Calibration of Tomahawk CNC with UCCNC

Using a 500mm digital readout and a touchprobe to calibrate the machine to within 0.01mm over 500mm on UCCNC

Does uccnc use the information to set the steps and is this to compensate for inaccuracies in ballscrew?
