Hype truck!
The Cybertruck will be the world's easiest vehicle to vinyl wrap.
I agree 100%.. Gonna tattoo mine.. sandblasting, polishing and brushing... ordered 2 for mobile welding and fabrication 👍
For people who are way down the list and have to wait a few years, you will benefit from any improvements made down the line which every vehicle goes through.
Shit. Even elon said he wouldn't buy their 1st model. Can't wait to own one
Is that supposed to cheer them up? The cybertruck was used as a free money generator for musk years ago. Some of those people will have died by the time this ugly wedge gets mass produced… or they won’t be able to afford it because as usual Musk lied about the entry level price
I wouldn't want that ugly vehicle. The only taste people have is what's in their mouth
Great idea getting the interviews. Very cool to hear all of their impressions.
It looks like a small child designed it for a sci fi B movie!!!
Like the fact you interviewed people, strong work my friend. Cheers!
Great video! Great to see real people express their opinions on it, in person. A breath of fresh air from all the internet detractors who spread hate everywhere.
Man, this thing will turn heads for quite a while due to the unique design. I didn't like it at first, but now that look is growing on me, and many of the folks you interviewed as well.
did not like the looks at all, but it has grown on me too and never thought that would happen. Wish Elon all the best with his projects....
I think a lot of haters will eventually feel the same way as you... They will come around
I think it's super cool that people over there are much more open to innovation. Here in Europe, everyone is just nagging and badmouthing. I need to travel to the USA sometime. Greetings from Switzerland ✌️
I live in california so there are a million teslas everywhere you look.
This video does not represent most Americans. It benefits from a quiet, exclusive, early presentation of the Cybertruck so only people who are looking forward to seeing the vehicle are captured in the interview right now. Later on.... as Cybertrucks hit the road... the "nagging and badmouthing" will likely increase...
Yes, I am in Southern California, and I am flanked by Teslas every day when I am at a stoplight.
Love it.
When you apply a color tinted transparent film over a shiny metal surface, you get an amazing, anodized effect. I'll be surprised if someone doesn't figure this out, we should see some examples of this IF someone makes transparent colored wrap.
Most auto supply stores sell a paint that is transparent with colors, its called anodizing paint, spray that on both sides of aluminum foil to see the effect I'm talking about.
Nothing like a car to match your kitchen appliances 🎉
Loved seeing and hearing peoples reactions.
I put my cyber truck order in as soon as they announced it - I am soooo looking forward to taking delivery, hopefully in ‘24 - I have a model Y now and that car is hands down the very best vehicle I have ever driven, so damn smooth & quick - the cyber truck looks like it could hold up 20+ years - I am 62 now, so I am thinking it would be something I will use and then hand down after I switch back to our original organic state - living in the northeast, I would be looking forward to snow storms and probably stop ever shoveling snow off my driveway, as this beast would make that requirement obsolete - ha! Life is Good
I just retired, my hope is this is my first and last new vehicle purchase. I live on a small farm. Cybertruck will get dirty, dusty and see real truck work. Hoping I get all of Tesla's innovations and lessons learned within this beast. Trimotor here I come.
@@bobbybishop5662At 62 it's cool he's not stuck in his ways. He got rewarded with the best vehicle he's owned, with the Model Y. So it's smart to go with the brand again.
Love that everyone you interviewed was serious about this.
Brian that was well done to hang out and get everyone's opinion on the Cyber Truck.
Looking underneath was cool to see as well, looks sleek and flat for sure.
I have a early reservation and I hope to get mine soon if the price is not over $80k
Take it easy man.
Casey
Good example of just how many people will be cancelling their reservations when the price comes out.
@@meatpunch9144 Yea I hate it but I just paid off our Model Y and it was $1000 month note at 55k loan with 4.5% interest.
The CT would be like buying a S for 1500$ a month.... Think a Plaid is $2K a month!
