Such a beautiful keyboard! 😍 For the purpose of learning chords, I do feel it's easier for viewers to watch demos from a regular keyboard as we all have some degree of visual memory to help us find our way.
@@b.e.r.nnetwork8251 likewise, the colours are not that relevant to me when the shapes are completely different. But I can see from a tutorial standpoint, visually why they'd be relevant. They can almost blend into one another from the top down view on this keyboard. Back to black and white keys 🥲

You sparked an entire practice session for me lol. For a while I’ve been looking for a way to evolve as a good church musician. The skills and voicings this video teaches may just be the way.
Question: Why is Dmin9 the 2nd in the chord progression when we're playing in Dmin? Shouldn't it be the 1st since its the first note in the scale of Dmin?
Great Video!!! Maybe I didn't pay attantion, but - I think that the 2nd and 3rd progressions are actually the same? I - V(iii) - iii - ii - V - I Isn't it?
Hey brother. I'm not sure but I'd love to be able to do that. If you know how it could be achieved with this keyboard I'd love to get in touch. By the way, just subscribed!

hello, i've been dabbling with music for a long time but this side is still a mystery to me "My Boo - Key: F# minor VI - V - i - vii - iii" could anyone help explain what this the roman numerals represent?
So each major or minor key has 7 notes (or scale degrees, 1-7). We can number these notes 1-7 and subsequently each chord derived from that note. Now each chord in the key can be represented by a number. We do this so playing and learning chord progressions are not key dependent. How to read the roman numbers - Uppercase letters = a major chord, i.e C Major, lowercase letters = minor chord, i.e C Minor. So a ii - V - I in the key of Cmajor would be Dm - Gmaj - Cmaj. In the key of A major that same progressions would he Bm - Emaj - Amaj Hope this makes sense. They are other symbols to denote things like diminished and augmented chords but those are the basics.
@@stefanguy this actually helps a ton man thank you - this explains why i always felt basically locked to whatever key i would mess around with for a beat. im gonna screenshot your reply for when i pick back up the keys, hopefully soon :D
Nope, the 2 and the 5 are in the key of the 1. So say I’m in the key of C.
