My F77 is 100% a keeper for me. Apart from the amazing dial and the overall design, the crystal is worth a mention as it is one of the best I've come across and elevates the already handsome watch up to another level.
Another great video. The F77 is a keeper in my opinion. I have a NG Antarctic spider. I, like you have a real soft spot for 70s style watches and have been thinking about the Tissot prx 35mm mother of pearl. But I’m now very tempted with the Citizen Forza super titanium automatic. Under £500 for a fully titanium watch with a dial to rival much greater price watches. I don’t however share your rigidity on watch sizes! Today I’ve been wearing my 1968 seiko 66 which is 31mm. Tomorrow I may be wearing my Hamilton pilot 47mm! As long as they are comfortable on my 7” wrist I like to have a wide range of sizes and shapes. Thanks for continued fresh content, very enjoyable
Great review. Thank you for hitting every competitor I am looking at. I have been looking seriously at the Maen Manhattan 37mm. I understand your desire to get the 37 in ultra slim, but as it is it is 3.3mm slimmer than the F77 and it is an automatic movement with a second hand.
I love this watch but I am sized out. The lug-to-lug is only 45mm but the true end-to-end includes the bracelet which extends out to 50.6mm, causing a bad overhang on my 6.5inch wrist. Real shame. Thanks for mentioning this point in the video.
I've long held the Grenchen is a fantastic buy just above the Tissot plastic powermatic, especially the no date dial. In period the Chronomaster was really chasing the UG bicompax, both in design & target demo. In fact I think they had the same dial from the same company, with different printing.
Hate to be that guy but lol the 38mm ice cream twelves have the OTF micro adjust in the clasp. It doesn’t say it on their website but they mentioned it on one of their posts on IG announcing the 38mm range. I’d double check just to confirm.
@@ImpulsiveWatches I’d assume it’s because they’ve released like 3 watches in the last month and are prob moving a bit too fast for their own good but they mention the otf feature on the 38mm in their IG post from July 18.
Great review and very helpful. I haven't handled one in person yet and I'm tempted to get their limited purchasing window carbon bracelet/case new launch. Have you seen that? What are your thoughts on that one?
@ImpulsiveWatches yeah. The purchase window is over unfortunately. Didn't pull the trigger, but maybe in the future. If you ever see one, do a review please!
As I mentioned in the video I think that really depends a two factors. The F77 isn't for everyone because of the elongated lug to lug, if your wrist is small you'll get some unsightly overhang. The other thing is that, it's a really good watch, it might put a stop to the idea of collecting at one model ^^.
You should try citizen Tsuyosa small seconds and the new Titanium small seconds model. They are different and they bot sit better on the wrist than PRX. Also, you spoke against ML Aikon Tide a few times, and while you cant really compare plastic and steel watches, when It comes to plastic, ML is the one doing the best job in terms of quality, which justifies a 500$ watch. Moonswatch looks great and has Omega on dial, but in hand it feels like a cheap Chinese toy. And the Kit Heuer F1 release is a disgrace, It packs everything people have hated about Tag Heuer since for the last 40 years.
This brand has been pimped out by the Swiss, the Mexicans, and American distributor pimps. Reminds me of Squale, Invicta, Zodiac, Vulcain, Hamilton, CWC, etc
Classic cash grab, factory in Grenchen is closed for 45 years and there is no production or factory in any Swiss city. Nivada now has maybe the worst qc and terrible service centers.Compnay is registered in Suisse while production and that famous service center is in China.

The smoke dial is gorgeous.
Beautiful, I’d have gone for the black but this is great also
Great round-up at the end!

I would do the exact same thing if only my wrist was bigger ^^
Beautiful dial and an uncommon color. 👍🏻

Patiently waiting for a CW Twelve 38mm in white 🤗
Nice high quality history section there!
I just purchased a Nivada Grenchen F77 no-date Blue dial and I am yet to receive it ... thank you mate, I now feel I made the right decision!
Enjoy
@@ImpulsiveWatches I just received the NG F77 and it looks better than the pictures!

Yeah I first learned about them from watching some Urban Gentry videos, it's a really nice watch.
Not inspired from the 1970's but actually a 1970s sport watch re-released! great review anyway.
Heinrich Helicoprion is a great option, especially the stone dial versions. CW 12 is my favourite in this space though.
Never heard of them before, thanks for the heads up!

Is that so? Why wouldn't they list that on the site that's mad.

@@theloniousmonkiv5982 Fair enough thanks for the info, I don't really use social media so wouldn't pick up on that.

Is this the black ceramic one or something else?

Starting watch collector here, should i buy the f77 titanium meteorite as my first “big league” watch? And why (not)

D1 Milano Automatico 41.5mm Myota 9015 colour matched date fantastic build quality for the price though no lume.
DON’T sell it! It is gorgeous!

I'm sure no one pays it, but the RRP of some of the tide models is nearly 1000 dollars.
i want one , what is your wrist size?
6.5

From my experience I think Yema would give them a good run for their money on poor qc and terrible service 🤣
