Get a chargeverter, and connect them to the solar input. That way you don’t have to disconnect the delta pros from the SHP. Just have to plug into your Rivian.
Might be a silly question. You mentioned that this should work with any EV with a/c output. What about d/c to a/c inverter? I'm guessing the inverter itself might be a bottleneck.. Unfortunately neither my 2019 model 3 or 2021 model y have a/c out.
That is a great idea! I assume the Ecoflow batteries cannot take a charging current when they are discharging which is why you have to unplug one to charge it.
That is correct. And that is also why I need the two battery setup. Initially, I was told that the Ecoflow (@ecoflowtech) battery could accept a charge while discharging. But I learned after installing the first battery that did not work. But the good news is it doubled my battery capacity! So, all in all, very happy with it.
Great idea, I’m not sure how bi-directional typically works but it’s unfortunate you’re converting from DC->AC->DC->AC. Wonder how much efficiency you lose.

How could you possibly start 3 AC condenser units let alone 1 in a blackout with a single ecoflow unit??

Awesome,great content. Thanks
Glad you liked it!

Great idea. I posted my backup plan on rivianstories. I think if we combined the two it would be perfect.
