I've watched quite a few videos of the LS4s in the impala/monte and GXP and man, they all sound very raspy. Almost 4 cylinder-ish. I know this is likely because of the recording capability and they probably sound great in person, but my god, on camera, they sound reaaaaally quite bad for an LS engine.
The L67 sounded decent, but the LS4..... I don't know if its the spintech mufflers, dod or what, but that was the worst sounding v8 I have ever heard no-offense. It literally sounds like a rusty muffler on an '89 Beretta GT
Think this is the first time I've ever said this but the v6 sounds better. The spintech mufflers sound horrible. Should've just done a simple muffler delete.
What the f*** did you do to that Monte Carlo SS. That V8 sounds like s***. I own the Dale jr. Supercharged car and an 07 black SS and mine has the cat back that sounds way better than that s***.
+Heartless Hokage I don't remember exactly, but glasspacks are cheap and a shop just welded pipe in place of the mufflers. Probably no more than $200 or so.
The intimidator exhaust sounds the best.
i wanna put 06 monte trunk & spoiler on my 05 no key hole & spoiler look slick
You can hear the bearings in the supercharger on the regal at the end lol. I hear that’s a big problem with the supercharged 3.8
sounds really good man
thanks
Why does it say Intimidator on the back is that a model or a package?
Kind of both really. It's an Intimidator edition monte carlo
AMG or BUST yes intimidator package I have one also check it out
Sound like the Regal's A/c compressor need to be replaced soon before it locks up and the belt snaps...
How many inches long is the glass pack to be a perfect fit replacement for the resonator?
not sure off the top of my head. I want to say 18 inch
Such a sick video and Greta cars that v6 sounds so nice for a v6 but not a chance with v8.
The Montes are sounding good. That was a weak burnout from the guy in the regal haha.
thanks, and yea lol but it was amusing
What kind of glasspack?
+Andrew Fisher i believe its a cherry bomb
how much did that all run you for the 2004 monte carlo or did you do it yourself?

EDIS Official ™ Although I own an 07 Monte (LS Not SS) and I'm a huge fan of LS4 engines it does seem that they sound raspy on camera for sure

+digitalgpbandit Lol the spintechs are very crackly, he switched a while ago to slp loudmouth 1's

Kyle Koewler was thinking the same thing
didn't know a 5.3 was a v6
Its a V8
Keane Maher I was being sarcastic......that car doesn't have a 5.3 that's not what they sound like there both v6
2006 and 2007 is v8s
@@matt_wrx4775 no one is a v8

Rev limiter really kills it, Sounds better driving.
