I am a new subscriber and I love the way that you are non linear with the reads/editing. I have not seen it done before! The switch between talking about different reads kept my attention!
I love stats too and even though it didn’t bring you any new faves, I really enjoyed this video concept. I’m really bad a 5 star predictions myself, I feel like I never know ahead…
I had a similar experience with The Twyford Code. I really missed the multiple types of mixed media that we got in The Appeal, and the ending felt kind of over the top, so I ended up around 3 stars. Reading on audio helped me out with it when it dragged. I have The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels and The Christmas Appeal on my TBR for this year, and I'm hopeful for them, as well as The Examiner, of course!
i share exactly the same experience with Hallett! I also hope Twyford was just a fluke for her (i also think bc of the voicenote translations format it took a long time to read) bc her others were also 5 star favorites for me! so excited for her new one and hope it’s more like those
I felt very mixed about The Twyford Code. It was my first Janice Hallett and I haven’t read another one yet but I feel very confident that one of her other books will be AMAZING. It just didn’t work for me, but I see the potential lol🤩

Happy Virgo Season! 🎉
I’ve heard such good things about seven days in June!
What a fun idea for a vlog! I’m sorry these books didn’t end up being huge wins for you! What a bummer about A Sunny Place for Shady People
I’m sure others will have a better experience with it I just haven’t been in a short story mood lol hopefully you enjoy it if you pick it up!
I absolutely loved The Twyford Code. I am definitely going to re-read it at some point. Sorry to hear it was a bit disappointing for you.
I’ve been super slumpy this month after going through a reading blitz from May through July. Hoping to get back into it soon

And I thought I had a lot on my spread sheets! I love it!
