@@TheGearChange I moved over to Sunshine Coast from the Uk 2 years ago. Will definitely be getting another one. Mine was running the cp320 Collins performance 320 package. Was an absolute animal.
Congratulations for 2 thousand subscribers and yes, these mods do make a difference... I was lucky enough to get one with all of these mods installed (except number 4)... I've got a Miltek exhaust system on my car (according to the previous owner) and although it sounds great, it can drone a little sometimes IMO... For your car, definitely put a box setup for the CAI and if I were you, I would probably stay on the safe side and go stage 1 only, as it will be less stress on the engine and clutch... Stage 2 is also the upper limit for the engine before you install the block mod, and your clutch probably won't last long either...
Thanks Martin, I’ll definitely be doing the box setup when I can figure it all out and yeah I think a stage 1 remap will be fine for the car, might only do stage 2 once I’ve got a new clutch installed and a plenum I’d say 😄
Thanks mate, now that I think about it I probably should’ve added the intercooler at number 4 rather then the air intake scoop 😂. I might make a part 2 to this when I get the car lowered tuned and add some other performance mods though. I appreciate your support on the channel 🙌🏼
Nice mate, I have an old 2010 XR5 thats seen better days. Bought new back in the day but never changed anything and just used it as the daily to and from work. Planning to revive it one day, needs new paint, tints bubbling, and def some mods.
Thanks for watching the video mate and leaving a comment, that’s so cool that you bought it new back when they first came out. If you do revive it with some fresh paint, new tint and some mods it would be amazing 👏🏼
my dad has a pre facelift 2006 ST and he kept it completely stock and had it for basically the same use as you. we didn't have a garage so it was exposed to the sun for these 18 years and in the last few years at least on the outside it god pretty bad. now in the last few months we have both started reviving it as our mutual project in a way. i grew up in this car since i'm like only 2 years older than it is lol. defo begin the revival process one day u won't regret it.
Nice video. I would speak to Jamie about getting the stage two tune. I've heard some bad stories about Dream Science one when it comes to XR5. The last thing you want is a cracked liner. As you know the engine has an open deck. It's not rock solid like BMW N55 open deck. Secondly, I would also ensure that the cooling system is in tip top condition with regular pressure testing. A bigger downpipe is a must if you go stage 2. Even though I have the full stage 2 set up. I've only tuned with stage 1 just to be on the safe side. The tune has the stage 2 option but haven't tried it yet.
Yeah I’m still looking at tunes and also thinking I might do my clutch and get a plenum as well before I decide to tune it just so everything is there to run smoothly. It’s had no issues with no tune and just all the bolt ons as well, so I’m just hoping that when I tune it it’ll just give me some untapped into power that’s there 😄
Great video man watching from the uk i have all them except 4. Running 327bhp and 528nm love my st lol deffo get a 3inch down pipe and a sports cat also get a inlet plenum overall awesome video.
Thanks for watching Carl, I’ve got a 3 inch downpipe on mine just forgot to mention it hahah. 327bhp and 528nm would be so much fun, a lot to handle as well. I’m looking at getting an inlet plenum very soon, got my dreamscience handset arriving on Monday so I’ll finally be making use of the mods I’ve installed so far 😄
Hello, yes I did, I got it from AusBodyWorks who are based in Sydney and they shipped it to me on the Gold Coast. The install wasn't too bad but you'll definitely want someone to help you, thank you for watching and leaving a comment 😄
So sorry for the late reply mate, I used some tiger seal as well as some double sided waterproof tape down the sides as it can flap. The diffuser is also attached with the 3 bolts that go into the rear bumper and you will need some M5 nuts and washers to tighten it on there, I hope this helps 😎
Do you get any drone from the empire exhaust? My full mongoose with all other supporting mods sounds great but it’s just a touch quiet. Youse actually sounds louder. Would you recommend or should I just go section 59 mongoose. Thx
Hey mate, I don’t tend to get any drone with my empire. It’s pretty loud for what it is, but I’d like a bit more sound myself but not sure what other systems are out there 😄

I do agree to an extent, but I’ve heard a lot of people say that even with the block mod their liners have cracked, when the XR5 is making some more power I’d say it’s worthwhile but some people have still cracked the block with the block mod so I’ll just see how I go. Only reason I didn’t add it is that I’ve heard a lot of people say that even with the block mod their liners have cracked, so it’s not a guaranteed way to prevent it. It may help in the short term but long term if the car is running a crackle map or doesn’t get warmed up and cooled down properly it can happen.
