Yeah, I had a fear of heights from roller coasters and I was expecting flying was going to be worse 😅
don't worry if your scared of flying. hopefully what I'm about to say will make you less scared of flying. 1stly planes undergo a lot of safety checks and procedures and maintenance to ensure the safety of you and the plane. the incidence that happened a few days ago are just some minor incidents and usually if its Boeings fault usually they will have to get all the airliners that have the same type of airplane and undergo different checks and install new systems to make it safer. a plane can also fly with a few screws and bolts missing. usually this is to reduce weight and reduce drag. Secondly planes follow things called waypoints. if you look at a flight plan you'd probably say "oh why can't the plane take that shortcut instead of taking a longer path". usually this is because waypoints are close to airstrips or flat terrain surface, so if there is a emergency they can just quickly land. another thing is interior modelling being very dirty or things breaking apart. for this case you don't really need to worry to much as this is just a decoration to keep the interior good looking. if its missing usually the sound will increase as there is not as much things obstructing the sound. if you look inside cargo planes they usually will not put the interior decoration on to reduce weight and fuel. another thing is that you might see the plane kinda dirty with smudges of grease near thing wing. usually this is caused by the landing gears. when the plane is landing the sudden friction of the tires touching the runway will cause some of the tires to lose a bit of tread. during this process the oil from the wheel is then splattered onto the bottom area of the wing causing the smudging effect.

A person with a fear of heights should also be afraid if they look UP at the sky. Technically, instead of being called "a fear of heights" it should be called "a fear of being up high"
