesome! I’ve never sent any coins in for grading, but I have one that I really want to send in. It is a 1789 Mott Store token which is listed in the Red Book. I have checked values on line and most of the ones I see have a die cud on the obverse around the clock face. Mine has excellent detail on both sides. ( I think it is my profile pic.) It is the favorite in my collection.......
Even above my Morgans. 😲
1783 is the El Cazador wreck.
Based on year, likely from 1784 El Cazador shipwreck. You have a very nice one.
WOW
That ISABELLA!!!! ❤ 🤤
Nice coda!
Good stuff
Yes! What was your favorite in his video?
We need to think like we did in 1787. If people would mind their business and unite as one, the country would be a better place… remember, time flies.
my fav coin i own "100 ECU Piedfort België 2 Oz" :)
Thats a cool shirt you're selling
Thank you :)
PS.AND YOUR ADDRESS IS?? LOL YOU HAVE A GREAT COLLECTION SPEGS...SWEET
My address is always in the description;)
LOL ME? NEVER I KNOW WHAT YOUR CAPABLE OF SIR LOL AGAIN@@Spegtacular
Cheers
I'm with you about the split bands. Do you know if that's an official rule, or is it possible that the person grading it was just having a bad day???
It’s PCGS’s rule.
Seems items are of course regular affordable.. coin stores love to move not particular rare yet appeal
Let go
