    The excessive delay is why I decided to make submissions to CACGrading. Turn around in less than 3 weeks.

    Very good video! Thank you! If the back says Genuine non Gradable then it is a problem coin, as others pointed out. You did not seem to be aware even of this basic thing. So you must be at the begining of your journey, but you did o very nice presentation with the 2 videos. Once again, thank you from Romania!

      Thanks for the constructive criticism. But as I said multiple times in the video, these were nearly all customer coins that wanted them submitted. Some of them I know I told them that they would get details grades, but they wanted to submit anyway. There were only a few coins that were from the shop that were submitted, and 4 coins that were my personal ones. Do I have a lot to learn? Absolutely. Was it a waste of money? Not to me personally.

    If you're new to collecting, I HIGHLY recommend to NOT submit ANYTHING for grading. Study, study, study. Learn the minting process (very important), learn the signs of cleaning and artificial toning. Learn the difference in a weak strike and actual circulation. Learn how to properly clean coins that will not get a details grade.
    Just my opinion. People make tons of mistakes trying to rush through the process. Take your time and learn as much of the process as possible and you'll likely never be shocked by some of the nutcases at the TPGs.
    Plus, the community is always willing to help out a newbie. Any questions and professional opinions are only a click away. Take advantage of the available resources and you will know what to expect.
    Hated to see so many cleaned coins get graded, but live and learn. Always love the grade reveal videos. Subbed. 👍🏻

    awesome video! Dont feel too bad about the grades. Grading is subjective and many of those details coins might straight grade if you sent them in again to NGC or Anacs. I learned the hard way not to send in a coin unless i don't care what the grade comes back as. PCGS is crazy with the details grading the last couple years. KEEP STACKING BRO

    PCGS is way harder on their grades now. At the same time they inflate their price guide.
    As for the cleaned coins, it's actually hard to find a silver dollar that wasn't cleaned. They probably all were at some point, just some are cleaned with in-proper methods.

    • @carlcaruso33
      @carlcaruso33 10 місяців тому

      There's a difference in a cleaned coin and a restored one. Removing debris, pcv residue won't be considered cleaned. Removal of any metal from the surface is considered cleaned. Acetone is the best method to restore a coin for it won't remove any metal. It can be tough to discern a cleaned one from a non adulterated one. The more you get familiar with the way the residue shows on the coin, the better you'll get. Morgans were originally transported in cotton bags, and via horse and carriage, along very rough, primitive roadways. The graders know this and chatter appearing on the high points, ie cheek area are considered. The cleaned ones, although still have cartwheel effect, can be discerned usually by the cheek area. They will have a darker, almost sunken look to them. Ultimately, Morgans are tough to grade at times, and. I've been kicked in the nuts many times in the past. Thanks for the vid brother 👍🙏🕉️

    • @silverscrounger

      95% of the coins that were submitted were not my choice. They were customer coins and they insisted on them being sent in... even after some were told they may not straight grade. I do not argue the fact that I still have a lot to learn. I knew that before sending these in. I will always have a lot to learn, no matter how much I do learn... there's always more.

    PCGS has some very subjective graders, A lot of your coins did not deserve the gradings they were given. It costs you a lot of money for PGCS submissions and to be honest it appears to be a lottery as far as gradings go. I'm sure if you resubmitted them at a later date a high percentage would come back with different grades. They have you over a barrel. Your gradings are at their decisions with no comebacks at all. This pisses me off big time. It costs a lot of money for the whims of dubious graders
