honest to god your bike is so beautiful in all aspects, sound, look etc. I've wanted a virago for so long now (i've always wanted the 750 but vids like this make me want the 535 just as much)
The 535 seems to have the best of both worlds, and the difference in power is not EXTREMELY noticeable from one to the other, but the different size is. Anyway, I own a 535 and it is a great reliable bike with a unique look. The take on the 750 was given to me by my mechanic, who has owned both.
@@morkus17 well, a year later and I've bought myself a project 535 that I've all but finished, the next step is passing my test (I thought the project would've taken longer so I thought I'd be ready to ride it by the time I finished working on it lol)
I should have bought this bike back then. But I bought a car first. Family matter first. Now my kids already grown up. Can start to get this bike soon. Even though this is old model, I still like it as I first like chopper bike back in 1997.
Hey Morkus! Great videos you make, and great bike you have. I also have a 535, and I have to ask you, have you noticed any issues with the Blackwidow exhausts? I know aftermarket exhausts are not the best for motorcycles, but I just can't stand how the stock market exhaust sounds, especially at high speed. There's this almost bird-like whiz that I just think completely ruins it for me. The Blackwidow ones are fairly prices and I've heard good things about their support. Is it too much of a hassle to install them? Thanks a lot!
Hey man, I don't have the 535 anymore. But I had it with the blackwidow exhausts for about 2 years, they are veeery loud but I definitely recommend ! Only problem is the installation, for the exhaust on the side its quite tricky to get to the bolts connecting to the manifold. But once you have done it once, its not too bad. If you end up getting them and have any issues feel free to message me and I can try help you out 👍🏻
Oh, also. I changed the jets on my carburettors and messed about with the air/fuel intake screw to get it right. But its pretty easy to do both these steps.

Hahaha I personally love it, but I do wish it did not feel like it struggled at highway speeds. An extra gear would feel much smoother at high speeds tbh
@@IndependentVictorI wanted a bigger bike that I can do miles on more comfortably. If I had enough money I would of kept it ! It was a fun torquey little bike with character. It certainly had its flaws, pretty much everything you can expect from a lightweight '96 cruiser though.

I will try to keep mine as long as possible but I can definitely see its drawbacks for long distance trips and, that lack of gasoline level gauge is a pain in the ass sometimes, especially keeping in mind the reserve fuel switch usually breaks over time. Anyway, thanks for making these videos. I think they are a great contribution for anyone wondering how it feels to ride a Virago 535. Cheers and drive safe!

I swapped it to the original exhaust for MOT just to be safe. Because I'd heard of some passing and some failing, depends on the tester.

Hi im looking to buy this exhaust for my virago and isnt it too loud or annoying while riding?
It is very loud. To be honest it does get slightly annoying at high speeds after a while. It sounds quite drone-y.
