I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.
Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.
I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock.
My thoughts are my own and are not representative of everyone who currently works, or has worked at Tesla.

The black color actually looks very nice too. This is a first time I see Tesla made a perfect alignment on the exterior panels. The panel look perfect straight without warping.
Probably cause its a single piece in one go
Flash back to the Model S, 3, X, Y and look at the panel gaps for their release. They look like that first Lexus ad where they rolled ball bearings along all of the baps. Look at a current tesla production version now. This flat panel cybertruck will not be nearly as forgiving and the frunk may be too small to hold your disappointment for you when you see the production version. Feel free to call me out when the production versions come out and I'll admint I was wrong but based on current production models, I feel this will not go well.
The black makes it look stealthy.

There are auto wrap shops all over the world salivating to wrap this truck. Personally I would wrap mine in Porsche's dark blue metallic (dunkelblau).

I recommend against ICE-ing superchargers. It's just a matter of time before one of these shows up with a tow rope, and you end up in some funny place with bald spots on your tires.
This car is a clean CANVAS. The accessories possibilities is endless. Can't wait for people to go crazy: LED minitvs, snow plows etc.

It's pretty awesome for Tesla to have their crash test vehicles on display. The safety features are likely a bit overlooked but it could save a lot of lives. I would feel very safe in this on the road.

There are a few issues with this vehicle. 1) It’s too large to fit into a regular size house garage. The doors won’t even open. 2) It’s too large for most parking spaces. 3) Due to the construction costs, the annual insurance will be several thousand. 4) Any minor repairs will cost thousands due to the large panels and lack of parts.
That's true for any full-size pickup truck.
I wonder how fast that collision test vehicle was going?
NHTSA standard is 35mph frontal, 35mph side.

The Crash Test vehicles are what sell me on this amazing truck. NO other vehicle has that bullet protection. Police Stations and military should be lining up for it.

This is actually the first time in my life not only I would not feel silly to buy a pickup, but one that I really crave. That cyberpunk vibe has been so perfectly executed.
This thing looks so low effort to me, it's jarring to see people like it. The cars in the game have more going on to give them character.
The world appreciates new things regardless of the effort. I this not the only truck in the world that looks different? That is the marketing strategy behind it.

Yeah. It's still a new vehicle, even to Elon and new owners.
I think the driver was still in drive and keeps the doors locked. They needed to put it in park or unlock the door on the main screen
They were just locked. The driver needed to unlock them.
Use a polarizing filter, it will greatly reduce the glare on the window glass.

Are there AC vents located in the center that direct airflow towards the back seats?
I saw vents under the front seats facing the rear seats. But if this is true, there is no AC? Who the heck would even buy this?

As a big fan of Tesla and the Cyber Truck I was disappointed..... The first was with range...They should be able to get this closer to 500 miles by now. Secondly no one really cares about 0-60 times, especially not for an additional ten grand. Finally and most importantly is the price. Forget the rear wheel drive or the 100 grand tri-motor. It's the dual motor at $79,000. Tesla had a real chance to shock the world here and they whiffed. Should have been $57,500. Want to change the world, eat some profits....
It will be very expensive to produce and they are way overdue and that costs money.
Much as everyone seems to think that Tesla somehow operate differently to other companies they really don't imo.
Hype and fanboys can only get you so far.

Looks like a design pulled from a 70's TV show called Logan's Run. It looks worse up close than it did from a distance. Definitely an ultra-niche vehicle

I remember seeing the company that makes the camp gear for the CyberTruck at the Tesla Takeover in San Luis in July, I would love to camp in the truck!! Outlets and all make it so functional to even live in..just saying...lol

@woolychewbakker5277 they won't be bullet proof though. Also, I'm sure the cybertruck can quickly catch up, a couple bumps of the exoskeleton and that ICE car should be off course. Cybertrucks will give more protection for the officers. In a shootout, folks in the cybertruck will have more likely hood to survive.

Notice none of the side glass is broken in any crash test. Thats impressive and the windshield still in tact in the head on collision. Finally a well engineered product worthy of buying.

Looking more and more real. Thanks Farzad. I can see a bit of downside now that they're being delivered. It's so totally utilitarian, but it's so cool. Beating the Porsche 911 while towing a 911 will go viral. That's the kind of promotion I was hoping for. You don't need an ad agency when you can do that.
It's probably been said but...when they shattered the windows in 2019 they were throwing a large steel ball bearing, today it was a baseball. Of course what worries me is: Okay, I get my Cybertruck and then every moron with a rock or a gun wants to see for himself. "Here, hold my beer. Look, it's not like I can hurt it...." Maybe they'll get that out of their systems by the time my number comes up. Then again it seemed like every other day some moron would 'roll coal' on my Prius. Of course I thought my Model Y would get it even worse. But three years? Only twice that I really remember as clearly intentional.
And of course the share price dropped. Typical. I still have not lost faith that inevitably we'll do great (And I'm not complaining. I've still got almost all my 2020 gains locked in.) Peace.

Looks good. I went out and bought a Ford F-150 Lightning because I grew tired of waiting on the cybertruck. I must say after seeing this video I’m happy with my decision. Though it looks good. Ford might be the winner for electric trucks
