I hope the content creators are still alive-and-kicking..?? Only just come across this channel and it’s exactly what I love🙌🏻 Such a shame they’ve stopped uploading but hopefully they’re doing well regardless🙏
@@yoiyomismo Perfectly-put on both accounts-it’s like a huge naked cat opening up an ancient buried-chest, rummaging through it and then discovering a really old, large onesie covered in orange and white fur with black stripes, putting the whole thing on and then realising he/she’s found their ancestral garbs and as they wear it they suddenly realise after a life feeling lost and wandering in misery they’ve found their way home🍻🔥
Great video. I really saw in myself how much I rely on modern things like a knife, saw, wool blanket, and a lighter. This video showed you don’t need any of those. Thanks for making this video.
Absolutely loved it! This is some of the best primitive survival content on UA-cam I've seen in a long time. I subbed and hit the bell as soon as I finished watching. I particularly liked the way you showed your night's rest after all the hard work - it gave a real structure and meaning to the video. One piece of constructive criticism - the editing could have been done a little differently. You can tell the story of your trip more effectively by cutting out some of the more repetitive footage. Fewer sped up timelapses and more cuts might be something to consider. I look forward to your next adventure!
Ben thank you for your kind and generous comments. I will take your advice too and hone my skills on the editing and adding more time lapse. Thats great advice.
Instant subscriber. Not too many reenacting the Paleolithic/Neolithic, and those who do among my favorites here. Surely the most difficult;t to reenact, the farther back we go. Thanks for what you do. Heaven help me if I ever have to use a friction method anywhere but under ideal desert conditions. I wonder if our Paleolithic ancestors had striker methods--- flint and pyrite? Pyrite so rare though so maybe not. For me always striker first, with carried dry tinder. If conditions are unfavorable for striker (without carried tinder), likely friction will then be even more difficult. Love the cuisine. Eat tree fruit: strong!. Drink tree leaf: refreshing! Eat wrack: smooth, salty! Eat weed: dance around! Eat mushroom: sit very, very still. Cheers!
Otzi the iceman was found with a flint and pyrite striker so we know that average people were using them during the Neolithic. I’d wager flint striking methods go back even further than that though, possibly even older than friction fires. The ancient flint striking methods are very difficult though since they didn’t have steel and the steel is key for getting that good high temp spark, so the ancient version of it would’ve still been challenging, no more or less than the bow drill.
Brilliant stuff! I loved watching this video. It’s good to see someone who knows their stuff, making it highly informative as well as interesting to watch.
Of the many bushcraf videos I have seen, you are the first I have seen that makes a campfire without the EU margins since everyone cuts the wood as standard to a certain size👍.
I love this kind of videos. I am an instant subscriber. I would be tempted to put some green branches at the very top of the lean to just protect it from fire
Nice Video slim pickins for dinner. Make a reflector back to the fireplace to direct the heat ack at your leanto. Take the cooling rock and put it under soime dirt in your sleeping are. add a few round rocks as heaters
Wayne buddy! great to hear from you man. I hope you are well and still doing great things. I really enjoy watching your videos too. Keep up the great work!
what you shud have way more subscribers i bet this year are the next you will have millions of subscribers mark my words your skills are invaluble 👍👍👍👍👍👍💪🇨🇮💯
I wonder why the shelter's roof is so sharply short barely covering your bald head it might catch some cold.. Roofs are supposed to have an overhang but yours are like a 90°right angled almost short to the outer most part of your body lying down..
I beg get some leather boots 🥾 and a Survival knife 🔪 and corn bread mix and stew 🍲 and powder milk 🥛 and coffee or tea and suger and a pan and all so a tent 🏕 and build shelter around it all so survival fishing or hunting
I would really be impressed if you tanned those hides yourself my hides a5e to scratchy and stiff my dad and i took hours tanning not as soft and supple as what you have
that lean to sucks even if the rain comes straight down he will still get soaking wet. It's just to small for protection from the elements or anything else for that matter. I don't this our ancestors would have been that careless even way back then.
essa câmera é muito ruim... ela deixa as texturas das coisas como se fosse uma pintura, eu gravava com uma Gopro 6 Black, comecei a ver isso nos meus vídeos, dai me disfiz.
Interesting but the edit is terrible. Way too long sequences. I stop watching after 10 min. Pity because I like this stuff. A course on video editing perhaps?
ahhhahahahhahhaaahhhaahhhahahahhhahahhahhaaaaaaaaaaah.. thank you i haven't laughed like that since the last 'off-grid" ON IPHONE video i heckled...(a few minutes ago). this guy is too much.. comes out in caveman costume and starts talking to the IPHONE he set up himself to film himself playing caveman camp in the woods all by himself.. good old MEtube is rec'n up some classics. just curious but how many hours a week do you play dress up in front of your phone? then editing.. wow next level narcissism here folks. almost as bad as the guntubers, and off-griders...almost. and it ain't 'solo' guy when you have the whole world with you at your fingertips..

Same here, I love the connection that primitive skills make with something deep inside us. And the aesthetics are awesome.

Thank you Make it Primitive
Looking foward to your next vid!
Interesting and enjoyable to watch. Thank you for filming
Thank you Ruth
I think that clean forest must be in the center of a golf course, never encounter such a clean place in deep woods.
I hope these creators come back, I know it cannot be easy making this content.
Looks great man congrats!
Thank you David...
Nice Firedrill...Dude.

Stone Age…..or Bishop Stortford off the M4
Friend, I ask you to specify the language in the video settings and enable subtitles. Thank you for an interesting movie!
I wonder why the shelter's roof is so sharply short barely covering your bald head it might catch some cold..
Roofs are supposed to have an overhang but yours are like a 90°right angled almost short to the outer most part of your body lying down..
You would have used way fewer calories with a stone knife which any stone age man would be naked without.
Entertaining content
Leanto is not steap enough. He will have droppings in heavy rain.
An often seen mistake.
Aside of that nice vid !
Dan, have you got a link to your other channel, The Danimal?
Great vid, well done 👍

Save some for the little people 😮
Hi, I have a question about your clothes. Where can I get Stone Age clothes like that from? Thank you for your great video
We made these from scratch using deer skins and brain tanning them.
Best to find a course in brain tanning. Where are you based?
Сколько денег нужно было потратить? Чтобы войти в роль пешерного человека😅
Here from Reddit
Thanks - looking forward to making more.
@@primitivestoneage7450 where in the world are you filming out of. america?
Is that only for 1 day? That's not for winter proofed
I dont think most primitive people had stocking caps, just my opinion, hair would be hard to cut and more usefull as a natural hat.
Can't wait to see more! Shame the mic didn't work.
Cheers Patrick - looking forward to creating more Stone Age adventures

What bit you I wonder
Confusing and not very well organised, you wouldn't survive a week!
So he actually taught nothing, just ranted like an acedemic. Not a single peice of practical information
The sequences are way too long ! Boring to look.I switched off after seeing 8 min always the same😢.
Very good❤
Dude you can buy food and you can’t buy one lighter 😂fake survivor skill😂
