I do like them, but I have a slight worry about heavy weather: massive expanse of window - how strong are they? Twin rudders- connected together so if you lose one you lose both, or separated? Sail drive…. Always worried, but I see there is a bit of a skeg to protect it. Do you happen to know what the AVS is? Be interested in your view of being caught in a serious blow mid-ocean in this.
The Capsize Screening Formula: is 1.89 and the Comfort Ratio: is 30.19 Stats show anything below 2.0 is rated very good and stable for a blue water sailboat. We are looking to have a test sail in 2023 sometime when it can be arranged but we want to take the boat out in hard conditions to see what she can really handle. All our test sails will be uploaded to the new Patreon page next year when it is finalised so keep an eye out for that. Hope that this helped?
What a nice boat☝️ There is a new Ovni 370 that is out on the market. How would you compare the two in terms of long-distance cruising and in colder climates?
I would take the Allures, better build quality inside and out. I will make a comparison video this September at the La Rochelle boat show, as they are two very different sailboats, even though their idea or purpose is similar. The only sad thing is Allures is no longer producing the 40.9.
No it’s not but they are stopping making the 40, and just doing the 45.9 and 51.9, maybe a 60. I test sails both ten days ago so a review on both will be up on UA-cam over the next few weeks. Hope that helps?
Some of the guys who saw the aluminum welds on the Garcia said they looked amateurish. I would imagine the welds on the Allures are the same, since it's same company
@@MS-ji6oj Not really; some of these boats are owner owned, so if prepare work has been done like on the Garcia, it was an independent company, so welds weren't as good.
You are right, but comparing the two boats on the forward cabin size or the fact they are both aluminium will do neither justice. They have different hull forms and different build quality inside and out. The sad thing, though, is Allures are no longer producing the 40.9.
When my Patreon is up and running in the new year you can subscribe there and watch full in-depth reviews of all the systems, how the sailboats handle under sail, etc and so much more. UA-cam is a great platform to get a quick overview out there for everyone. Hope that helps?
@@SVTONICBoatWives because minimalist interior design is the same as being cheaply built to them. unless it designed for a Russian Oligarch, Middle East Sheikh or a 68-year-old NY hedge fund manager it's just not very impressive. 🤣
I really enjoy watching your channel
Thank you I am glad as I enjoy making these videos;) Thank you for watching.
Of all of them, which for a family of 4? Bulletproof for northern latitudes. Garcia?
Ether one, but if you want added security, it would be the Garcia.
At 0:20 sec you mention a boat in the background, RM2?
Bravo pour la sobriété!!!
J’adore ton channel!
Merci 😊
Salut, merci de votre message et de votre soutien, nous sommes ravis que la chaîne vous plaît!

Not a big monohull fan but that workshop should be featured in more yachts.
Totaly agree about the workshop it would be great to see them on a lot more sailboats, even cats;)
Is the boat heavy?

Loving this boat!
I know you do but do you still prefer the Neel 43?
Be fun if you can get on an Ovni as well. Great review, love the channel!
We would love to get a look at an Onvi sometime. thank you for watching;)

Is Alubat a better deal?

Not really do justices to these yachts so much more to them than what she going on about.

OK
Just another IKEA/Benatau looking boat. I'm not impressed
What makes you think it is another Ikea boat?
