  • In this video I head down to my local Tesla dealer to see the new Cyber Truck in person. Tesla has started deliveries of the long anticipated Cyber Truck, and the local dealer by by my house was advertising on the radio that they had one to look at. So I took the opportunity to go see this interesting vehicle in person, and see if it would make the ultimate lawn care business truck!

Let me know in the comments below what you think of the New Tesla Cyber Truck now that they are finally starting to hit the streets. Do you think this would make a good vehicle for a lawn care business?

I love that truck... I'd still slap a hitch on it and pull a trailer and mowers 😂

Certainly would be good for advertising! It’s definitely growing on me. Especially now that I’ve seen it in person. Thanks for watching.

It pulls 10k which is solid but the payload is only 1500 lbs.
Those new Chevy Silverado EV looks way more robust. Totally out of my price range though lol

Yes the new Silverado EV’s do look very nice. I saw one at the Equip Expo that was on display. I tried to get the GM rep to come on camera and talk about the truck’s capabilities but they were not interested.

I hate to say it but your duramax looks way better!😊

😂 The Cyber Truck is definitely a controversial design. I get it from a marketing standpoint. Gets everyone talking. But that doesn’t necessarily put bums in seats. Especially with actual truck owners. With that being said I’m sure they will be able to sell as many as they can manage to produce. After all who doesn’t need a vehicle with bulletproof glass and body panels. 😂 Thanks for watching Tony.

I'm not really a tech guy, but I always follow trends and I'm also very frugal lol.
One thing with technology is that it's always WAYYYYY more expensive when it first drops, then over time things drastically fall in price.
Usually it's best to wait 5 years minimum to get a much better price on things.
I will say I'm a fan of electric outdoor power equipment for the simple fact there is little to no down time for repairs. And very little maintenance .
Looking to get a used 36 battery commercial walk behind once the prices come down and I can buy one used.
Looking forward to the winter❄️ interview series !

Good points. I’m frugal as well. 😂 That’s why I still have my truck for so many years. As much as I’d like to have fancy new things, I like the money in my bank account better. 😂 Glad you enjoy the interview episodes. First one drops this Tuesday. Thanks for watching.

Looks pretty sick. I'd use that in my company but don't think my wife would let me get it. 😂

Originally I did not like it when it was first announced. I had waited for the unveiling and watched the event online and was shocked that this is what they were doing for a truck. Over the past few years it’s kinda grown on me and now seeing it in person it is actually pretty cool. I think it would be neat especially if you ran all electric lawn care equipment as well. Thanks for watching.

@@LawnCareBusinessSuccess yea i originally had a similar first reaction. I would love to go all electric. I'm excited to get into the Kress stuff. Enjoy your product reviews.

@@aetiffanyNice! Glad you enjoy the videos. Yes the Kress lawn equipment is like the Tesla of tools. Their battery technology is so advanced.

Doesn't appear to be much of a truck, but can be used for picking up Soft Blondes.

It’s definitely a controversial design. I’ll give you that. I think that was my biggest issue with it when I first saw it. I mean I’m a bit of a tech geek and actually like electric cars and tools etc. But if they as a car company say that electric cars are needed to save the planet from global warming, and that trucks and SUVs are the biggest offenders. Then why make a design that the average truck person will not like or cannot use for real truck stuff to have the biggest adoption and biggest impact. Thanks for watching.

Not enough cheesy chrome plastic, too masculine? How doesn't it "appear to be much of a truck"? It makes all other PUs look like flimsy grandma's grocery getters.

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess

@@MrbfgrayI think it’s because the true purpose of trucks are about utility and putting them to work and not the looks. The bed on this is tiny and the payload is low. You’re not hauling stuff in the back, or mounting racks for different work purposes like ladders, etc. You can tow with it, but even then it’s only 10,000lb capacity. Even GMs 2.8L turbo 4cyl gas engines that they put in silverados and Sierras can tow that much. I’m a huge Tesla fan. I had heard rumours of a pick up truck years ago and when they finally unveiled it 4 years ago I watched it live online in anticipation, but I found myself so disappointed because it was not a work truck. It’s a truck for people who don’t actually need a truck. Bullet proof glass and side panels? Seriously? Like I said previously the design is growing on me and I think it would still be good for say pulling a trailer in an all electric lawn care business. I think it could be an asset in that scenario as it would draw attention to your business and being electric would complete the package if your using all battery tools. Thanks for watching.

@@LawnCareBusinessSuccess Appreciate your take but, tiny bed? Granted the tailgate needs to be down to accommodate 4X8 sheets, a common metric, it can haul such. I take it you have little use for 2nd row of seats but don't forget it has substantial volume for storage behind front seats when rear seats are folded and decent size fronk. (unfortunately not Ford size tho)
As for the load cap--it'll handle considerably more than they claim (just my speculation) and not show it, the suspension will adapt to keep it level.
Doesn't have bullet proof glass, too heavy and expensive, "shatter proof glass" they claim. Tend to agree about the heavy skin but it'd be nice that it won't dent if you bang a 4X4 into it, no? Won't rust, will last indefinitely.
Naturally the power outlets would be very useful for you.
