    Adam (and OS team), you've absolutely nailed the 'practice with me' format; the ones you were putting out through the pandemic were fantastic, and now with this level of production and live drumming is a game changer. Very excited to see more like this and with subjects applicable to other instruments (lines/phrasing/playing changes etc).

    64, played all my life, but learned only to read music (notes). Timing; well, I love improv because I can’t read that. But with recent time and work that’s getting better.     Okay, this is sick. I'v been playing by ear and using chord charts for years, and can hold my own fairly well. It's sickening the ever so slight variation of tones opens a new world of sound. Darn, really thinking about joining up with this guy.

    I realized thinking about the 7b13b9 is easier if you think a chord minor7b5 + 1 step above the root note, so in this case its just gminor7b5 on top and A on the bottom which is one step above G

      Warren Macphearson just released a whole video on this dominant b9 chord yesterday. If you want the b13 play a min7b5 a whole step below the root. If you just want the b9, play a dim 7 a whole step below the root.

    Fire. I love the production on this video. Very well done. Another fun progression to play is E-9b5 // A7b9b13 // D-9 // G13b9 Cmaj9. Bass notes in LH, RH has G-maj7, G-7b5, Fmaj7 Fdimmaj7 E-7.

    Lowdown by Boz Scaggs has those 1st two chords as the main vamp (Em9 - A13) and eventually Yacht Rock was born.. of course David Paich being the composer it's no surprise it's jazzy. thanks for all your videos!
