I went to see Dr. Richardson sometime in April after needing a second opinion I flew from Arizona and I was pretty fast getting into his office his staff was professional very small office but it’s very comfortable Dr. Richardson answered all my questions so I walked out of his office pretty confident in what I need to do it’s really worth seeing him awesome doctor will go and see him again in the future
Glad to hear that you enjoyed it enough to subscribe. You'll be pleased to know that I already have another in the process of being edited and should be posting it in the next few weeks.
How often does trabeculectomy fail? I had one 3 years ago and its a failure 😭. First i got a leak. Then after 3rd stitch was cut lost all pressure and i had to get gel injected in the office. Very painful. The after all that after atropine was stopped my iris moved up into surgery site. Pressure in eye was only marginally reduced while stitches were in place and then pressures were same as pre surgery. Currently my pupil is oval and portion of itis up in surgery site. Another doc said that if he goes in and tries to fix im going to get the same problems. Why would doctors perform this surgery with such high rates of failure. Have lost faith in eye docs😡😡🤬🤬🤬
@@eltoro3369 the vision in my eye with the surgery is not good. Would not be able to rely on that eye for functional purposes. Glaucoma and all the options suck. Ruined my life.
I had a goniotomy and it didn't work. Then I had SLT and it didn't work. Then I had a i-stent and it didn't work. My pressure went down from 40ties/30ties to low 20ties, but not enough. I tried Rhopressa. Horrible. Haha. Red bloodshot eyes.
What about the contact lens through which laser is directed? or did you mention this? My doctor is planning on doing this on both my eyes end of month. Thanks.
I have seen here on UA-cam a procedure know as SLT LASER OR SELECTIVE TRABECULOPLASTY AND FORMER HARVARD GRADUATE AS WELL. IS RECOMMENDED IT AS A 1ST LINE OF DEFENSE INSTEAD OF EYE DROPS. CAN YOU PLEASE ELABORATE ON THIS PROCEDURE? AMD HAVE YOU EVER PREFORMED IT ON YOUR PATIENTS ? IN OFFICE PROCEDURE TAKES ABOUT 5 TO 10 MINUTES IF IM NOT MISTAKEN
SLT is a very reasonable first-line treatment which I offer to nearly all of my newly diagnosed glaucoma patients. I’ve written about the various forms of laser trabeculoplasty here: new-glaucoma-treatments.com/introduction-to-laser-trabeculoplasty-lt/
hello Dr. David my name is norbu gyeltshen from Bhutan and i am here to get some good advice from Doctor regarding the trabeculotomy surgery if i happen to under such operation. so i am open angle gaucoma and my eye pressure rise up to 26 and 23 as of now. so shloud i undergo such operations or not.i would be grateful if Docotr kindly recommend on this issue.
I am due to get trabeculotomy here in the UK soon. I wouldn’t not make a decision based on youtube videos though, just add it all up and listen to your own eye doctor most of all.
