Love the running commentary while riding and the history lesson . The virago was a bit of love / hate bike but it has its own original style . Most I’ve seen still are in fair to good condition, lots of bikes have come after and now gone , says something about the build of the virago. Looking forward to the build and get that new tyre on soon .
Thanks mate, it is a devisive look but gee it goes well and rides nicely. And this one is in such good condition. Id say absolutely its tribute to the build quality
Was wondering why I didn't see many gen 2 cafe builds. Have a 97 750 that I'm thinking about building or upgrading to a dyna. Thanks for the inspiration! You just earned yourself a subscriber.
Steve sounds and looks like he runs really well. A welcome addition to the garage. Can’t wait to see what you have planned. Enjoy and as always I’ll be looking your videos. Brilliant.
Scrolling because I'm going over to Iowa to look at a 93 17,000mi on it, guy went through it redone carbs, new clutch, cables, brakes, tires, battery, all that work for his wife. Then she wanted a Honda lol. So he put up on market place for $800(U.S.) said stater went end of season. Son has pick up plus it's 4° f & cash in hand. Ty for this video.
G'day mate! I acquired a 87 XV 750 a few years ago and im starting the process of bobbing it out, starting witha single carb conversation. I followed your xv250 (Gilby) build while doing up my old 250... Looking forward to completing the build. Cheers for all your content boss.
Had one 25 year's, bulletproof,750 revs higher, better than 1100,takes 175 van tyre, cut puncher bead off wheel, bigger diameter 140+ mph,fz 600 twin pot calipers, straight swap, same discs, chuck filters, exhausts, mess with jets,85 hp, used to back mine into wet roundabouts banging it down one gear to many, burnout's in second or third, chopped mine, looked Indian, lagonda headlight, trials lowered bar's, forks stuck out top of yokes 3 inches, cut tank longways lowered it, Indian mudguards, used to hang off it, BMW knobbly front tyre enduro softest, wicked bike, unbreakable
Agree with the comment about mids on a cruiser. I’ve got mids on my fxdls and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to forwards again! Looking forward to the next vid on this one bud 🤙🏼
I have a 96 model of the xv750... I hated the bars and changed them... I bought mine about 10 years ago. Just ticked over 67,000km and still goes strong
Hi! I am considering of buying the same . Seems to be in good condition but am afrqid of the bike beong old. Is that a valid conern? Tnx!!! (I have expiriemce with kawa vn's and so but much newer.
Excellent behind the scenes/history and a run down/review of steve. Your sponsorship from tourism tasmania must be coming soon... lovely roads you were on. Going to be a good season.
Hi buddy been really enjoying your videos they have inspired o get a virago an bobber it. I been looking around an found a couple of xv1100 for good price is there a lot of difference between the 750 an 1100? Cheers Ronnie
Thanks mate! Gen 2 xv1100 and xv750 are very similar, both great bikes. I have an xvs1100 so wanted a 750, if I didn't have that prob would have gone the xv1100! Cheers
1100 has the reserve tank and fuel pump & diaphragm clutch, 750 has gravity feed petcock and spring clutch other than the cc I believe they are the same. I have the 1100 and its bullet proof!😉
Got a 95 xv750 myself. Aside from going to a single carby and putting a new set of pipes on I'm leaving mine stock. Looking forward to seeing what you do with yours. Tell me, what gear do you use to do your motovlogging?
@@iRidetas well you have to stay true to you! I also liked your stock v star 650 but it’s your bike at the end of the day... PS, might be getting a v star 650 very soon so you might be on my mind a little more often!
Hello, I'm currently driving a 250cc virago. What would be the strength and weaknesses of the 750 across the coast? Planning to do qld -> nt-> wa-> all the way through SA into Vic.
I'm not sure I understand fully the question sorry, the xv750 is a superb all around bike and could imo easily be used for long distance touring! I would keep it more stock as it is very comfortable as stock. It may be a bit cramped if you are very tall.

Oooh! Goes nice. Looks good. Always wanted to make a crazy franks fender for a Virago.
Mate, that would look awesome! 👍👍

What do you think about the next car is Benelli Imperiale 400 ?
sorry, mate?
@@iRidetas
I mean are you planning to experience the Benelli Imperiale 400 motorcycle?
Oh ok, no im not!
Im wanting a 1996 virago for $2000. Is that too much to pay ?
Thats up to you mate! For a rusted POS prob yeah, for a mint example no!
Pardon me for saying but I think your numbers may be a little ambitious, the 750 only produces 51.8 hp and 43.5 nm.🙄
🤷♂️ cant remember 1 line from a video years ago, you may have to remind me what i quoted mate!
Not the best looking bike, but so comfy to ride both solo and with a pillion!
Couldn't agree more!
Well, I think it looks absolutely great. Depends on your own taste, like everything else.