I mean I could almost cover 800$ a month in gas savings because I'm going to use as a work truck.
So we will see how it goes I just hope for everyone its not over 80K!
@@TeslaRebuildersProbably will start around $65k imo, but nobody really knows. We will find out soon.
For me... The HUBCAPS are the BEST FEATURE! I am 50 yrs old, and I remember the movie "Damnation Alley" when I was 9 yrs old and these wheels AND the design remind me of the apocalyptic vehicles that were transporting the survivors.
Until Tesla came along hardly anyone ever spoke about panel gaps on cars.😂
Obviously that panel gaps talk is the work of threatened idle haters who had nothing to clutch on so they came up with "panel gaps". Made them sound sophisticated, don't you think so?
That's because all the other car companies delivered half decent panel gaps - so there wasn't anything to talk about :D.
It would have been bizarre if few showroom CT's would have had panel gap issues - that is too much even for a billionaire :D Real test is when first 100 000 are delivered and actually on the road/off-road. It would be interesting to see CT after 5 yeast on actual world off-road use, sadly most of them probably will be neatly parked in mall parking lot - like most of today's off-road cars...
I'll take panel gaps (which are no longer a problem), to drive the safest car in the world, just to name one thing.
What I'm really looking forward to is seeing the crazy designs people are going to create to make their Cybertruck unique.
No doubt that Cybertruck will be one of the most customized vehicles of all time.
Feel like thats going to be a big part of the culture. It just screams blank canvas
GREAT video. Didn’t know what to expect but this format is incredible. Genuine, impromptu opinions 🤝
I think it could end up being a popular vehicle in the modding/ customizing community, it’s a blank slate.
it needs to be road legal first in many places..
i doubt it, tesla owners are normally some of the most borring people when it comes costumizing..
the coollest tesla there is, is the one they scrapped everything from to break records
the more you add the more borring they get
@@Hansen710 I’m pretty confident it is road legal.
The cyber truck is one of the most radical (not boring) production vehicle designs Im aware of. People purchasing something radical are unlikely to be boring.
You probably don’t see much modification to Teslas because there isn’t really anything to improve upon, they already outperform most production vehicles.
Great meeting you!! Thanks for adding me in the interviews!
Gotta say, I'm pleasantly surprised how good the panels look. I doubted that this vehicle would ever look this well put together.
Production truck won't be that clean. Show vehicles are prepped to be shown .
They would of spent ages on this one to get it perfect. Production ones will be shit house..
@@hobo1704 ya most people have no idea what it takes . People hear Stainless steel and assume it's super hard. Some grades are very hard but you don't bend body panels from the harder grades. Body panels are formed from annealed sheets which is a softening process to make it bendable . I can promise you that skin is pretty easily scratched.
If I remember correctly the wiper is actually 2 standard size wipers on one bracket, so you should be able to buy them anywhere.
If the Cybertruck was plopped down on a random road and there was no hype and no one knew where it came from, it would be treated as an alien vehicle...like "The Day The Earth Stood Still" I can see Gort driving this. Klaatu Barada Nikto.
Tesla crushed it. Stainless looks great. Fit and finish are superb. I work in the food industry where we build everything out of stainless, so I knew it was possible, but to do it at pace on an assembly line is next level. I’m sure the production ramp still has plenty of bugs to work out, but this thing rocks. Loved your impromtu interviews!!
This looks like a long bloated truck that someone drew in 2nd grade bruh. The only people that will get this wear an apple watch
Just go buy yourself a DMC DeLorean you will be much happier in the long run.
The wrap market for the cyber truck is going to be huge
I'll say at least 80% of the people who have the $$$ to buy the truck will have it wrapped. Yup, that's huge.
@@davidpalmer7175True, people will want to differentiate their truck, cause there's no colors.
I ordered 2 for mobile welding and fabrication.. my biggest concern is having to explain what it is multiple times a day 🤣
I'm hoping I can use V2G with mine. I have solar and will have a house battery soon. This will be the ultimate backup power imo. Awesome remote power anywhere needed - jobsites!
