These ideas are so helpful! I never would have thought to use a needle minder to hold extra cloth out of the way. My extra cloth always looks pretty worn by the time I am finished with a project and this is a great way to keep everything nice!
A lot of other needle minders don't have strong enough magnets to manage it (or cheap out by putting a washer on the back instead of a second magnet), so it's nice that the CCS ones are strong enough!
Ok...I enjoy all Caterpillar Cross Stitch tutorials, but Ford, your tutorial made me smile the whole way through! I'm really looking forward to your next one. 😊❤️
When you were talking about the needle minders, I have about 20 of them hanging on the pole lamp next to my chair but I still put the needle in my tshirt.
Haha the snacks. 😂 This was so useful, thank you. I’m an experienced embroiderer and coming back to cross stitch after years away, but these tips were great. 💕
Welcome Ford! Hello to Nugget and Eleanor as well! Great video and very entertaining. I just got back into cross stitching again and project bags have been a game changer. No more zip lock bags for me. :) Happy Stitching!
Welcome Ford! I love the chop sticks idea and the tweezers! I'm constantly getting my hair and my cats hair on my projects. I'm always snacking while stitching and the chops sticks would work perfectly! Love nugget & Eleanor!
What a fun and informative video. I was actually eating puffy cheese puffs while watching this, lol, in Nashville Tennessee. I missed lunch. It's hotter than blazes here so I'm staying home today. Love the pets: I have a yellow parakeet and my daughter is insane for bunnies. She would love beautiful Eleanor 😍.
I don't even have to imagine, lol. My dog is an aussie shepherd and he definitely contributes his fair share of "exotic fibers", just not in as dramatic a way as Ellie!
Great vid with great tips(and lovely of course to see your overseers/helpers😊) It's my hair that I'm always having to tweeze out of my fabric 🙄 I've been cross stitching for many a year and I've yet to get my project backs to look as neat as yours!!🤦 Thanks again for the great vid....see you soon.
@@SonovaStitch just as well I too only care for how the end result on the front looks, sure it'll not be seen once in a frame.....phew😏 Looking forward to more vids.
Over a hoop, I believe it would. Probably not if you use a QSnap. It opens up to a bit over an inch I think. I've been known to clip it to my pint instead of to my stitch on occasion.
@@SonovaStitch thank you for responding! I do use a QSnap. What do you mean in the comment about pint? Is the lamp base magnetic so it can be placed on a needle minder?
The particular one I use does have a magnet on the back of it, yes! I have just clipped it to the rim of my glass while working in the dark western bar I mentioned to create a small, stationary pool of light.
Thank you so much for replying! I'm going to look into getting one! The chopstick hack makes me nervous. I do it too though. However, last month I was eating a piece of chocolate not near my project. I was still chewing it when I got to my project, and I sneezed so hard, a piece of chocolate landed on my fabric! Thankfully it washed out as it was right in the middle of the pattern.
Eleanor!!!! How cute!!!!

Love Nugget! ❤
Aren't they awesome!
Great video! Looking forward to seeing your upcoming one on storage ideas!
Hello Ford and our other guests. How cool indeed!
Thanks!
Great presentation. Nice to see more guys sharing their talents in the craftung community & I love your animal friends too!
Welcome Ford, enjoyed your video and look forward to more. Light pad and chopsticks great tips for me. Love Nugget and Eleanor.🌼🌻
Thanks! There are battery-powered light pads that are a little more convenient than my solution, but I preferred to work with what I already had.
I always cross stitch in hand and I put my needle minder on my shirt!

Hopefully this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

🤣😆
It took me a very long time to remember to use mine and not put them in my mouth, but I managed to make it a habit eventually!
Thanks Ford, this was great! And hello to Nugget and Eleanor!!
*waves*
I attended your live class last night and loved it. So happy to have found your channel and thanks!
Wonderful!

Hopefully you won't have to wait long!
Hi Ford, welcome x
Thank you!
Just found your video, love it!!! Nugget and Eleanor are so cute!!!!!
Thank you!
Good tip about the pattern in the wind. I stitch on the go all the time.
It took me an embarrassingly long time to think of it!
I never thought of the chopsticks idea. You do have to break your chocolate into squares in advance though.
Welcome Ford! Hello to Nugget and Eleanor as well! Great video and very entertaining. I just got back into cross stitching again and project bags have been a game changer. No more zip lock bags for me. :) Happy Stitching!
Right? I am so glad to be done with ziploc bags. Now I just gotta decide what I'm gonna stitch on that stitchable one!
Welcome Ford! I love the chop sticks idea and the tweezers! I'm constantly getting my hair and my cats hair on my projects. I'm always snacking while stitching and the chops sticks would work perfectly! Love nugget & Eleanor!
Thank you! Happy to spread the gospel of the cross stitch chopstick!
Brilliant!!!
Thank you!

Thanks! Big shoes to fill!
such a fun video!
Thank you!
I was wondering about Nugget. ❤ Great video! I look forward to more. Great meeting Eleanor too! Thank you for sharing your tips 😊
Where would I be without my supervisor?

Eleanor is very sweet. I've had rabbits most of my life and she's by far the sweetest and most affectionate. She actually asks to be picked up!
Tweezers ! What a great idea 💡 with 3 cats and a dog you can imagine there are lots of stray hairs! Brill video thank you 😊

I like the whimsy
Whimsical? Moi? *throws glitter and skips away into the heather*
Welcome, Ford! I am a rank beginner and I love this channel! Love your Budgies! ❤️💯
Thank you!
Enjoyed you short video. See you next time❤
Thank you!
Welcome and thank you for video :)
Thanks, and thanks for watching!
Welcome to the family Ford, love nugget and Eleanor 😂 my rabbit loving granddaughter is Eleanor so she will love seeing her.
Cute!
Thanks for watching!
🥰🥰🥰 Question - Will the book light clip work on the thicker, square frames? If not, do you have a recommend? Thanks!
Welcome !
thank you!
Welcome to the 3 of you, Great video thank you, although you did not actually say where you were from 🤣
Three points to whoever can guess!
California maybe? 🌞
At my house we have Husky glitter!
Great vid with great tips(and lovely of course to see your overseers/helpers😊)

I'll make a video about tips for a neat back at some point, but to be honest I only care insofar as it affects the front!

Very nice video, thank you 😊🧵🪡
Thanks, and you're welcome (respectively)
And Sonovastitch!
Would the lamp clip on a grime guard? I use grime guards to protect my fabric.

Hi Ford !! Im brand new stitcher !
Welcome! There are tons of videos here on the CCS channel that can help you get a leg up in this immensely enjoyable art form!
#caterpillarcrossstitch Hi Ford ! thx for the great info
Hi! You're welcome, thanks for watching!
Love your hair color and great video
Thank you! It's a lot of work to maintain so it's nice when people appreciate it!
