Hahah I've been driving with Mod X since I filmed this video and I have to say, I absolutely love it and definitely wont be going down to the lower map. Thank you so much for watching the video as well, I truly appreciate your support, I'm so keen to keep tuning the XR5 as well and eventually run it on Mod XRS. I'll definitely keep you guys posted with how it goes, and I'm excited to see some of the clips from my video on your socials, I follow both your Instagram and Facebook page so I'll be keeping an eye out. Hope you and the team at Dreamscience are doing well and have an amazing weekend 😄.
Can't wait to see the reaction when you jump from a stage 3 xr5 to a 400wkw xr6t 😉 Glad to see you finally got the car tuned and are enjoying it, keen for you to come to Sydney 🔥
Thanks bro I’m so happy with it finally being tuned, I honestly think the next big car I’ll get will be a V8 of some sort but you never know. So keen to take it to Sydney for a trip 🤙🏼
Loved the video mate! Glad you and your dad have a bond over the car as well. I have the MK3 ST estate with MSD miltimaps and my daughter (9) is just showing an interest in cars, fun time 😊 Keep up the good work from your new subscriber in Scotland 🇬🇧
Cheers mate, we definitely love our cars 🙌🏼 That's awesome the MK3 ST Estate is a lovely looking and sounding car, and that's great to hear would be a very fun time having your daughter showing an interest in cars with you as well 😄 Thank you for subscribing Stevie, I appreciate you following along with my channel and your kind words. Cool to now know I have a viewer all the way over in Scotland 😆
Hey Lachlan, Great Video, the performance jump has certaily put a smile on your face. You jumped right in there with DSCI, thought you would have started off with the milder Performance + tune first. There is a big difference between Performance + & DSCI. You should try loading Mod-C and see what you think of that one, don't worry, you won't be going backwards ... 😏 Bet your Dad loves getting a drive of your XR5, would have bought back fun memories for him. Regarding your comments about CV joints at the start of your video, The factory Ford ones are the strongest and most reliable ones, so don't be scared there. Obviously don't side step the cluch at 5000 rpm, but you know what I mean. 🤪
Thanks Alan and it sure did, I've been driving with it all week and I'm loving it, I was going to start off with Performance + first but thought why not try the DSCI and then go straight to Mod X to truly see the difference between the two of them. Dad definitely enjoyed taking the car for a spin and seeing how capable they are at pushing power, I didn't know that the factory Ford ones were the strongest so I'll keep that in mind, glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate you leaving a comment 😄
I think they only care if it's excessive swearing. But I wouldn't worry about it haha. Loved the video also and now I want to tune my car even more or get a focus xr5 at this point lol.@@TheGearChange
Thank you so much mate, I’m glad you enjoyed the video, I’ll be getting it to Stage 3 this year as well for sure. And yes original paint and I am the third owner of the car, was completely stock when I bought it and I’ve been modifying it ever since 😄
@@TheGearChange The original injectors have 4 holes. The bigger ones have 10. Meaning a better fuel burn with the benefit of better fuel economy OFF boost. Did a 220 km open road trip sitting on 110 and a half a hr running around town and used 16 liters !! The car read between 6 to 7 liters per 100km.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the video, and the difference between each tune and stock was amazing. I’ve been dailying the Mod X (Stage 2) and I love it 😆
Nice video and Well done!!! Let me ask you (since I might have missed some of your videos). Did you do any hardware changes before getting it ready for stage2? Such as stage 2 compatible intercooler, bigger downpipe, High flow exhaust, Cold Air intake.....etc. ? My XR5 is fully Stage 3 ready but I don't go above stage 1 due to fear that I might end up cracking a cylinder 😄 I hope your cooling system is in tip top order and it does not lose any pressure even a small amount.
Thanks so much for watching the video and leaving a comment as well mate. I had installed a stage 2 intercooler from OEM Denied, had the Empire Performance Exhaust with the high flow cat and cold air intake all installed prior to purchasing and loading up each of the tunes in this video so the car would be running perfectly. Since the video was posted I've been running Dreamscience Mod X and have been loving it, the power delivery is phenomenal and the power itself is very manageable for a daily driven hot hatch. I regularly go over the oil and coolant levels on the car and am quite meticulous with how I look after it so I'll be keeping an eye on everything to make sure the car is running and feeling its best 😄
What’s the deal with ya taillights mate? In the thumbnail they look different to the actual video. I’ve got a slight yellow tint in my lights, so might upgrade, got any advice?
