@LivinginRaleighTV I see. I look forward to that. I remember the All-In Burger at Red Hot being very good. I forgot what the one at The Pit was called.
Burger Shop is just 3 blocks from me, so I'm there a lot (not surprised it's on the list). #3 and #7 - had those and yes, definitely great. Haven't tried those other yet, so I've got some burger-eating to do next year :
Thank you! We’re currently working on more but they take a while to film. We’ve filmed about 20 BBQ restaurants so far with many more still to do to be in a video coming soon!
Not sure I saw anything about locally sourced meat in the list. An above average to top 10 is the "local burger" at Carolina Brewery in Pittsboro. A top 5 burger is Tribeca Tavern in Cary. Will try Al's.
Nice job! Love Al’s, and would have gone there too much had it been there when I was at UNC. I remember Chris from UNC, but didn’t know him. Good job with these videos!
Personally I think Smashburger on Erwin rd near Duke hospital in Durham and on Falls of the Neuse rd in Raleigh is way better than Shake Shack but that's just me
Smashburger was on our list, it was good, just not to the level of the 10 we have listed. It came down to unique burger taste. Smashburger again was good, just not Top10 good. BUT... we appreciate your opinion and comments !!

Frankly, we debated if we should list them all, in order, or not. In the end, we decided we didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings or damage anyone's business. But, we can discuss it again if you'd like the details. Just let us know your thoughts.
@@chrismorton9552 Would be nice to see a list to know if there are any you missed. Ive had some awesome burgers in the area, wondering if those places were looked at
@@NCdragon21 Thanks for the recommendation. We haven’t tried their burger but we have enjoyed their other food. We’ll definitely give it a try next time!
If I ate 51 burgers, I wouldn't be able fit through a door! Now I want a burger!!!!! I really like hitting Hibernian for a good double burger every now and then.
Wow, so Five Guys really sucks? Five Guys came in almost last, below other chains like Red Robin, Smashburger, BurgerFi, Steak 'n Shake, and Shake Shack. I guess these rankings are highly subjective since others put Five Guys on par with Shake Shack. Also there are some that say BurgerFi's CEO burger beats out Shake Shack's offerings, so rankings depend on what burger you choose from the menu.
This video was filmed a few years ago. Shake Shake used to be better than it is now. A lot of these burger chains reduced quality of ingredients while simultaneously increasing cost. Five Guys has never been one we personally love. BurgerFi is very average, but this ranking is largely based on comparing the regular cheeseburger at all these establishments. A lot of the top burgers on this list are not good anymore. Angus Barn burger is horrible now - they changed all the ingredients. The Cabo Burger at Salt and Lime is not good anymore either- they reduced the quality of ingredients.
Lost all credibility by not even having Snoopy's on the list. Snoopy's is the best simple double cheeseburger I've ever had. Holy crap I'm disappointed in you. Snoopy's markets their dogs, but their burgers are best
@@johnwarring2337 We decided to stop by and try Snoopy’s today for lunch. Great burger! If we had included it in this video we would put it 15 out of 52, but definitely one of the best value burgers. Thanks for sharing!
@@LivinginRaleighTV I don't care if you're lying and trying to butter me up; good job. Hope you actually did have it though, good job on your social engagement! i've been an ass and you've been nothing but nice! Well done
So, we tried one burger place off your list! Corbett’s burgers & Soda Bar of Cary should definitely be on this list!! Their burgers blow away the burgers and fries we just ate! So I’m revising my comment. Went back to Corbett’s and ate our burgers at home (10 min drive) the burger wasn’t as good to be in top 10! So eat at Corbett’s if you want to love your burger. 👍🏻
Corbett's is on our list but just not in the top 10 when we tried it. If you look in the description we rank all 51 burgers there. The burger at Corbett's wasn't bad, but we LOVE their hotdogs and crazy big soda collection!
Wake Forest Burger Shop is the Truth!! I used to go there on my lunch break when I worked around the corner but I still make the trip to Wake Forest every now and then to get some of their burger goodness.
Completely disagree with Abbey road (Cary). Gave it a shot last week and the burger was mediocre at best (average patty, terrible bun) I still have yet to find a great burger joint since moving here 4 months ago. I was going to give Al's a shot until I spotted some articles about the owner (sexual assault allegations?)
We haven't been there for a couple years, but it was really great last time we had it. The Angus Barn also has a great burger that we can confirm is still amazing.
I've been watching you for a while. I don't always agree with you especially because i don't like this area and allot of the food here is just awful. I think you were pretty spot on with this list even though we havent been to some of them. Pizza would be a good one. 😁
Thank you so much!! My husband and I will be heading to everyone of these places!! Can’t wait to taste these amazing burgers ourselves! ❤️
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for watching!
Were Red Hot and Blue and The Pit considered for this?
No, but they were both filmed in our BBQ video that we haven’t finished yet
@LivinginRaleighTV I see. I look forward to that.

# 1 Al's Burger Shack - Chapel Hill
# 2 Angus Barn - Raleigh
# 3 Abbey Road - Cary and Apex locations
# 4 Salt & Lime - North Raleigh
# 5 Vidrio - Raleigh
# 6 Player's Retreat - Raleigh
# 7 Shake Shack - Waverly Place, Cary
# 8 Bar Virgile - Durham
# 9 Relish near Crabtree Valley Mall
#10 Burger Shop - Wake Forest

Durham also has Bull City Burger which is also near DPAC. They have their own brewery too.
Just moved to North Raleigh and me and my girlfriend love your videos and advice! You should make more food videos!

I had an Al's Burger Shack burger when they first opened and... never been back.
You should go back
Exactly!!!! Highly overrated
Good job. Keep up the great work. I just subscribed!
Awesome! Thank you!

That's awesome! Al's is great. Glad you agree!
Can’t watch this while I’m hungry. 🤤
Same here!
Thanks for sharing 💃🏽
Welcome!
What were the prices ?
Anywhere from 6 up to 19 with most falling in the middle.
‘Just tried the burger at Al’s Burger Shack in Chapel Hill and you’re right, it’s one damn fine burger!

Hmmm...I went to school at UNC. Al's is great but I'm not sure it's the best burger in the triangle
It’s the best burger in NC

$6.75 for a Cheeseburger (no it is not huge) but toasted fresh bun and tasted pretty good.

Yes we did, not bad but definitely not one of the top

Ya gain any weight doing this “research”? Lol
It must have been fun none the less!!
We spread this "research" out over a year to minimize that lol
Lol since when is the burger shop an institution? Its been there like 7 years maybe
