Excellent lesson! My wife likes to make up songs, and when she gets to the final V7, she stops and walks away just to mess w me. And I'm like "resolve it! RESOLVE!!!" 😂

That’s called spousal abuse! 😂 I remember in college our music professor told us someone did that to either Bach or Beethoven after they went to bed, and the composer was so rattled he had to get up out of bed, go to the piano, and hit that final tonic!

JESUS CHRIST died for you on a cross for our sins. 3 days after his death he resurrected and is The TRUE LIVING GOD. In a prayer repent from your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and also ask for the HOLY SPIRIT to come into you in that same prayer as well. Have FAITH in CHRIST. You could come to Jesus Christ as you are, but once you accept Him, you have to become new, change, and be born again, and turn away from all wicked ways. I never hear people talk about the functions of individual chord tones in a larger context like this! This is a great way for newcomers to learn but also for existing musician to fill the gaps left behind by too many teachers.

It depends on whether you bought a steel string folk type guitar or a real CLASSICAL guitar.
If you bought a folk type guitar, stick with steel string, but use LIGHT gauge steel strings. After playing awhile, you’ll develop calluses and be more comfortable. If you bought a classical style guitar, use MEDIUM gauge CLASSICAL strings. They are easy on the fingers. Good luck and be patient. If possible, find a good teacher. I’ve played for 60 of my 80 years and continue to play about an hour or more a day!!
