I don't have difficulty with pronouncing French or English writers, but some Indian names and South Asian names I sometimes have difficulty with. It's why I always look up how to pronounce an author's name before I start talking about them to my friends. Just to make sure I am saying them right. :) There's some really great pronunciation guides out there for authors names. Or how to say names in specific cultures.
I’m hope everyone who is reading this is doing well despite all of the difficult circumstances in our world right now. ❤️Please know that you are loved and supported, no matter what you think.
normal people: my books are organized by genre. me trying to organize my books by genre: medieval novels, medieval fantasy novels, medieval literature, medieval shit... oh well.
This is legitimately the best bookshelf tour I've ever seen. It's wasn't just monotone reading all of titles and it wasn't so chatty that it just felt like a vlog. You got the perfect balance!! Bravo!! 👏🏽
I have 791 titles in my Audible library. Listening to books on my hour-long commute to/from work for 20+ years kept me sane. When I started listening to my books, rather than reading paper books, my personal library already filled the walls of my third bedroom. Keep in mind I’ve been collecting books since my early teens and I’m approaching 70 in the next few years. I have unhauled all my old paperback novels and only replaced those that I still desire to re-read in the audio format. My remaining paper books are signed originals, or mixed media art books that just wouldn’t work in digital format. Seeing the large space necessary to house your amazing library makes me realize that my preference for a digital library has been a good decision for me. I watched every minute of your tour and am astounded by the beauty of your collection, combined with nicknacks and jewelry. It is now my dream idea of what a library should look like, as I do collect these items as well. I have noted a number of your recommendations and plan to try several of them from my local library before purchasing them in audio format. Surprisingly, the series your Grandfather loved looks especially interesting to me. Thank you for this lovely tour. I am now a devoted fan of yours! Isn’t it interesting how the love of books spans the generations?
Hannah is one of my favorite booktubers because she's so peaceful and relaxing to watch, her voice is also very calming for some reason and her videos always make me want to read . Also she's so pretty 💕
I have over 4,000 books. So my organization goes like this: the stack of books I bought last week; the stack of books I bought a few weeks ago; a shelf of books that used to make sense until I started stacking more books in front of them; you see where I'm going with this. Yes, I have a storage unit - with lighting and wall-to-wall bookshelves which is in alpha order, but unfortunately, I have about 300 books that need to be shifted over to the storage unit. My book life is OUT OF CONTROL. I envy the organization and beauty of Hannah's nicely arranged shelves. Love your channel, Hannah!
do have a physics test tomorrow? yes should i be studying right now? yes did i still click on the notification with the speed of light as soon as i saw it? YES!
This is my asmr. A familiar vice talking about books and showing pretty covers is so soothing. I fall asleep to this video a lot, it's probably my most viewed since it came out. Thank you for all the effort put into this.
Since you asked, I organize my shelves based off genre but next level. I basicly make my whole library like a “if you liked this, read this video” so i put similar books next to each other like my fae books are all next to each other and those mush into anything about pirates or wtvr and then books with libraries ext. it’s really weird but I enjoy it that way a lot
I'm 30 years old and have never been an avid reader. Seeing your impressive collection has inspired me to make up for all the time I've wasted and read more. Great video!
I’ve always been a reader, but finding your channel and watching one of your first bookshelf tours is what got me into the “i need a proper bookshelf” mindset
My girl you’re radiating sunshine through my phone screen , Hannah I got to tell you I had an exam today it wasn’t great but MY GOD your smile is so bright and warm that it feels like a sunflower is blooming in my heart It’s really made my day I love you so much my tinkerbell 🧚♀️✨
I really love your bookshelf tour videos.. It is really soothing and fun to watch.. Thank you for making them Hannah.. I just started reading and have a small bookshelf and so I organise my books by having books I have read in one shelf and not read in other shelf. And those book which I've read book 1 and other book is left I put them on my desk.
Reread Percy Jackson last year, and I'm now making my way through the Heroes of Olympus series for the first time. I am so in love with all of the characters, new and old. It is so good!!!
Judging by the books you've read, you need to read the witcher series! I am currently almost at the end of series and i love this so much! I love how Sapowski wrote it (but i don't know how much the translation changes it, i'm polish so read it in original language) and overall the storytelling and characters are so amazingly shown, i love it with my whole heart!
So glad we finally got this video from you. It was definitely worth the wait. That’s awesome that you have so many books and were able to organize them. Most important is that it makes sense to you, and given that you have such a wide variety they are bound to be some shelves that need to blend a bunch of different types.
I love your videos sooooo much, honestly I binge watch them. I haven’t been able to read as much lately because I am currently preoccupied with exams, but you have literally brought be back into reading. Also I love how passionate and unapologetic you are while taking about books and I have literally taken almost all of your recommendations so seriously. Keep posting amazing content and stay safe and healthy.
I found you about 2 weeks ago when I found out about booktube and I love your personality. Although I only read horror/thriller/mystery/true crime books and the occasional nonfiction, your videos are some of my favorite to watch! ☺️
Thank you, Hannah, for posting videos again. You give me hope one day I may overcome my anxiety and ED. I can't put into words how much I adore and admire you. You are strong, beautiful, intelligent, kind, brave, honest, and the most loving person I've seen on the internet. Just know there is a lot of poeple who want you to be happy and love you💜💜💜 Stay safe, strong, and kind 💜
Each shot of each shelf was SO satisfying and beautiful to look at. Thanks for all the work you put into this. Your collection is beautiful and so are you!
