Yes! We need this to be a series!! Even non teachers can use these tips to organize their homes. I struggle with deep cabinets as well, and the pull out drawers aren’t an option for me. If you have lots of other ideas that could be a whole video in itself. Thank you for all of your organizing and tech videos, they are the best!
Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback Steph! 🥰 I'm so happy you enjoyed it and were able to get ideas even as a non-teacher. Deep cabinets are the worst and I totally understand that the pull out drawers aren't always an option. In that case, I usually recommend storing items in the back that aren't used very often and placing any items you're going to store in front of those items in bins so they can easily be removed when you need to access the items in the back. Hopefully that makes sense! 🖤
Very much the same. Not a teacher, never have been. Have been watching Michelle for years to get her organizational tips and secrets. I’ve used her channel to organize my home office, my work cubicle, my garage, and my productivity.
Ha, ha. The Formula bin stores my bandaids! 😂 Thanks for choosing my photo and for the tips! Thanks also for being positive about suggestions. I appreciate it. :)
LOL! That makes total sense! Thank you so much for submitting your photo! I couldn't have done it without you! I'd love an updated picture if you want to be included for a follow up! You can email it directly to pocketfulofprimary@gmail.com 🥰🖤
Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback Payton! 🥰 I would LOVE to do follow ups if they submit updated photos! Fingers crossed!
Absolutely YES to continuing this series!!!! I loved your suggestions for bins, organization, and labeling. This video really got me thinking about my space at school and what I can improve. Side note: thank you so much for the signed book plate and sticker for preordering your upcoming book. I know we are all very excited for its release. So proud of all you do! 💜
Aww, thank you as always Mandy! You're the best! I'm so happy you enjoyed it and got some ideas. Also, YAY! I'm thrilled the bookplate made it to you! I really appreciate all your support and kind words 🥰🖤🎉 You're the best and I hope you have a great week ahead!
Michelle, I'd bet that if you were running for President you would probably win. With that said, you being The Queen of Teachers with soul food for Non Teachers on the side is good enough for me. Yes, even though I am a non teacher please make this a series. An organized person leads to being a stable person. - Dwight
Love this series! I would love to see follow ups from teachers who then organized the space the way you recommended to show what worked or what didn’t!
Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback Gabrielle! 🥰 Fingers crossed they both submit follow up pictures so I can update everyone! That would be great! 🎉
Yes, do like this series! Especially that viewers get to send in pictures of their organizing challenges. I've retired from full-time teaching, but solutions you're sharing useful for me at home now!
Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback Ruth! 🥰 Yesss... thank you to both Renee and Kellie for sending in their photos! I definitely might do a home version (maybe over the summer?) in the future!
Michelle, thank you so much for your insight into my space!!! You saying my classroom is beautiful made my LIFE 🥺 Love all your suggestions and I can’t wait to implement them!!!!
Like she said on adding the second set of drawers, if it won't fit below your bar, you can always take off the top and Frankenstein 2 sets of drawers into one custom sized one.
Oh my gosh Kellie... I'm so happy you saw this! I would LOVE follow up pictures from you (you can email them directly to me at pocketfulofprimary@gmail.com) if you do make some changes... there have been several comments requesting them 😉 Thank you again so much for your submission and your classroom truly is beautiful!
Currently waiting on the second set of Sterilite drawers to make its way to me!! I will definitely take pictures and send them your way. I found out today I CAN take that bar down so we’re on our way to an organized space!! 😍
I have resently become a church Sunday school teacher, with my own classroom. And this classroom hasn’t been organized in probably 5+ years. And there is so much supplies and stuff crammed into a cabinet! I am reorganizing it and making it my own. So I love seeing this video and you helping out. It makes me happy and inspired!
Yes yes yes and yes keep doing this! You could even do the same thing with what’s in my teacher bag and try and show better bags, what you need and don’t. My teacher bag is so big and I feel like I am doing it wrong
More of these types of videos please! Last June I was inspired by you to reorganize my entire classroom. I used your amazing labels from your TPT store (best purchase EVER) and everything just looks so aesthetically pleasing now. One of my favorite ideas that I got from you was to use photo boxes to organize materials. Now, when I need to grab an activity for the day, it is so easy to find and access. Can you do some home organizing videos too? Your home is so beautifully organized and I would love some tips! Guess what I spent my entire week of from school doing this past week? You guessed it, ORGANIZING! Thank you again for another informative video. I always learn something new!
Aww, thank you so much as always! I'm so happy I could inspire you to reorganize your classroom... I know that must have been a HUGE task but one that made your life much easier later on. I'll definitely consider doing a home version this summer 🥰 Also, I completely support spending time off organizing 😂 Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback! 🖤
I also enjoy listening and watching for your ideas. I don't have trouble with organization myself, but I like to be invited into other teacher's classroom to help them get organized. Figuring out their organizing style is important. I prefer things to be behind doors but some teachers need their stuff out to be seen. Thanks for helping other teachers so much.
The Classroom Edit: Michelle Emerson Style! Great ideas. I’ve always thought this would be a great idea for a business. Some of us just don’t have the time or skills to organize, or we just get stuck. This is actually why I found your vlogs 6-7 years ago. I was having a room makeover and was looking on UA-cam for organizing suggestions.
LOL... yes! Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback Dorothy! 🥰 I'm happy you found my channel and have stuck around for all this time! 🖤 Thank you for your support!
Yes, I would love to see this as a series! Especially if the people you are helping implement your suggestions, and we get to see the final "edit". You may have to start your own version of The Home Edit, and call it The Classroom Edit!
Hey Michele! This video was very helpful even if it wasn’t my space. It still gave me great tips for my own space! This was a very fun video and I would like to see it come back on a regular basis! Thanks for making great videos!
Keep them coming! I soooo wish you could come to my classroom. I don’t have the “organization brain” that I desperately desire, so this is a godsend! Thank you, Michelle! PS- I love all of your videos! You have helped me so much and given me hope that I can be the teacher that I want to be. ❤
Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback Dani! 🥰 I'm so happy you enjoyed the video and I wish I could come to your classroom too! Thank you for all your kind words! 🖤
Really liked this! Gave me some things to think about when opening my new classroom up in the next couple months. I get to start over because my old school closed down. My old room has two decent sized closets and my new one has none. There are four low slide cabinets that are VERY shallow. I know you said shallow is good but these are like a foot and a half or less 😅 not sure how best to organize them. I aspire to be a little more organized each year and you’ve definitely helped me a ton! Thanks, Michelle.
Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback Andrea! 🥰 I would LOVE if they did and will definitely include them in an update video if they submit updated photos!
I would love to see more videos like this!! I love seeing how others utilize their classroom spaces and seeing the suggestions you provide. This would be a great idea for a Facebook group, we could share photos and give each other ideas on how to store things.
I love this! Organization is my love language! My problem area is the lack of functionality in my "teaching zone" in the carpet area. Would you be willing to offer a fresh perspective!? Love your channel from your days in the classroom as well as the content you offer now.
Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback Tina! 🥰 Also, absolutely! Please feel free to submit some photos... that would be so fun to give ideas on! 🖤
This was awesome! You always post about things I need most! I recently started reorganizing my classroom and started to feel like I was hitting a brick wall. I am definitely going to use these tips and tricks. Looking forward to the next video!!
Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback Kirsten! 🥰 I'm happy you enjoyed it and yes... I think almost every teacher has been victimized by a deep cabinet at least once 😂
Love this! Please keep as a series! My classroom has NO built-in storage and no natural storage. It was designed to be a computer lab long ago, but one long shelf with a bunch of outlets under it, does not a great kindergarten classroom make. I just hope I get a new classroom next year!
Michelle, I LOVE this! I’m a 3rd year teacher but a 1st year STEM teacher, kids come to me for special 2-3X per week (K-4 kids) and I need help with storing diff materials and student projects. Thanks for this video!
I worked for my university’s brand new daycare and the supply closet fills up so fast and easily cluttered with so. many. materials 😵💫 games, supplies, folders. Definitely helps to be organized!!