I have one in order for use as a filming platform, smooth, no noise & power source , and no I've never cared for apple watches, I have driven Ev's for 12 years now .
I've seen a bunch of these in the wild here in the Bay Area. Might need to order one of these as I live in Oakland. I could do bullet proof testing for Tesla and I could finally honk at people once again.
As a Canadian, one thing I noticed: Every American in this video all 'looks good'. They look healthy, strong, friendly.
A total departure from Canucks. I know I'm generalizing, but it's the first thing I noticed watching the interviews in this video. Ironically, I found that more interesting than the Cybertruck!
If you want a little car with your windshield wiper, this is the vehicle for you 😂
love the over view that you have shown us...thanks!
I think the style will stand the test of time. Like the Lamborghini! Or the Honda ridgeline, people hated that design at first, but it was one of the greatest truck designs of all time. The utility of it is amazing.
Tesla and Lamborghini in the same sentience when it comes to style. 😂😂Congrats somehow you did it. 👍
If you're still in love with the look of the Back to the Future DeLorean car, then the Cybertruck should appeal to you in the same aspect.
Thanks for taking the time to make this! I’ll probably take a road trip this weekend👍🏼
Dude, I know that you're just passing by. But give i1Tesla his long overdue 100K button. It will only take you a second of your time. He deserves it.
Thanks for doing this. Very interesting to hear from people. 👍
looks far better in person than on videos. saw the prototype at peterson. its smaller than i expected just wished it were still a 6 seater.
The is THE BEST video of this BEAUTIFUL VEHICLE I’ve seen !
Thanks SO much !!!!
Thanks for all your hard work ❤
It looks like something from the late 80s or early 90s. When you asked someone what a futuristic car would look like, this is very similar.
I wish I was closer to Charlotte to see it in person, maybe we'll get one in Jacksonville, Fl where the staff will be tired seeing me sitting there drooling all over it. As an old lady, I don't have any use for trucks but can't wait till I get my CyberTruck! Thank you so much for the video, I'll be watching it over and over every day.
Need one up here in Richmond Virginia!
@@ldelcors - LoL... I meant for the showroom!! I live right between both showrooms. The one in Richmond and the one in Norfolk so either one will do for me.
Its nice listening to people that know about cars talk about the Cybertruck.
The only thing i wish was different is the windshield wiper. Wish it had two hidden under the hood. Don’t like how it rests across the windshield when not in use.
@deangelos9409
Yea..
Should have been telescopic and rest under the hood and out of sight.
304L SS is the alloy closest to what Tesla and SpaceX uses. This is the same alloy that covers the gateway arch in St Louis. If curious about how it will handle the elements just review photos of the 60 year old gateway arch. It is a bit frustrating to hear "cold rolled steel". Stainless Steel (300 series) is mostly non-magnetic and has Chromium and Nickel which provides significant corrosion resistance. Steel would rust in a few days.
As a TSLA holder, I test drove a Y about 10 days ago, and they said there would be a Cybertruck by the end of the month...and I really wasn't sure I believed it. Damn, I just wanna hug that beast!!🔥 ❤🔥🔥
"As a TSLA holder" - who GAF and why did you feel the need to disclose you hold shares of the company? It's a publicly traded company, any dummy can own shares so no need to announce it.
@@meatpunch9144 Exactly, I see their stock holders are just as narcissistic as their drivers.
@@Vin496 funny thing is this lady isn't even a Tesla owner, she just test drove the thing, but at least she let us know she owns 2 shares of TSLA worth a little under $500!
The most beautiful car ever in my eyes!
What makes the design timeless of the CT is that the design is extremely functional. The triangle profile and the thick sheets of steel (the exoskeleton) is made to make it strong enough for massive hauling and chassis flex with high loads in the bed… there is nothing gimmick-y about the design (apart from the removable hub caps) 🤤
😂😂Nothing gimmicky. Did you say that with a straight face. The whole thing is a gimmick.
