  • A newer class of glaucoma medications known as nitric oxide donators is represented by the brand name Vyzulta® (Latanoprostene Bunod). Nitric oxide is believed to both relax the trabecular meshwork and improve blood flow. How well does this class work to lower intraocular pressure (IOP)? Dr. Richardson discusses this and more.

    I was given monopost here in the Uk,was reacting to it. And my Doc here gave me again and eye lubricant by name Hypromellose and was told I can use that before I use the monopost. Am worried and scared I don’t loose my sight cause I was told to stop driving.

    Anyone with BLEPHARITIS taking Lantanoprost and Dorzolamide at bedtime? If so any severe dry eye reactions ?
    My Cornea specialist stepped in and changed my Lantanoprost to Zioptan preservative free.

    Unfortunately I can take no drops whatsoever. All spike my tinnitus condition that makes the ringing in my ears unbearable. Have you any experience with pressure lowering drops and tinnitus?

    Can you take glaucoma medications while going through posterior vitreous detachment

      Yes. There is no evidence of which I am aware that glaucoma medications negatively impact the natural process of vitreous detachment.

    I've been using it for 2 weeks. Easier on the eye than Travaprost. BUT, there's a terrible taste that lingers into the next day, even when blocking the tear duct for 30 seconds. Is there a laser treatment for glaucoma to be done once and for all?

      Unfortunately, all of the in-office laser treatments seem to wear off with time. Fortunately, with repeat treatments the pressure generally goes down again.

      I had CRVO in the left eye 6 yrs ago & the cause is “idiopathic”. Also, there is NO cure. Just trying to find help by natural ways if any. Std Process also has Occulotrophin PMG in case you want to include it in your future research.

    What do you think of a natural remedy by Standard Process called AC Carbamide for glaucoma?

    • @DrDavidDRichardsonMDSanMarino
      @DrDavidDRichardsonMDSanMarino  2 роки тому

      There is not a lot of research on this so I have not formed an opinion yet.

      @@DrDavidDRichardsonMDSanMarino have you looked into it yourself or is your medical kicense preventing you from researching natural remedies? When I seek help from my opthalmologist & retina specialist, they simply ignore my request or right out reject the natural remedy.

      I’m not sure what you are implying. A medical license does not prevent me from researching anything. Limited time, however, does. I will queue this topic for future research.

      I tried it. It's effect is like a diuretic which lowers blood pressure which isn't good for someone who already has low blood pressure.

      I am interested in AC Carbamide. After multiple surgeries my IOP still has not reached the optimal levels. Have you used AC Carbamide with any success?