I need help with technology. My school hasn’t upgraded our document cams or projectors. How could I make them wireless? With all these school shootings our doors have to be locked, kids aren’t allowed to open them. I’m stuck to a section due to the problem I have. It interferes with classroom instruction due to the constant interruption of having to open the door. Any suggestions?
Anchor charts can be a pain! You could get a magnetic curtain rod and hang them from the rod so you can flip through them easily and access the ones you need. As I mentioned in the video, you can also roll them and store them upright, but they will be harder to unroll when you want to use them.
I think many people would be interested in your videos on organizing! To add, though, why don't you actually go to someone's classroom to organize their space and do that for a video? You could demonstrate your ideas even better. 😀

Am I a teacher? No. Do I need to know how to organize a classroom? Yes!
Am I a homeschooling mom? No. Do I need to learn how to organize the gazilion materials I have like I am homeschooling mom... yes hahahahaha
HAHA, no shame! Thank you so much for watching and commenting Travis! 🥰 I'm happy you enjoyed it!
Very much the same. Not a teacher, never have been. Have been watching Michelle for years to get her organizational tips and secrets. I’ve used her channel to organize my home office, my work cubicle, my garage, and my productivity.
I am the exact same I am only in 7th grade almost 8th grade, but I want to be a teacher when I grow up

Ha, ha. The Formula bin stores my bandaids! 😂 Thanks for choosing my photo and for the tips! Thanks also for being positive about suggestions. I appreciate it. :)
That’s a great idea for the bandaids!
As a broke, new mom teacher, it was all I could afford... To repurpose the container. It kinda just stuck, and reminds me of those times. 🥰
Would love an updated picture!
LOL! That makes total sense! Thank you so much for submitting your photo! I couldn't have done it without you! I'd love an updated picture if you want to be included for a follow up! You can email it directly to pocketfulofprimary@gmail.com 🥰🖤
@@PocketfulofPrimary I would love to do a follow-up... Aka motivation! I did go through and purge a lot already, when would you need it by?
This is such a cool idea! You should do a follow up in the next video where they reorganize and send in an update!
Yes, I agree with this!!
Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and sharing your feedback Payton! 🥰 I would LOVE to do follow ups if they submit updated photos! Fingers crossed!