Umm no lolz, it can't haul shit, these things go have a hard time rolling over a curb.. like not joking, there are so many videos of this turd trying to offroad and failing.
Thx! I made it there yesterday!
I can't wait to drive one & get mine.
beautiful, I was a sceptic about the shape and looks but im starting to love it
Great video. Consistent feedback on this and other videos is the CT looks so much better in person. That is why the CT will be a big hit.
Everyone was commenting on its looks but no one mentioned its suitability, or more correctly its lack thereof, for use as a truck. It is a truck that is useless as a truck, a bold design choice to be sure.
@@AldoVanucci1966 and its main problem with being used as a practical truck is.. ? the triangular side walls of the bed?
@@axiomic That's part of it, you can't reach the back of the bed. Additionally it can't use a camper to to carry large thing out of the weather, it can't carry a sheet of plywood, it can't fit a bed mounted box for dirty stuff and as the bed gets banged up it can't be lifted off and replaced. Whatever its qualities as an EV first and foremost it must be practicable as a truck.
Won't get one without the ice maker and flat top stove accessories 🤣
Honestly it looks like there should be an ice maker on the door panel.
It's the coolest fridge on wheels I've ever seen.
We have one here in Tampa at the international mall near the airport.
Recognising that the visitors represent a very narrow selection of Americans, I was impressed with the candid comments and genuine enthusiasm. I found it interesting that no one mentioned range or towing capacity, rather were more interested in advertising potential, modifications or practical aspects of ownership. I haven't been a fan myself but it does look a lot better in the many up-close views shown in this video.
Wow, I'm headed to Charlotte tomorrow!
@@i1Tesla Cybertruck!!! I can't wait til they start sign ups for test drives.
This is definitely the future... Still missing and heads up display.. definitely no problems with corrosion with stainless steel, it's going to last a long time.....
If you’re talking about the future, why are you talking about heads up displays Tesla is close to V2 full self driving the whole point is you’re not gonna drive your own vehicle anymore the moment that happens what the hell do you need a heads up display for Tesla will be stupid to spend the extra money to put heads up displays their whole ethos is the simplest design possible to produce them as fast as possible
This design is far from the future bruh it's super long and bloated only people that wear apple watches want this
@@G82Watts ignorant take, I live in Texas and know lots of people that want this truck. Btw if you actually pay attention in the video this show room is in NORTH CAROLINA and these people are loving it in person. In case you didn’t know NC is NOT California and the type of people you are trying to describe. Plus everyone and I mean everyone even people that were on the fence about how the cybertruck looks thinks it’s 100X better in person that means that once they are driving around for all to see demand will only increase
The BEST marketing tool ever.
Every single one a moving billboard that screams Tesla.
Genius
How will it hold up? Have you ever seen a DeLorean they're old and they hold up great.
People probably take great care of the DeLoreans and drive them less frequently though.
So cool to see people excited about the Cybertruck. I got my reservation about a month after they opened.
Been preaching it to people for years.
Exciting that it is here, in Charlotte. Cant wait for the full details on Nov 30
I almost rode out today to see it , cant wait for my order to get here.
@@i1Tesla just got back , still wish they had a long bed but I'll make it work. lol
I'm thinking that seam where the a-pillar meets the fender, if you could fill the seam with like some silicone or something to make it level, then you could just wrap over it as if it were not there at all, and it would come out looking better since the fender would just flow seamlessly (no pun intended) into the a-pillar.
Cheers! I'm going to one in Chicago next week! To see it super excited 😊
Looks like an insurance nightmare. Expensive windshield, impossible panel replacement, etc. I do like that it looks super weird and different.
Apparently the whole front end is just 18 total parts. Panels, hood, frame etc. I think it will be cheaper to repair minor crashes.
