  • Video of our visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We visited this historically preserved tourist attraction on November 16, 2023 and it was above 90 degrees F and very humid. But it was educational to see up close how the Viet Cong "tunnel rats" dealt with guerilla warfare conditions (and how the courageous American soldiers dealt with it as well) during the war years. Among the Vietnamese it's known as the "American War" and the perspective is told (of course) from their viewpoint as defenders of their homeland against American (and previously French) invaders. This is a must visit for any student of history if you travel to this beautiful country.

Most people these days don't realize what others have suffered through. Interesting video 😊.

Shannonurban1513, I highly reccommend the Ken Burns Vietnam documentary if you haven't seen it. Thank you for watching as always!

Question is did you hit the target?

No way could I squeeze into that tiny little hole in the ground. Nor would I try. A friend of ours was a tunnel rat in Vietnam. He wouldn't talk about it much.

One of my former co-workers and friends at the PO was a Vietnam vet. He was exposed to agent orange unfortunately and was convinced the health problems he suffered from later in life were the result of his having been exposed. Thank you for watching!