Of all the similar videos I have seen, this is my favorite! Her voice, the organization ( not only the books but also the video itself) and her collection. AMAZING! 🤍 Thank you for this :)
The way I organize my books is just me asking myself "does that book look good standing next to the other one" lol. If I get a new book and it doesn't look good where there is open space on the shelf I will rearrange several shelves or even the whole bookshelf if I have to to make it look pretty.
It's actually wild how similar my taste in books is to yours! I started watching your videos about a year ago or so and it still spooks me every time. Anyways, I hadn't read the PJO series since I was like 12 years old either, so I decided to reread it last year in quarantine and it was the best decision ever, it got me out of an over three years long reading slump and made me super happy, I definitely recommend it haha I had never finished the second series either, it was also very much worth it! Thank you for the lovely video, enjoy your reading queen ✨
I have 529 books. I had more but I donated a few and then like you, I've been collecting books since I could remember. Some I bought or my husband and mom have bought me. One bookshelf I have came from a very beloved aunt who passed away from breadt cancer so it's very special to me. I organize mostly by author and I keep series together but that's it
Goodness I really needed this video today, been feeling so weird, anxious and all sorts of negative stuff. I was literally all teary after seeing the notification. Thanks Hannah, love you lots 😢😭😭💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
i'm literally obsessed with your bookshelf, a dream tbh. i would love love loveee to see a video on just taylor jenkins reid books, like reviewing them all!
Hannah, you are my FAVORITE person on UA-cam. You read, you do journaling, your aesthetic is * chef’s kiss* and you are soooo pretty! Hope you have an amazing day!
my mouth DROPPED when you said you haven't read the heroes of Olympus series...,.,.,. it is simply the best rick riordan series and you will fall in love with it SO HARD
It just nice to hear someone else is also loosing their HP nostalgia. This is the first time I've heard this from someone else. And thank you. I also heard it in the audiobook I'm listening to also. So 2x in one week.
I am so excited there’s another Aristotle and Dante book!! I can’t wait to come back to these two. The first book is in my all time top 5 favorite books!! 📚📚
I had had a really chaotic non-organization method, but just scrapped it and now have done alphabetical by author. Honestly this will be the only method for me now- then I don’t mind books not complimenting each other with this method. Your shelves look great 😊
I have three different ways. My main English bookshelf is by color. My French bookshelf is by genre. And I have an other bookshelf just for the aesthetic.
Mostly everything on mine is divided by genre and put in order that makes sense to my brain. My historical nonfiction is divided by the era the book is explaining, my Holocaust literature is divided by first hand accounts and general information about the Holocaust. My own French books... Well, I tried with alphabetical order, but I just threw the shelves together with French literature on top and French translations on the bottom. I tried to sort my books out by colour. Just took the entire collection and put them up in their different colour coordinates, but I nearly had a breakdown when I was trying to find a Dumas book that had a white spine and found another Dumas with a black spine on the opposite side of the bookcase, and I tore my shelves apart when I realized that one of my first hand accounts of the Holocaust was beside a historical romance filled with fluff because it had a blue spine. I tried really hard with the rainbows and sorting the books alphabetically... I even tried sorting out by genre, but separating classics based on their genre meant that I had to break up collections, divide authors works, and it looked messy on my shelves. But I think I like your way and might try it with my French books.
Where do these people even exists !! You are an art yourself hannah !! Ur love for books is something I really look forward too !! How do you get time to read so much? Is this what u do for living !

I was the same with spiderwick. I was obsessed in the way in which I had my own journal. Recording the creatures I saw in my backyard. I had the games (the DS and the Xbox) and even though it is not a good adaption I still loved the movie and it was what introduced me to the books. I adore this series greatly for what it was to me and what it still is.

You are the reason why I started reading international books🥺💙. I think most of your videos are already seen by me, I'm so obsessed watching your videos💙.
I love shelf tours, I'm always so curious about what books people have, and they always give me a new book or two to add to my to-be-read pile 😁 I actually personally, for my own shelves, don't like keeping books from the same author together unless they're part of a series, nor do I like organising by genre or colour. I spend a lot of time making my shelves as mixed as possible in a way that still looks really nice^^
Wow Hannah 💕 I remember first seeing your 2017 bookshelf tour video a while ago! 😚 I’ve been watching you ever since then, and your basically the reason I fell in love with reading 🥺
ahh i'm going to take up my whole 40 minute lunch period watching this. i'm grateful for virtual school right now, because otherwise, i would not be able to do that :)
your classics are so unbelievably beautiful!! 😭 i’m just starting my book collection and i have my childhood books and now like 10 new books 💘 (owlcrate & some b&n) i organized all the books and goodies a few days ago and was utterly happy and giddy ahhh isabels necklace :))) so if that’s clares books order to read rigjt
If you haven’t already read A Winter’s Promise you definitely should!! that’s one of my fav fantasy series and i think you’d like it based off your other favs :)
I just realized I have been watching this channel for for like... four or five years now. I’m always so happy to see her upload. Can’t get enough of her positive bookish vibes.
Everyone organizes by genre and I’m like “series are together and then it’s just by vibes”