Thanks!
My daughter designed the CT using only a pencil and a ruler. She was 5 years old when achieving this masterpiece: only clean and sharp lines. She is now 9 and has been hired by Porsche.
Awesome video! Going to the event on the 30th!
It looks like a trainee fabricator built it.
that overhead shot at 2Min was awesome
Is there any plywood left that the lumberyard after building this ?
I’m surprised Atlanta still doesn’t have one but, y’all peep the guy wearing Marques shoes? Pretty cool
I'll be surprised if it makes its way to Europe or the UK, not only for its size but the EU has issues with sharp edges from pedestrian safety perspective
Ironic that pedestrians in Europe are narrow with sharp edges whilst American pedestrians are fat and rounded.
@@MR_THINQ .. +1 .. Its a joke.. "A fool and his/her money are often parted....... "
The Cybertruck resembles a short Samurai sword to me which I like very much. Great video, thanks!!
The Chrysler PT Cruiser was a retro design, looking back at previous cars from the 1930s.
The Tesla Cybertruck is futuristic, like something from Bladerunner or a video game.
It is also slightly smaller than a Ford F-150 Lightning but has a larger bed and carries and tows more weight.❤
What's the deal with the Cybertruck's new battery longevity? Is it still set at a 100-thousand-mile warranty?
A DeLorean base design if you as me.
Saw a flat dark grey wrapped Siber Truck today here in Pasadena CA. Very nice.
I really like the clean look and the ruggedness of it. It's a pity that this car will not be coming to Norway for a while, but I would consider it if my wallet agrees when the time comes. That is really a car for the future. Tesla only has to make sure to have enough spare parts and get som cheap replacement batteries to put in when the original battery reaches the end of it's life. As we can see the price per kWh is coming down steadily, so we can hope the prices will drop on substitute solutions for the electric cars out there. I see it like this: As long as it works and does what I need it to do, I see no point in changing it. Just replace the battery and other worn out parts and keep on driving. It will still be cheaper to maintain than most other gas or diesel cars, in the long run.
Beastly and beautiful.
It will eat every other EV's lunch.
I love that you got the opinion of others.
Looks like a plywood built truck
For the Tesla haters it looks like anything negative. It looks like a truck that performance before anything else that everyone wants ❤
@@CaseyKCRichards Who hates Tesla? Technically, it is the most advanced electric car, but it was designed only and exclusively to be different. Some like it, some don't
I'd like to compliment your production quality, also your q&a with random onlookers is super, thanks for the video
Sorry Elon. Alot of hype for an ugly truck? What is it really good for?
Thanks for a great look around and taking on board people’s views. I’d just wrap the frunk hood in mat black… job done. I’ll be fascinated to see what the battery pack and range will be. I recon it will have a 180 kWh battery made of circa 2000 4680s with a 500 mile sticker range.
That truck is beautiful!
Love it!
I am in Tampa visiting my Fam for the holidays from Fay NC and they have it here at the Tampa Showroom. Must see in person. Looks amazing.
PT Cruiser still looks cool
I love that one meme with a guy that has a Driveway full of Pt Cruisers & the caption is I won't stop grinding until my drive looks like this 😤👊🔥
nice undercarriage view, it shows metal areas to place a jack to jack the truck up and change the tires...
Kind of like flypaper sucking people in to buy a CT, or one of the other Tesla's.
Way cool that they're already being sent to local showrooms!!! I love how everything is sealed up underneath!
people's reactions are very interesting.. great post!
Nope
In my view, the Cybertruck is an elegant vehicle, with its functional lines, practical build materials and such like. I cannot understand how such an excellent vehicle can attract so much criticism from people. Well done Tesla !
The worlds dumbest vehicle ever 😂
Looks amazing and bullet proof too
Saw one in traffic here in Austin few weeks ago. Absolutely amazing.
Amazingly ugly and weighs 4 tons.
