@@Winterharbourmusic wow, first time I heard anyone said that. I always thought he's a very important part for Radiohead's sound. But people just brush him off
[Verse 1] I sucked the moon I spoke too soon And how much did it cost? I was dropped from moonbeams And sailed on shooting stars [Verse 2] Maybe you'll be president But know right from wrong Or in the flood you'll build an Ark And sail us to the moon [Outro] Sail us to the moon Sail to the moon
Any other composition in "rock" music as weird and sophisticated as this? I mean, where did the come up with these harmonies (or is it all Arvo Part)? I can't think of anything that sounds like that outro, maybe somewhere in the avant classical world....
it could be one of those metal pipes people put around the fingers to make strange sounds but I have no idea how a electric guitar works so you should proberly ignore me
Im glad it's not just me who sees the similarity. Have you seen Jonny and Thom cover Neil? There are some wonderful videos on here. Not always successful but that just shows how amazing Neil was. Is.
Over and over Ed O'Brien is the most brilliant unsung musician in Radiohead, his parts always elevate songs to the cosmos.
He’s my favourite guitarist of all time so yeah I think he’s brilliant. Just the sounds he gets are out of this world

Yes Ed is amazing out of this world but Jonny Greenwood is like god of music!
@@nickaglyc but everyone knows how good jg is. Ed’s contributions are very often overlooked. Two very different guitarists who together are magic
He sails them to the moon

It’s just goes with the style. It’s not an error.
Arrangement of this song is just emmense, Godlike.
One of Radiohead's most haunting yet beautiful songs.
And this hasn't been played in like 18 years why?
It's hard
This song is absolutely marvelous, a masterpiece!
Deep, Heavy song. good recording. Top 3 fav Radiohead songs.
[Verse 1]
I sucked the moon
I spoke too soon
And how much did it cost?
I was dropped from moonbeams
And sailed on shooting stars
[Verse 2]
Maybe you'll be president
But know right from wrong
Or in the flood you'll build an Ark
And sail us to the moon
[Outro]
Sail us to the moon

How does Ed make the guitar sound like that??
no, Ed doesn't use any reverb pedals. It's a special sustainer system inside his guitar plus a bunch of delay and modulation pedals
I spoke to a friend about it and said that there could be an organ pedal in there as well
the B9 came out in 2014
Strat with Fernandes Sustainer pickup system, delay, reverb and Digitech Whammy (1 oct up). Maybe compression or light overdrive too.
